“ How?” He asked and the Assistant shook his head. “ Go Tell her I’m not at Home, Tell her I’m in a meeting” He said and the Assistant left the room Hurriedly.
“ What does she want now, why is she here? Oh My God” He looked at Mara again and shook his head. “ I don’t want Grandma to see her now, she will freak out and spoil my plan” Alfred supported his head with his palm.

An old woman who was at the age of 70 was pacing around the sitting room impatiently when The Assistant returned. Bella and the other maid stood a little far away from them and the both of them looked so Tensed.
Whenever Grandma visited the house, none of them misbehaves because she was a Very strict Woman. She Always find fault in whatever they do and none of them dared to complain. Grandma stopped at a Glass table situated beside the large sofa and ran her fingers on it. She looked at the maids and showed them her fingers.
“ What is this?” She asked but none of them see anything. “ I’m talking to you! Isn’t this dust?” She asked and The maids exchanged glances. “ You stopped working because I don’t visit here frequently, right?” She asked sternly and they Nodded their heads.
“ No ma’am, we are so sorry” Bella apologized. “ Sorry for what? Didn’t I told you I’ll fire you both if I return to this house and find any mistake again?” She asked them and they fell on their knees.
“ Please forgive us , we will never do that again” They pleaded, rubbing their palms together. She hissed at them and Turned to the Assistant who was standing in a corner like someone been drenched in the rain.
“ And where’s Alfred?” She asked Sitting down on a sofa. The Assistant Hurriedly moved closer to her and bowed his head “ He.. he isn’t at Home” He stammered.
“ What do you mean he isn’t at home?” She looked at Bella and the maid who were kneeling on the floor. “ Didn’t you said he’s in his room?” She asked Bella and Bella looked at The Assistant. He signaled her and she swallowed before answering.
“ I’m sorry ma’am, I didn’t know he went out” She lied. “ And you?” She turned to the Assistant. “ Why are you at home when your Boss is outside? Where did he go?” She asked him. “ He Traveled out of the state this morning” The Assistant said.
“ out of the state? You guys traveled together, why are you here?” She asked again. “ Because he… he wanted to Travel alone this time. There are things he want me to take care of in the office” He lied. “ Oh okay, it’s a Good thing you are being useful” She stood up from the sofa and the Assistant Quickly carried her hand bag.
“ I’ll Get going, tell him to meet me at home when he returned and you….” She pointed to Bella and the maid. “ I’ll let you go this time but when next I visit and find this place like this, just know that you’re already fired from work” She warned.
“ Yes ma’am, thank you ma’am” They said happily. The Assistant escorted her out of the house and the maids released the breath they didn’t knew they were holding since Grandma Entered the house.
“ Oh my God! This old woman is trouble. I just pray she shouldn’t come stay here like she use to” Bella said and the maid shushed her. “ Shhh, what if she heard you?” She whispered. “ She won’t, let’s go” They held hands and hurried inside the kitchen.

Few Seconds later, The Assistant returned back to the room with a relief.
“ Where’s she?” Alfred asked before he could even close the door. “ She left already” He said and Alfred heaved a sigh of relief. “ Everything would have turned bad if Grandma saw Mara” The Assistant said and Alfred Nodded his head.
“ What did she said?” Alfred asked again. “ She said I should tell you she came” He answered. “ Alright, it’s a relief she already left”.
“ From Now till tomorrow, if any of my family members come asking for me just tell them I traveled out of the State” He said and the Assistant Nodded his head. “ Even Mandy?” He asked and Alfred Chuckled. “ Yes, Even Mandy” He said.
“ When should I take her back to her mum?” He asked Alfred, looking at Mara. “ And why would you take her back?” He asked the Assistant. “ Her mum will be so worried” The Assistant said and Alfred Raised a brow. “ I know” He said.
“ Are you going to keep her with you?” He asked and Quickly changed the topic when he saw the looks in Alfred’s face. “ Get out” Alfred Commanded and the Assistant Quickly turned to leave the room.
“ Hey” Alfred called back and he paused. “ Yes, sir.”
“ Go Back to the estate and find out what She’s up to” He said and the Assistant looked at Mara. “ You mean her mum?” He asked. “ No, her Nanny” Alfred answered him and he bowed his head a little. “ I’m sorry, I’ll go Tomorrow” The Assistant said.
“ No, go now” He said and the Assistant left the room Hurriedly. He nearly missed a step as he was coming down from the step because he was so lost in thought.
He wasn’t Happy that His Boss was showing too much Care to Mara and Now her mum because according to him, they aren’t worth his attention.
“ But they are not even up to the standard of girls that want to be with Boss, I’m Even ashamed that a low class like that woman is trying to win his heart. Oh , I’ll maw sure this never happens” He started the car and drove out of the Mansion.
