Kyle's POV;

I put my key in the ignition and started it,determined to go to Alexis.

She told me to give her space.

Well fuck it,i have her space yesterday.

I drove to Alexis' house and knocked on the wooden door and sighed waiting for a response.

I knocked again and stood there. I was about to knock again but the door opened slightly and there she stood.

"Kyle.." Her green eyes glimmered and i observed her face. She had bags under her eyes and a pale looking face.

She looked like she had been crying. I just stood there. Powerless. Unable to create words. I had never seen her so...so..sad.

Was this because of me and my mistakes?

"Why are you here?" She whispered calmly. "I wanted to talk to you." I managed to say.

"Go awa..."

"Alex...who's at the doo..." Her sister interrupted and glared at me when she saw me.

"Get out!" She yelled at me,she also had bags under her eyes too. I looked at  Alexis and she just stared. "Go kyle. I don't want to talk to you." She said slowly and her sister closed the door.

She told me to leave again. Fuck this.

I got home and was greeted by my mom who was pacing back and forth. " What happened?" I look at her holding my jacket in my hand.

"Your dad is going out of the country for awhile and he wants us to have dinner before he leaves" she explained to me.

"Dinner? What the hell mom it's 4pm" i argued and she just shot me a glare.

"Language!"

"Sorry"

"Let's just go to the dining table" she took my hand and led me there.

We reached there and saw Emily and dad sitting and talking. I pulled out a chair for my mom to sit and then i pulled one out for myself.

It wasn't long before they started serving and we started eating. It was awkward and everywhere was silent. My dad cleared his throat to break the silence.

"I will be going to France for some work" he broke the silence as he cut his steak.

"Oh daddy,I'd love to go with you" Emily stared at him. "You have school Emily,focus on that. We can all go to France when you both are on holidays." He told her and she looked back at her plate.

"Buy me stuffs then!" She beamed so excited, and he nodded his head.

I ate my food silently observing the drama happening in front of me. Emily's relationship with our father was something i envied.

They were always in sync. He was always trying to please her. But me!?

He didn't care about me,he just wants to impose his will on me.

"I should be off now,my flight will take off in the next thirty minutes. I should get there on time" my father said standing up.

My mother moved closer to him and smiled at him. While Emily hugged him and he kissed her on her forehead. I jusy stood there.

"Kyle." He came to me and patted me on my shoulders and i turned my gaze to his hand. "Take care of the family while I'm gone" he smiled and i returned his smile back to him.

He made his way to the front door with Emily hovering around him. I just went up to my room to take a shower and sleep.

Spending my days and nights at the bar had become a regular thing for me to do everyday. I'd return home late at night and wake up late everyday. It has been two and a half weeks since my father travelled,thus giving me the freedom to do what i want.

Also two and a half weeks that i set my foot at Greenfield High and since i saw Alexis.

I needed time away from Greenfield and as karma would have it,my dad left town.

Brian has been trying to get me and Ashton to start talking again. Ashton was adamant and i won't let go off my ego.

After having breakfast Emily got ready to leave for school and all my mom did was raise her eyebrows at me and i left the kitchen.

For the past two weeks my mom has not been here usual self. She's always on the magazine not caring what her children are up to. I highly doubt my mom even realized that I've been staying away from school.

"Kyle. It has been two weeks since you stopped going to school!" Emily started.

"You don't talk to Brian or Ashton anymore. Neither do you talk to that girl you 'liked'. What is wrong kyle. Tell me!" She listed and gave me a blank expression.

I took a deep. Maybe now I'm ready to share my problems with her.

"I kept sleeping with Alexis' best friend even though we were dating,but i decided to stop and we did but her best friend turned out to be Ashton's girlfriend too. They both found out and both didn't want to talk to me afterwards. I'm bad for them,so I've decided to stay away" i explained while she stared blankly at me.

"Wow. Why did you keep sleeping with her best friend? Didn't you really like your girlfriend-"

"Alexis" i corrected.

"Yes. Didn't you like Alexis enough?" She asked expression slowly faded into a frown.

"I did! But her best friend was just so good and Alexis wasn't up for those kind of things"

"Did you both talk about doing it?"

"No."

"Why did you draw your conclusion like that. Did you apologize though?"

"What! No! Yes! Well i tried to but they both shut me out"

"Did you try after that?"

"No..."

It finally hit me. My ego didn't let me think about getting their forgiveness. I just hoped the more i stay away the more their anger will vanish.

"Go and apologize. Ashton has been your best friend since childhood,he wouldn't be able to not forgive you"

"And Alexis?"

"Go to school and make grand gesture to ask for her forgiveness"

"Thank you Em" i kiss her forehead and she leaves.

I dial Brian's number and send him a text; Where are you guys at?

I got a response almost immediately;

We didn't go to school today, we're at McDonald's the one close to my house

I grab a jacket and make my way to my garage and take a car and drive to McDonald's. I entered the diner and scanned until i saw Ash and Brian sitting down at the extreme.

I walk over to their table and pulled out the empty seat in the middle of both of them.

Both their eyes fall on me and i only stared at Ashton trying to read his expression.

"You didn't tell me you were gonna come though" Brian said directed at me.

"Shut up Brian. You should have guessed it"

Ash continued eating his fries and staring at his phone.

"Look Ash whatever happened with Jasmine. It was before i knew you were together. We stopped seeing each other af-"

"Yes, i know. Jasmine explained it to me. You don't have to bother explaining" Ashton forced a smile.

"I want to still apologize. It means alot that you really did forgive me. I know things won't exactly be the same. But still" i smirked and Ashton let out a light chuckle.

"So how has school been like?" I asked taking a big bite out of Brian's burger. "Hey!" He protested.

"Everything is pretty much same,Christina is still bitching,We're still the kings if Greenfield and oh Alexis has been absent awhile"   Ashton turned his attention to me.

"Why has she been absent?" I asked concerned.

"Didn't you hear? Her mom passed away."

Now you know why I've been on Kyle's POV for awhile now.
