Chapter 55: Chapter 55
“ Mandy” He said u der his breath. Mandy didn’t come out of her room when everyone was looking for Mara. She heard their voices but she was so tired from staying out late the previous night.
“ Where is Mara” Alfred asked in anger immediately he barged in to her room. “ Why are you asking me that question?” She asked him sitting upright. “ Where did you take her?” He yelled at her and Mandy Chuckled. “ Hey, stop yelling at me. I don’t know what you are talking about” She rolled her eyes. “ And you should have knocked on my door and not barged in like that. I don’t like it” Alfred was getting more and more Angrier, he moved closer to the bed and grabbed her ear. “ Tell me where my daughter is or I’ll get you arrested” He threatened her.
“ Did Vanessa told you to come threatened me? I don’t know where Mara is” She said in pains. “ Do not accuse Vanessa of what she doesn’t know, tell me where Mara is and I’ll pretend this never happened” He said calmly. “ or what? What would you do?” Mandy asked him “ I’ll Make you regret this” He warned. “ I’m not scared of you or whatever you are going to do, do your worse!!” She shouted at him and pushed his hand away from her ear.
“ Bring out Mara” Alfred said but Mandy stood up from the bed and entered the bathroom. She locked the door inside so that he won’t follow her in. “ Mandy” Alfred called but she ignored him. “ What did Mara do to her?” Alfred left the room in anger. He stood in front of Maras room listening to Vanessa who was crying as if her heart was going to explode “ What should I do now, how would I make Mandy bring out Mara? Vanessa must not find out Mandy was the one that took Mara” He supported his head on the wall thinking of what to do.
He entered the room and found Vanessa crying on Mara’s bed, she was holding Mara’s favorite teddy bear to her chest as she cried.
“ Vanessa” He called and his phone started ringing, he answered the phone and looked at Vanessa. “ The call is from the station, they have already arrested the Security man” Vanessa sat upright. “ What did he said? Did he said he saw someone taking her out?” She asked cleaning the tears on her face. “ I don’t know, but I’ll go there now” He turned to leave and she stopped him. “ I’ll go with you” She said standing up from the bed. “ No Vanessa, you should stay home” He said. “ She’s my daughter” She said to Alfred and left the room.
Alfred and Vanessa arrived the the station, the Security man was already put behind bars and was waiting for Alfred to show up. Immediately he saw Alfred, he stood upright and started begging him.
“ I swear I don’t know anything about this, the only person that Entered the house was Your cousin. I don’t know where Mara is and I don’t know who took her” He said in tears. “ Speak the truth or you will remain here for the rest of your life” Alfred threatened. “ Please, Tell me where Mara is or the person that took her, I promise to give you whatever you want” Vanessa sobbed. “ I don’t know where she is, I’m saying the truth” Alfred sighed, he looked at the DPO and he understood his message.
“ let’s go” He said to Vanessa. “ Where? He Haven’t tell us where Mara is” She said and he sighed. “ Let’s Go home, he will confess” Vanessa refused to follow him put of the station and so, he had no choice than to dragged her out of the station.. “ Please allow me to talk to him, he know where my Mara is” she cried but Alfred didn’t Release her hand. He put her inside the car and locked the doors. Vanessa tried to go out but the car was locked. Alfred Started the car and drive them out of the station. They went home, Mandy was eating on the dining table when they arrives home, she looked at them and smiled in a mischievous way then continued eating.
Alfred saw her smiled, He took Vanessa to her room and returned back to the sitting room. He Grabbed Mandy’s wrist and took her to the garden.
“ Mandy, Mara is my daughter and part of this family. Please tell me what you want from me and I’ll do it, Release Mara. She’s just a little kid who knows nothing. Look at Vanessa, She’s in pain. You will also be in pain if your daughter went missing, please give her to me and I’ll do whatever you want” He promised. Mandy smiled , she looked at him and Chuckled. “ I don’t care whatever pain she is in to and I don’t pity her. She can cry from today to a year I don’t care but…. Thank you for the offer but Mara isn’t with me and don’t come after me again to ask me about her” she warned sternly and went back inside the house.
“ What is this girl trying to do? I saw her coming out from Mara’s room yesterday night. Oh God, I should have open that door yesterday, I would have known if it is Mandy that took her or not” Alfred Entered the sitting room, he saw Mona coming out of the kitchen and he beckoned on her to follow him. He took her to the Garden, Mona was so scared, he saw fears written all over her face. “ Where did Mandy kept Mara?” He Asked but Mona couldn’t say anything..” I’m talking to you” He commanded. “ I… I don’t know anything about this” Mona said in tears. “ Calm down Mona, tell me all you know and I promise to give you a huge some of money to take care of yourself” Alfred said. Mona lifted up her head, she opened her mouth to talk but Mandy interrupted them.
