yes I can, just give me thirty minutes and your food will be ready” Vanessa Hurried inside the kitchen and closed the door.

“ Good gracious” Alfred heard a sigh of relief, he finally got rid of her. “ She’s beautifully annoying” He Smiled and went to his room.

Bella and Mary stood beside each other watching Vanessa as she cooked on the Cooker. She was so busy doing her works that she didn’t knew Bella and Mary were still there. They were so surprised to see Vanessa in the kitchen, cooking for Alfred. As Vanessa turned to take a knife from the cabinet, she saw them.

“ Oh I didn’t know you guys are still here” She said Looking at them. “ Your name’s Bella right?” She asked Mary. “ No ma’am, it’s Mary and this is Bella” Mary said. “ Whoa! Sorry. Your names are beautiful” She smiled. “ Thanks ma’am” Mary and Bella said together. “ It’s nothing, My Mara always talks about you. Thanks for taking care of her” Vanessa thanked Bella. “ It’s Okay ma’am, it’s My Job” She said. “ Can we help you with anything?” Mary asked Vanessa who was looking for something.

“ oh yes, Give me a bulb of onion please” She said. “ And what else?” Bella asked. “ Some eggs” Bella went for the eggs while Mary went for the onions. As they helped her in the kitchen, Vanessa kept talking and talking to them. They couldn’t answer her for the first time but they started answering her because she was too kind and they liked her. “ So, your Boss Never married?” She asked them. “ No, but he once had a girlfriend” Mary said. Bella didn’t know about that because she started working in the house two years ago.

“ Why didn’t he marry her?” Vanessa asked Curiously. Bella also looked at Mary to hear what she would say next. “ It’s because Grandma didn’t approve of them” She said. “ Why?” Bella asked and Mary Chuckled. “ Mind your Business” She whispered to Bella. “ It Seems like you are also interested in it” Vanessa said and she turned to Mary. “ Please tell us” She pleaded. “ But aren’t you jealous?” Mary asked. “ Nope, I should know something about the man that I will marry in the future” she said.

“ Grandma didn’t approve because his ex girlfriend was a model” Mary said and Vanessa became confused while Bella was shocked. “ Just because she’s a model? Oh my God. What does her career have to do with the marriage” Vanessa shook her head, she wished the grandma had approved of the marriage. Alfred wouldn’t have entered their lives. “ Yes, I don’t know all her reasons but that’s what she said”

Vanessa sighed, She knew the Grandma won’t approve of her and Alfred too because she was a local chef. That made her happy, She would get to run away with her daughter and live a happy life. They finished making the dishes and helped her arranged them on the Dining Table. Vanessa Happily went up the stairs, she knocked on Alfred’s door Smiling.

“ Come in” He said and she went in without having another thought. Alfred had just came out from the bathroom, he was tying a towel on his waist. Vanessa froze, She stared at him as water drops from his hairs on his shoulder. “ Stop staring at me” He said snapping his fingers in her face. “ Hey, I’m not” She defended. “ Okay then, what brought you to my room?” Alfred asked combing his wet hairs. “ The food is ready and I know you will love it” She Said smiling. “ Alright, I’m Coming” He said and she left the room.

Few minutes later, Alfred came down. He was putting on a simple clothe. Vanessa sat on the chair waiting for him to come see the delicious foods she prepared. The aroma hit his taste bud before he could even sit down and he looked at her.

“ You made all these?” He pointed to the plates on the table. They were all covered but he could still perceive the aroma. “ Yes, have a sit” She said smiling. She started uncovering the foods when he was sited. There was a plate of fried eggs, stir fried Noodles, chicken wings, Boiled rice, beef steak, Barbecued fish, boiled eggs, Vanilla cake, cup cake and Popsicles.

“ Oh My God!” He exclaimed. “ You made all these under an hour? Wonderful!” He complemented. “ Mara was right, her mum is the best cook ever” Vanessa said smiling. “ Where’s Mara? She shouldn’t missed this” He said picking up a fork. “ She’s sleeping” Vanessa said. Alfred started eating, he started from the Noodles, then rice. He made sure he ate from all the plates.

“ You sure can keep a home, you are a wife material” He said and she nodded her head. “ I know, thanks for reminding me” Vanessa watched him as he ate like an Angry lion. She was so surprised to see a billionaire eating that way. “ You like it right?” She asked him when he was done eating. Alfred nodded his head as he wiped his lips with the napkin. “ Yes, Delicious. I’ll reward you for this” He said and get face lit up. She stood up from the chair, called Bella and Mary to the dining and they cleared the remaining foods.

Alfred Smiled, He went and sat on the sofa while Vanessa followed him holding a Cupcake. She sat on the sofa facing him and refused to stop staring at him even when he signaled her to stop.

“ Stop looking at me that way, do you want me to throw up?” He asked and she nodded get head. “ Of course not” She answered. “ Then stop it” He relaxed his head on the sofa and closed his eyes. Few minutes later, he opened them and Vanessa was still looking at him.
