“ I’ll have to warn everyone in the house not to ever let anyone in without my permission” He started the car and Rove out of Kiara’s house. Alfred was on his way to the house when another call came in, it was his grandma. “ What again?” He wanted to answer the call but ignored it. “ She might also want to come to the house. What should I do now” He put his phone on silent and continued driving. When he reached home, Vanessa and Mara where not in the sitting room as usual. Mara would have run to him and welcome him if only Kiara hadn’t came to the house that day.

He went straight to his room and lay on the bed. The day was already so hectic for him since in the morning. He wanted to rest but Kiara had spoiled Everything for him. He wondered why she chose that moment to come back in to his life When his Grandma had already separated them.

It was already 9:30pm and Alfred closed his eyes to catch some sleep but even the sleep was Angry with him. He stayed awake all through the night thinking of what to do in the morning. And as fate would have it, He fell asleep by 2am.

Next morning, Alfred woke up with a slight headache. He picked up his phone to check the time but the missed calls he saw shocked him. He entered the phone log and saw more than one hundred missed calls from his family members.

“ What Happened?” he sat upright He dialed his grandma’s number and her maid answered the phone. “ Where’s Grandma?” Alfred asked. “ We’ve been trying to reach you since yesterday but you aren’t picking the call” The maid said in tears. “ What Happened, here’s Grandma?” Alfred asked looking so terrified. “ Grandma is in the hospital” She said and he sprang up from the bed. “ I’m on my way right now” He cut the call and Hurried inside the bathroom, he took his bath, brushed his teeth and left the room. He knocked on Vanessa’s door but got no response and so he left hurriedly.

The car keys were still with him and so, he left the house without his Assistant. Alfred Entered the hospital with speed, his Uncles Were Coming out from the room and he ran to them. They weren’t looking so Good and that made his heart skipped a beat.

“ Where’s Grandma?” He asked them and the eldest sighed. “ What were you doing that you didn’t answer our calls?” The youngest asked. “ I’m sorry, please where’s Grandma?” He repeated. “ She’s in the room” He pointed to the room they came out from and Alfred ran inside. His Grandma was lying on the bed, She was on oxygen. “ Grandma” he held her hand and she opened her eyes slowly, She looked at him and smile. “ What Happened to her?” He asked the maid who was sobbing in a corner.

“ She fell down” She said. “ How?” He asked her. “ She was cooking and.. and she Fell down” The maid said sobbing. “ Where were you? What were you doing to allow her enter the kitchen?” He asked sternly. “ I’m sorry, she said I don’t know how to cook and she send me to go get something from the woman next door. I came back and met her on the floor” She sobbed. Alfred sighed, he looked at his grandma and sighed. “ You are so stubborn , Grandma” He was still in the room when Mandy came in.

“ Hey you are here” She said excitedly after seeing Alfred. Alfred turned around, he stood upright and smiled. “ Yes” He said. “ You took the late night flight?” She asked him and he nodded his head. “ Then that means we’ll go home together” She said happily. “ I won’t be staying in the house, I already booked a room in the hotel” He lied. “ No problem, I’ll take the maids to go clean your house today. I missed you so much” She wanted to hug him but he moved back. “ You came to see Grandma Right?” He asked her. “ Oh yes, I totally forgot about it after seeing your handsome face”

“ Oh My lovely Grandma, please don’t leave us now” Mandy said Worriedly. Alfred shook his head and left the room. His Uncles were still in the reception and he went to them, he sat on a chair beside them and they turned to him.

“ Mother will be fine” They said and he nodded his head. He always felt so emotional Every time he saw his Uncles together, His Dad would have been among them if only he hadn’t died. “ You’re thinking about your Dad right?” The youngest asked him and he smiled. “ Take heart, we also missed out brother a lot” Alfred Nodded his head and smiled. “ It’s okay”

“ So about the girl you want to marry” They changed the Topic. “ We’ll be coming to see her soon” One of them said. “ Okay” Alfred said, he doesn’t know if that was a good idea because Vanessa was mad at him but he can’t stop his uncles.

“ Hi uncles, Hi Daddy” Mandy said waving her hands as she walked up to them. “ Hi Baby” The eldest among them said smiling. He was Mandy’s daddy and he loved her so much, he knew of her crush to Alfred. “ Hi Alfred, You are here” She said sitting closer to him. “ So, what do you think about what I said earlier?” She asked him. “ I already told you, I’ll be returning back today” He lied to her. His uncles exchanged glances, they knew he was trying to break free from Mandy.

“ Oh that’s Bad, I wanted to spend the weekend with you. Wait a minute, are you thinking what I’m thinking?” She asked him excitedly and he nodded his head.
