Chapter 60: Chapter 60
Vanessa sat on the couch with Mara on her thigh. “ Are you hungry?” She asked and Mara nodded her head. “ I’m so Hungry, they didn’t give me any food Today” Mara cried. “ What do you want to eat?” Derek asked her, he was so mad that those traitors didn’t even give her something to eat.
“ Food” Mara said and he left for the kitchen. “ Baby, Do you know who took you from your room?” Vanessa asked but Mara didn’t know. “ No” She said. “ Is it Mandy?” Vanessa asked again. “ I don’t know” She said. Vanessa hugged her again and again, “ I missed you so much baby. Thanks for coming back to me” Vanessa said sobbing.
An hour later, Mara’s energy was restored. She ate a lot from the food and Vanessa cleaned her up and changed a dress for her. She was still in the pajamas they took her with. Vanessa lay on the bed with Mara holding on to her, she couldn’t be more happier.
“ Mummy, why are you in Uncle Derek’s house? Where’s Daddy?” Mara asked innocently. “ I packed out of that house Baby, Your Daddy insulted and shouted on me. I was so mad and I left the house. I’ll never go back to that house ever again” Vanessa said. “ Daddy Shouted at you? But he promised me that he won’t shout at you again. I’m so mad right now” Vanessa smiled, she touched Mara’s hair and sighed. “ We won’t go back to that house again, they don’t like us. Mandy doesn’t like us, Your Daddy’s uncles doesn’t like us either and…” Mara interrupted her. “ And even the Bully doesn’t like us” She said. “ Who?” Vanessa asked
“ Daddy’s Assistant, he doesn’t like us and he always bully me. Mummy, I don’t want to go back again, I’ll listen to you from now on. I wouldn’t have been taken away from you of I had listened to you when you said we shouldn’t stay there” Vanessa was so glad Mara said that by herself. “ That so good baby, let’s live our lives the way we were before. Would you leave the city with me?” Vanessa asked and Mara nodded her head. “ Yes I’ll leave with you, let’s not come back to this city again” She said.
Mara fell asleep hugging Vanessa, Vanessa held her tightly and watched her as she slept on her arms.
“ I love you baby” She kissed her forehead and smiled. “ I know they’ll bring you back to me if I leave the house. I wonder who it was that kidnaped you, I’ll find out someday” Vanessa sighed, she looked at Mara and and smiled. “ My baby”

Alfred had searched everywhere that day but couldn’t find Vanessa, he blamed himself for Everything that had happened. He wished he could turn back the hands of time and correct Everything but it was too late. He sat on his bed thinking of what next to do when his phone started ringing. He thought it was Vanessa but his heart made a skip when he saw the caller.
“ He….” He was interrupted from the other end. “ Alfred, Are you out of your mind? You kept a girl in your house, a girl I’ve not even Approve of? How are you Yelled at Mandy because of her!” Grandma Scolded him on the phone. “ I’m sorry Grandma, I….” She cut him off again. “ Mandy told me the girl has already left your house so, Stay away from her unless you want me to deal with her” Grandma warned. “ But Grandma, I love her” Alfred said “ What!! You love her? Then Wait for what I’ll do to that girl if you don’t leave her alone” She Ended the call after giving him that last warning.
“ Oh no, she told her” He dropped the phone and held his aching head. “ Mandy why” Alfred stood up from the bed when he heard footsteps passing by his room. He opened the door quickly and saw Mandy about to enter her room. “ Mandy!” He called and she turned back. “ What?” She asked arrogantly. “ You told Grandma” He said and she nodded her head. “ yes I told her, you won’t stop accusing me because of her and so, I told her everything” Alfred was angry, he wanted to hit her but he would get in to trouble with his Grandma if he do that.
“ Stay away from her like grandma said or regret it later. Anyways, You are now mine and I’m yours” She bit her lower lip and entered her room. Alfred returned back to his room, he picked up his car keys and left the house. He called Vanessa but her phone was switched off. “ What should I do now, I’m sorry Vanessa” Tears escaped from his eyes, He parked the car on the street and cried his heart out.
“ What should I do now. I love Vanessa, I want to see Mara.. Why wouldn’t Grandma allow me to marry who I want? Just why?” He cried. Alfred didn’t go home that night, he Lodged a room in the hotel and slept there. But all through the night, he was crying and felt sorry for Vanessa.
Next morning, Alfred got a call from the CBI. He had totally forgotten about the task he gave them because of Mara’s case. He Quickly took his bath and went to the headquarters. He waited in the reception for hours waiting for the man that called him to call him in his office. Different thoughts ran through his mind, he wondered who it could be that killed his parents, he wondered where Vanessa’s parents also were.
An hour later, he was ushered in to the office. He sat on a chair after exchanging greetings with the Man.
“ We found out about the parents of the lady you asked us to find” The man said bringing out a file from the drawer. “ What about my parents death?” He asked him and he shook his head. “ We also found out too” He handed over the papers to Alfred.
