Kyle's POV;

Did I just hear him right?

Did he just say her mom died?!

"Are you being serious?" I asked with a faded smile.

"Yes. They had her wake last week and the funeral, I guess is on Saturday? I'm really not sure." Ashton explained and so many things began running through my mind.

"I need to see Alexis. Right now." I muttered under my breath and made my way to my car parked outside.

I can't begin to imagine how she must be feeling.

I drove to her house and knocked at the door and waited for a response but nothing.

"Alexis open the freaking door or I will break it down!" I yell into the house while my knocking intensified. "Ale-" I wanted to call but someone cut me off.

"Who are you?" A middle aged man with a belly asked me. "I'm looking for Alexis Coleman. Is she in?" I asked.

"Alexis?"

"Alexandra"

"Alexandra..Alexis...oh the green eyes girl that stays with her sister and mother. Sad what happened to her mom." He looked down at his shoes, shaking his head.

"Yes..her..where are they?" I ask again walking towards him.

"They don't live here anymore. They couldn't pay for the month. So I sent them packing." The man stuttered and my fists got clenched.

"You threw out two helpless girls?!" I raised my voice taking him by the collars.

"It's a matter of money. I felt bad for them but I couldn't incur a loss." He avoided my eyes looking at my hands on his collar.

"Because of you they could both may be sleeping on the streets and you only care

about money!" I say through a gritted teeth tightening my grip on his collar.

"They aren't on the streets, they went to leave with their aunt in another city!" He said to relief him of guilt and my grip loosened.

"Where does this aunt live?"

"I don't know."

"This was a waste of time" I let go off his collar.

I walk to my car and come out with a paper that had my phone number and handed it over to the man.

"Call this number. If you hear anything about them." I told him and he took the piece of paper and studied the numbers and he leaves.

I got into my car to process everything I've heard in the last twenty four hours.

Alexis' mom is gone.

She probably doesn't live in this city anymore.

Doesn't attend Greenfield anymore.

Probably not the right order but my head is a mess right now.

Staring at my steering wheel, I remember her smiling face when we went out for ice cream.

Damn, I really took her for granted huh?

I continuously hit the steering wheel in anger. This is all my fault. Alexis was doing great before I stepped into her life.

I need to find her.

Tatiana.

Tatiana must know where her aunt's house is. I started my car and drove to the cafe Alexis family owned once upon a time.

I stepped out of the vehicle after parking and enter the now busy café. I look over to the counter and see that she isn't here. She is always at the counter.

I scan through a bunch of people and don't recognize any to be her.

I walk over to a short brunette and tapped her on the shoulder.

"I'm looking for Tatiana. Where is she?" I asked and she turned to me. "She's on her break I guess? Ask the manager." She replied to me

"Where's the manager's office?" I enquire and she points to a door hidden beside the counter and the door read, 'Manager' I didn't think it'd be so obvious.

I walk over to the door and knocked softly on it.

What the heck! My father owns this shit! I shouldn't have to knock.

I burst the door open, "I'm looking for Tatia-" I wanted to say but the shock of what I saw stopped me.

It was Tatiana. Half dressed. Trying to cover up herself. And the manager. Without his shirt and without his pants.

Wow. If i see or hear any more surprises I will freaking get a heart attack.

I stood there in awe, trying to interpret what i just saw.

"Fix up yourselves." I said calmly and left the office and closed the door behind me.

I was in no mood for drama. I just wanted to find Alexis.

After a few minutes, Tatiana came out of the room. She totally cleaned off the smudged lipstick and was feeling embarrassed.

I don't have time for this.

"I need to find Alexis. I know you know that her mom recently passed away." I say and she nods her head.

"Do you know where her aunt stays? I need to find her." I look at her hoping for a positive response.

"No..." She hesitated.

She's lying!

"Are you sure?" I needed to confirm first before I resorted to other means to get the truth from her

She nodded her head again. "So you mean to tell me that after years of working with her family, they didn't mention a relative or something?" I rolled my eyes at her lack of lying abilities.

"They barely talk about their distant relative." She replied in a bored tone.

"Are you lying to me right now?"

"What! No!"

Okay that's it. You leave me no choice.

I grab her arm and pull her into the manager's office and tried to lock the door but I realized the lock was broken.

No wonder they didn't lock the door when they were getting freaky.

"What is this kyle! I told you everything that you wanted." She raised her voice at me.

"Tatiana Gomez." I say looking at her file and smirking.

"What are you doing!" The middle aged man questioned

"Shh..little manager" I place my index finger on my lips not bothering to turn my attention from the file in my grasp.

And he went silent.

"Now, Tatiana.." I smile closing the file. "You wouldn't want to lose your job here hm?" I look at her face and it goes pale.

She indicates no with her head

"Good.I could totally get you fired from this work and with my power make it difficult for anyone to hire you." I kept my smirk on my face.

"Tell. Me. Where. Alexis. Is. I know that you know where she and her sister moved to" and finally my smirk turns into a grin. And she just had a blank expression.

She looks like she's thinking about what choice to make.

"Tell me now or say goodbye to your job Miss Gomez!" I say with authority causing her to flinch.

"I can't lose my job here kyle please! I beg you!" She says with tears gathered in her eyes

"Tell me what i need to know and nobody loses nothing."

"I..don't..know.. where she is" She stuttered.

Liar!!

"Mr Peterson!" I call and the manager turns his attention to me.

"I don't think you want my father to know that you take advantage of the employees you have working with you" i raise my eyebrows and he begins to get scared.

"Tell your employee/lover to tell what i need to know or prepare to lose your job here"

"He's bluffing! He won't do that."

"Don't test my patience darling."

"Tell him what he wants to know!" He demanded.

He gave her a pleading look and she sighed.

"Fine. I'll tell you. But promise we both get to keep our jobs" She spoke out.

Thank goodness. I was about to lose hope.

I was tired of repeatimg the same thing over and over again.
