“ Oh Come on Mara, I’m so happy. I just don’t know What to say” Mara Chuckled. “ Are you sure you are alright?” Mara asked her and she nodded her head. “ Yes dear, Am alright” She dropped the knife on the board and excused herself out of the kitchen because she knew Mara would keep asking her Questions.
“ This is so unlike her” Bella said and Mara agreed with her. “ Yep, Aunt Mary is always the Talkative” She said and they laughed. “ Maybe she’s going through something, but she have to tell me so that I can help her” Bella sighed. “ Maybe it’s something she don’t want anyone to know”

“ About the investigation, I’m giving you another task.” Alfred said on the phone. “ I want you to find the parents of someone, I’ll send you the details later. Make sure you don’t waste time on it, I need to know everything ASAP” He said and ended the call. He sent the details Vanessa gave to him to the investigators and sighed. “ Hope they find them” He dropped the phone on the bed and Entered the bathroom to take a shower before Dinner.
As promised, Alfred had given the task to the investigators investigating his Parents death. He didn’t want to waste time on it because he thought Vanessa might run away again. He wanted to Get married to her As Soon as possible so that they could leave as one family.
As The water poured on him in the shower, Alfred’s mind traveled to his uncles and he smiled. Those were the people that he would tell about his marriage because he was Afraid grandma might turn him down again like she did to him years back. He was so in love with that girl but Grandma didn’t like her. Alfred took his Bath, Came out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped on his waist.
He sat in front of the mirror and started drying his hairs with the hand dryer. Alfred was so happy, he wished they could just get married right away. He stood up from the stood, dressed in a blue Pajamas with lion images on them and made his way out of the room. He turned to the left where Vanessa’s room was and wanted to go call her but he shook it off.
Vanessa was already in the dining with Mara, they were waiting for Alfred to come down so that they could eat their Food. Vanessa was so Hungry, she wanted to start eating But Mara wouldn’t let her.
“ Allow me to eat, he won’t come out now” Vanessa said but Mara Giggled. “ Nope, You won’t eat anything here until Daddy comes down” Vanessa sighed, she put her head on the Table and held her Tummy. Just then, A Sweet scent filled the living room all the way to the dining area. She raised up her head and saw Alfred walking towards them with smiles plastered on his face. She couldn’t resist staring at him, he shun like a prince on a horse going to save his princess from a tower.
He sat down on a chair but Vanessa wouldn’t stop staring at him, She was smiling as she looked at him. Her ran down to his pajamas and she shook her head, holding her chest.
“ What’s This?” She asked him rolling her eyes. “ What?” He asked and she pointed to his pajamas. “ Oh you like it?” He asked her. “ Are you kidding me? I’m talking about the images on it. How can you wear something like this?” She asked with a smirk. “ Oh Sorry, I interrupted you right? Don’t worry, you can keep staring at me” Alfred said mockingly. “ You..” She picked up a plate to throw at him but put it down.
“ Mummy, Stop flirting with my Daddy. You said you are so hungry that you won’t wait for him but now he’s here and you’re…..” Vanessa shushed her and started eating. “ Eat slowly” Alfred said to her. “ I won’t” She snapped and he kept quiet. Alfred’s Happiness knew no bound, it felt as though he was already married to Vanessa. It felt so Good having dinner with Vanessa and his Child, he ate so we’ll that even the maids were so Surprised. Alfred wasn’t the type that eat a lot but that day, he ate a lot.
When they were done eating, Mara was taken to the room to sleep while Vanessa and Alfred stayed in the sitting room. Both of them sat on a different sofa with their eyes fixed on the television. The program been showed wasn’t interesting but they kept watching it, Vanessa wanted to say something to Alfred and Alfred too wanted to say something to her but the Atmosphere was so tensed. Vanessa knew he wouldn’t say a word even if she would Sleep their and so, she decided to break the silence.
“ What about my promise?” Vanessa asked and Alfred turned to her immediately as if he was waiting for her to speak. “ What promise?” He asked just to lengthen the conversation. Vanessa Scoffed, she threw one of the cookies on a plate beside her and crossed her legs. “ What do you mean what promise?” she asked him but Alfred pretended he didn’t know what she was talking about. “ I have no idea what you are talking about” He said. Vanessa dropped her legs, she stood up from the sofa and Chuckled. “ If that how you want to play it, then I’ll okay along” She said under her breath before turning to him.
“ Okay, I’ll go look for my parents by myself. Do not come looking for me” She said heading to the stairs. “ Where are you going?” Alfred asked her. “ To take my Daughter. Any problem with that?” she asked him. Like a flash of lightening, Alfred grabbed her wrist tightly, Vanessa was so surprised on how he managed to get to her within a second.
