“ You this little……” Alfred interrupted him. “ Enough! Stop Bullying the little Kid” The Assistant jaw dropped, He never thought Alfred would shun him that way because of that little Devil.

“ You heard my Daddy, Stop bullying me” Mara added. The Assistant sat properly, he didn’t utter a word again because he was pained that Mara was beginning to enter in to their lives.

“ I don’t like this girl” He murmured under his breath.

Few Minutes later, they arrived at the Hospital. It was a very Big one, The Assistant Quickly came out of the car and opened the Door for Alfred.

Alfred Came out, he beckoned on him to carry Mara inside the Hospital. The Assistant wasn’t happy about carrying Mara

“ She can walk” He said in such a way that Alfred wouldn’t hear him. “ Just carry me” Mara commanded and he but his upper lip Angrily. “ I’ll only carry you because the Boss said that” He said Carrying her up.

“ Yes and you have no choice” Mara Smiled. As Soon as Alfred entered the Hospital, The Assistant outside and turned to Mara. “ As you can see, this is a very Big Hospital and There are different kind of people here. Do not… I repeat, Do not call him Daddy here” He warned her and she Scoffed.

“ Whatever the case maybe, he’s still my Daddy” Mara rolled her eyes and he Chuckled. “ I don’t care whatever he is to you, Do not call him Daddy here” He concluded and entered the hospital quickly.

Alfred led them to the Doctor’s office, The Doctor was already waiting for them and without hesitating he took them to his own personal Laboratory.

“ Hi Baby” He waved to Mara and she waved back. She looked around and then looked at Alfred. “ What are these things? What are we doing here?” She asked Alfred and he smiled. “ Don’t worry, everything will be fine” Alfred turned to his Assistant.

“ Go wait for us in the Reception, I’ll call you when we are done” He said and the Assistant went out after Sitting Mara on a chair.

The Doctor wore a glove, he inserted The Needle in a String and Mara became scared.

“ What his he doing with that? Tell him to drop it, Daddy” Mara said looking so terrified. Alfred moved closer to her and held her hand. “ Don’t worry Baby, Daddy is here” He smiled and Mara nodded her head.

The Doctor took her sample while Alfred kept talking to her and Making her life, Mara didn’t even know hen the sample was taken because she felt no pain.

“ The Result will be ready by tomorrow, I’ll bring it over to the house” The Doctor said removing the Gloves in his hand. “ Alright, I’ll be expecting you. Don’t forget our promise” He said to the Doctor and he smiled. “ Of course I won’t, it’s a secret”

He carried Mara and the Doctor walked them out of the laboratory. The Assistant who was waiting for them in the reception quickly stood on his feet and ran to them when he saw them.

Alfred handed over Mara to him and followed the Doctor to his office.

“ What Happened in there?” The Assistant asked Mara. “ Nothing” Mara said and he Smiled. “ I’ll buy you a candy if you tell me” He tried to bribe her but Mara was too smart for that.

“ Never mind, Daddy will buy me Candies” She said Smiling. “ What da!” He exclaimed. He had never seen a kid so smart like Mara, even Amy wasn’t as smart as Mara was. Amy would have told him Everything if he offered her candy.

Mara sat down on a chair in the reception while The Assistant continued with his thoughts.

“ What Really happened in there? Why did the Boss meet with a Doctor? Something isn’t right , I just hope it’s nothing relating to this girl over here” He looked at Mara who was looking at him and he Puffed.

“ Stop glaring at me” He said and Mara looked away. “ This girl is... But what is he discussing with the Doctor?” He looked at the Doctor’s office and shook his head.

Few minutes later, Alfred came out of the office and they left the hospital. All through the day, Alfred was only waiting for the result. His mind wasn’t at rest, He wanted to see the result to be sure of his curiosity.

“ Daddy, When will Mummy come?” Mara asked Alfred who was so lost in thought. “ Daddy” She tapped in on the ark and he looked at her. “ What is it, Baby?” He asked with a smile on his face.

“ When will mum come here? I missed her so much” Mara said and Alfred Smiled. “ Don’t worry, Mummy will come tomorrow” He said to her and Mara became happy.

Alfred had already thought about that, he would bring Mara over if The result comes out positive because there are questions she need to answer but if it turns out Negative, he would return Mara back to her.

“ Mummy will be so happy to live here, she won’t have to overwork herself again go buy Things for me. Daddy will take care of everything” She Said excitedly. “ What a smart kid” Alfred said.

Mara fell asleep beside him After finishing her ice cream, he stroked her hairs Gently as she slept comfortably on the sofa. Her head was on his Lap.

A knock Came on the door and his Assistant walked inside the room.

“ What?” Alfred asked and the Assistant looked at Mara who was sleeping. “ There’s a problem” He said worriedly.

“ What problem?” He asked and the Assistant looked at Mara again. “ Spit it out” He commanded. “ She’s Here” He said and Alfred wondered who he meant was there.

“ Who?” He asked and The Assistant Swallowed hard. “ Your Grandma is here” Alfred’s eyes opened so wide as if they would pop out.
