“ I don’t think it’s only because of her” Mandy Bit her lower lip. “ What do you mean?” she asked Mandy. “ I think he left the house to look for Vanessa and her daughter” Mandy covered her mouth but it was too late, she didn’t want Grandma to find out Alfred had a child or her plan will be spoiled. “ A child? Whose child? The lady have a child?” She asked but Mandy didn’t answer again. Grandma turned to Bella and Mary who were standing closer to the kitchen and gestured to them to move closer.
“ That lady have a child?” She asked and Bella nodded her head. “ Who’s the father of the child?” She asked but Mandy signaled to them not to say a word about that. “ I’m talking to you!” She yelled at them and they fell on their Knees. She looked at the Assistant who was Praying she shouldn’t ask him. “ Answer me, you are his Assistant and must know everything!” She yelled at him.
“ It’s his child” The Assistant Said in fears. “ Who?” Grandma asked just to be sure of who he was referring to. “ The…The Boss’s child” He blurted. Grandma paused, her heart skipped a beat and she looked at Mandy. “ Alfred have a child? How? When?” She asked Mandy who was now standing beside the sofa. “ Alfred!! Call him back now!!!” Grandma shouted furiously. Everyone started Looking for their phones including Mandy, The Assistant as the first to bring out his phone from the front pocket. He was about dialing Alfred’s number when the door opened.
“ Alfred!” Grandma yelled his name as soon as he Entered the room. All eyes turned on him s he was surprised to see all of them in that state. Grandma stood up from the sofa, Alfred knew the meeting was all about him and he sighed. “ Grandma, you came” He said trying to fake a smile. “ Don’t even think about that. Where do you think you are coming from?” She shouted at him. The maids and the Assistant quickly left the sitting room, they ran outside instead of the kitchen.
“ Grandma, I….” She interrupted him. “ You what? Why would you do this to me, Alfred? Where did you know that girl? How did you even got her pregnant?” Grandma Barked at him. Alfred looked at Mandy who was standing behind the sofa, She Nodded her head indicating it wasn’t her that told her about the child. He looked at his Grandma and Sighed. “ Grandma, It all happened on the day that you disapproved of me and Kiara” He Said. “ You mean that child is 4 years now?” She asked as Calm as she could. “ Yes Grandma” Alfred answered. “ Get rid of them” She said and he Became more confused.
“ I don’t get it” He said and she moved closer to him. “ I said you should get rid of that Girl and the child. It isn’t your child, she’s just trying to blackmail you” Grandma said and Alfred Chuckled. “ Blackmail, Did you just say Blackmail? Mara is my child, I ran a DNA test on her and the result confirmed she’s my child” Alfred pointed to his chest. “ What! You did what? Are you out of it?” Grandma Took in a deep breath, she carried her bag from the sofa and looked at Alfred. “ Now listen carefully, I’m now talking to you as your Grandma who have right over you. Stay away from That girl and her child or else….” He interrupted her.
“ Or else what? You will get rid of them just like you always do to people? You are too old for all this Grandma. leave my life for me , I’m not the only Grandchild you have, why are you torturing me? What did I do to you to deserve this? You should have use this strength to safe my parents!!” Alfred Yelled at her Angrily. Grandma was taken aback, She looked at Alfred as he wiped the tears in his eyes. “ You dare shout at me!” She pointed to her chest. “ I want to live my life the way I want it to be, please stay out of it. Do not try to Harm Vanessa and Mara, they are the only people that makes me happy. You call yourselves my family but you all are the worst ever!” He yelled and ran upstairs.
Alfred locked himself in the room, his life wasn’t as it used to be for months now. He wished his parents were still alive, all those wouldn’t have been happening to him. Grandma also left the house, She was so angry that Alfred talked back at him because of Vanessa and she vowed to deal with her.
“ What have I done?” Mandy hit her head “ This is all my fault, I shouldn’t have report him to Grandma. Now she’s Angry with him” She sat down on the sofa and stamped her feet on the floor. “ This is all my fault” She looked at the direction of him room and sighed. “ I’m sorry Alfred. What should I do now! Oh God help me” Mandy prayed.

“ Oh God, this isn’t good. This is all Mandy’s fault” Bella said as they watched Grandma’s car leaving the house. “ I swear I thought the house would come down. I’m just glad that Vanessa isn’t in the house if not, who know what would have happened” Mary sighed, They turned to the Assistant who hasn’t say anything and they burst in to Laughter.
“ Yes go on, you can laugh as much as you want” He said cleaning the sweats on his forehead. His shirt was already soaked in sweats and he looked like someone who just came out from the pool. “ You Should have seen yourself when Grandma was yelling at you” Bella teased him. “ I was Scared, That woman’s voice sounds like thunder” They all burst in to Laughter again.
