“ What is all this, what is she doing here!” Alfred sat on the sofa with his hands on his head. “ What brought her back? I’m not even in love with her again” Alfred sighed, he didn’t even knew what to do when she hugged him in front of Vanessa. “ I would have stopped her, I would have pushed her away” He heard Mara’s voice from the room and he stood up. He went up the stairs and stretched his hand to knock the door but paused when he heard Vanessa’s voice.
“ It’s okay baby, don’t cry. There’s nothing we can do about it, she’s your Daddy’s girlfriend” There was sadness in her voice when she spoke, Alfred felt so bad. He knocked on the door and Vanessa Opened it but didn’t give him the way to enter the room. “ What do you want?” She asked him and he sighed. “ I’m Sorry Vanessa, I didn’t know….” She interrupted him “ I’m not interested” She said and was about closing the door again when he grabbed her hand.. “ Release my hand” She said but he held on to it tightly.
“ Listen to me, please” He pleaded “ I said am not interested. Go and meet your girlfriend and warn her not to ever call my daughter an Animal again!” Vanessa said in Anger. “ I’m sorry for that, I had no idea she was in town. Please allow me to see Mara” He pleaded. “ I don’t want to see you” Mara shouted in tears. “ See? She don’t want to see you. Please go” Vanessa closed the door in his face and locked it. She went back to Mara and hugged her. “ It’s okay baby, don’t cry” Vanessa patted Herr back.
“ What have I done” Alfred leaned on the door. “ I’m going to warn her” He dashed inside his room, picked up his phone and left the house. His Assistant was outside speaking on the phone and he yelled his name. “ Give me the car keys” He said and he disconnected the call. “ Boss, I can….” Alfred interrupted him. “ I said you should give me the car keys” He commanded. The Assistant gave the key to him and Alfred drove out of the house With speed.
“ Wow! The Boss is Angry today. I know That girl would cause trouble for him. I just wish Kiara can get rid of this Vanessa and her Daughter” He dialed the number and continued talking on the phone.
Alfred drove straight to Kiara’s house, The security man and the guards didn’t stop him from entering because they all knew him. He Entered the sitting room and found her Speaking on phone. Kiara smiled, she ended the call and moved closer to him.
“ I know you will come for me. Please have a sit” She offered him a seat but Alfred was too mad for that. “ What do you think you did back there?” He questioned her. “ I did nothing and besides, You Should stop keeping maids with kids in your house” She said with a smirk. “ Maid? Vanessa isn’t a maid” Ye snapped at her and Kiara Chuckled. “ What do you mean by that? Is she a relative that I don’t know about? “ she asked him. “ No, She’s the girl I want to marry” He said and Kiara froze.
“ The girl you want to marry?” She asked confusingly. “ Yes, stay away from her” Alfred warned. “ Are you kidding me? You want to marry that local ****?” He grabbed her wrist in Anger. “ Do not call her that name!” He warned her again. “ Why? Is she more precious to you than me?” Kiara asked surprisingly. “ yes” Alfred said and she Moved away from him. “ You love me” She pointed to her chest. “ I once loved you but everything has changed. Now listen carefully, I don’t want to see you anywhere close to my house ever again!” He Said and Kiara Chuckled.
“ Is it because of the local **** or the little Animal?” Kiara asked and Alfred landed a slap on her face. “ Next time you call them those names again, I’ll make sure I remove your eye” He Said and walked away. “ What! You dare slapped me because of her? Oh God, I’ll teach her a lesson!” She yelled after him.
Alfred sat in the car, his head was on the steering wheel. He felt bad for slapping Kiara whom he once loved but he had no choice. His only concern was Vanessa and Mara, He knew Vanessa was finding a way to run away from him and now that Kiara was back, Mara would definitely want to leave too.
“ What should I do?” He pondered. His phone started ringing, he picked up the phone and his heart skipped when he saw the caller. “ Hello” He said after answering the call. “ Hi Alfred, are you at home?” Mandy asked from the other end. “ No, why?” he asked. “ I want to visit you and spend the weekend with you” She said. “ I’m not in town and besides, when did you come back?” He asked her trying to keep the conversation short. “ I returned yesterday. When will you be back? I’ll g wait for you in your house” She said. “ No you don’t have to” He said. “ why?’” Mandy asked. “ Because there’s no one in the house. The house is locked” Alfred lied. “ Weird. okay then, Call me when you return” She ended the call after blowing him a kiss on the phone.
Alfred Shook his head, his life would have turned upside down if Mandy go to his house that day and see Vanessa and Mara. Mandy was his cousin who was in love with him since she was little, she was the worst among their family and cruel. Everyone said she took after the grandma.
