Tara's POV

I rushed into the mansion, and straight to my room. I was shivering in fear.

The thought of how dreadful Stone is made me so uncomfortable. I ran straight to the bathroom in my room, and washed my face roughly with the water running from the sink.

"Ma'am Tara? Would you like some sandwiches?" I heard Mia's voice from the room.

"Hell no, you @sshole" I yelled, banging my fist on the wall with fury and fear mixed together.

"Are you sure you're alright, Miss Tara? Is there something you want?" She continued asking.

"Why the f*** are you being a pest, Mia? Are you stupid, huh? I just told you I don't want anything. Don't you have brains?" I shouted coldly at her. Shortly, I heard the door close.

What the hell did you do Tara? What if Stone doesn't make it out alive? He'll have my entire existence wiped off by his good for nothing soldiers.

Mia walked out of the room with a gloomy look. She kept on mumbling within herself when she met my father heading towards the stairs.

"Hey, lass. Where is my daughter?" My dad asked with smoke emanating from his nostrils and mouth as a result of the tobacco he was smoking.

"She's in her room, my Lord. I don't know what the problem might be, but I think she's really down" Mia spoke with her head bowed.

"Down? What the heck is that word? Sh*t! Who dares to toy with my precious one?" Father growled angrily kicking the table at the corridor, and Mia flinched in fear.

Madison's POV

My vision was blurry, but I still figured out that it was Master Stone standing right in front of me. He looked wounded because his chest was bandaged.

"Ma…master" I stammered, and he fell on the ground all of a sudden. I gasped in shock jerking up from the bed. Fear gripped me, and I let out a deafening scream.

The door of the ward was opened, and master Xavier rushed into the room.

"Oh my God! Stone! What the f*** are you doing here? Shouldn't he be at his ward?" Master Xavier freaked out, and I kept breathing heavily.

The nurses rushed into the ward, and took Master Stone away with a wheelchair. He was still unconscious as they left. I covered my mouth with my right palm because my left arm was still hurting.

"Master Xavier, what just happened? What did Master Stone pass out? What's going on? Why am I here in the hospital?" I kept asking because I was confused. I couldn't even figure out who took me to the hospital.

"Calm down Madison. You shouldn't really stress yourself, your arm is still wounded. Make sure you don't stress it out to avoid it bleeding" Master Xavier patted my hair, and I gulped hard.

"What about… what about Master Stone? What happened to him? I thought I was with Tara in the bathroom, why am I in a hospital instead?" I pouted my mouth.

"Tara was going to shoot you, but Stone took the bullet for you. He was shot in the chest, and you can remember that Tara had drugged, and stabbed your arm, which is why you're here" Master Xavier explained, and I widened my eyes in shock.

"Master Stone took the bullet for me? Are you sure about this? There is no way he would do that for me" I shook my head in disbelief.

"What do you think is the reason why he's here then? I just pity Tara because Stone would never let her go scold free. He's definitely going to get back at her" Master Xavier bowed his head, and I exhaled deeply.

This is all my fault, it's because of me that everything is tearing apart. If I didn't go to the valley's third mansion, then there would be no way Stone would get shot, and Tara won't have any reason for thinking that I wanted to take her fiancé.

"I'm sorry Master Xavier. I know this is all my fault, I'm actually bad luck to all of you. I can't believe all these are happening because of my involvement" I sobbed silently, and he turned to me sharply.

"What are you talking about Madison? This has absolutely nothing to do with you. This is all Tara's fault, she shouldn't have started a fight because of her enviousness" Master Xavier snapped, and I shook my head in disagreement.

"She did what every woman who loves her relationship would do. I'm the nuisance here, and I should be the one to leave" I continued sobbing.

"I assure Madison, everything is going to be alright. Stone will be fine, and you won't have to feel guilty anymore" Master Xavier said, and I nodded my head.

"Can I go see Master Stone?" I asked, and he smiled approvingly.

I walked into the ward slowly with Master Xavier who held my hand. Even though I wasn't comfortable with it, I don't think I have a say.

"Oh my God! Is this Master Stone looking so vulnerable for the first time in his life?" I covered my mouth with my palms to prevent myself from crying. Wait a second, why the hell would I cry for him? Doesn't he deserve what happened to him?

"The doctor said he will be fine because the bullet had been extracted successfully. He just needs rest, so that he'll be fully recovered" Master Xavier said, and I exhaled deeply.

"I feel so sorry for him. Oh, no! Why am I bad luck to everyone? I feel so guilty" I cried out, and Master Xavier held me closer to himself, and hugged me tightly. I was really so down, so I hugged him back.

"You'll be fine" He kissed my forehead, and we turned to Stone, he was awake staring at us with so much hatred. He looked like he was going to rip Xavier's head off his neck.

I gasped, and released my hand from Xavier's grip in shock as he glared at me with jealousy written all over his face……
