Chapter 58: Chapter 58
They left for the old house that night. The house was nearby. It seemed like Damien's parents preferred to live with human beings unlike Damien and his pack who lived completely isolated from the outer world.
Damien, Viona and Celeb drove together without being notified by the other members who would be unnecessarily noisy. An hour later, the Celeb stopped the car in front of an old penthouse. The exterior looked so shabby which subconsciously defined that this house was left abandoned for ages.
A sadistic sigh escaped through Damien's parted lips. Memories from his childhood started to fly in his mind's sky. A long buried pain surged from the deep core of his heart. Looking at that old penthouse, he swallowed hard.
Viona gave her a comforting look. Perhaps she could understand how did he feel exactly. She had lost her mother in her early childhood. She couldn't even recognize her face except in pictures.
Damien unclasped his seatbelt and was ready to go down. Viona also started unstrapping her own belt and was intending to trail him off immediately. Damien paused shooting her a glare of disapproval,
" No.. Viona..You aren't coming with me.."
Viona glared back at him and muttured frowning hard at him,
" But Damien..we both agreed.."
Damien shook his head, refused the idea of taking her in and coaxed softly,
" Be good! I agreed to bring you here. But I didn't promise that I will take you inside. I will be fine on my own. I don't want you to go through another trauma, you heard me?"
Viona opend and closed her mouth uneasily like a fish. Since Damien wasn't willing to share his horrible past, she should just give him a personal space. She too hadn't revealed her secrets to him yet.
So what was the reason of stopping him?
Viona compelled and gave him an understanding nod. With a soft smile, she assured rubbing on his palm softly,
" All right! I will wait for you here. Remember to call me if you feel unwell."
Damien's lips pulled up into a smile and answered leaving a gentle peck on her lips,
" As you wish Luna."
He got off the car and signalled at Celeb silently. Celeb understood his meaning and locked all the cardoors consideringly. His parents death was still an unsolved mystery. Thus danger could lurk from anywhere and he didn't want Viona to face troubles anymore.
Viona's brows crooked questioningly when she found herself trapped inside the car. She spoke staring unblinkingly at the back of Damien,
" Celeb! Why did you lock the doors? How will we go out if Damien encounters any sudden attack?"
Celeb tried to pursue her wisely,
" Rest assured, Luna! Alpha isn't that weak. Besides you have now become the target of his enemies. He just wanted to feel secured while leaving you here."
As expected, wise judgment from Celeb. Viona was convinced after his words and didn't create any mascara over their decisions. She wasn't willing to create anymore troubles for Damien anyways.
*************
Damien stopped in front of the closed door. His hands started to shake invoulantarily as he reached for the door knob. The door slided open easily, welcomed his nostrils with a minty scent of dust. Staffs were sprawled all over the floor. Covering in dust, they were looking untouched. Basically police don't allow anyone to clean the place where a murder happened. Perhaps it was the reason that their old house looked so messy.
Damien coughed lightly and covered his nostrils. Pushing away the dust behind, he started to approach towards their living room. Pausing in front of the doorway, his breathing heavied a little. His instinctive mind drifted off at the moment when he discovered two dead bodies of his parents. Their bodies were ripped off so badly that it was hard to recognize their faces.
After a moment of inner battling with himself, Damien found the courage of entering into the room. Stepping in, he found himself back to the moment when he was a teenager. The room had still faint smells of his parents. He felt like he was so close to them but couldn't see or touch.
He tiptoed towards the exact spot in where he found their bodies lying together. His heart started to ache painfully but he ignored for the sake of his parents who deserved justice.
Drawing a deep breath, Damien crunched down on his one knee and stared hard at the spot. A deep frown appeared between his forehead when he saw the faint stains of blood.
Seems like this place didn't miss any of those memories!
Damien pulled out one of his palm from his pocket and bent down to touch the dusty floor. His chest puffed in extreme anger whenever he thought about punishing that monster who killed his parents.
Damien pressed his hand on the spot and connected his wolf power to revive those past memories. At first, he saw nothing and mind started to become restless.
Gritting his teeth together to control his own powers, he reconnected with his powers again and this time, a blurry vision started to appear on his sight.
A black hat woman intruded inside their house when his parents were watching a show together. Their faces were full of smiles and he could tell from the vision that they were enjoying each others company.
Damien started digging through the memories and paid attention on the woman's features. But no matter how much he tried, he couldn't get a clear vision of her face. Thus he began to take a note of her other noteable points.
She was short haired and was wearing a short fork. Except her hat, Damien saw a gun hanging on her shoulders archingly.
A Hunter?
Damien wondered and felt his stomach crunching in pain. The following moment, something more shocked him when he heard faint snarls from that vision. Later on, two fangs appeared out from her mouth that startled Damien in his memory.
He snapped open his eyes in shot enragingly. Never in his imagination, he expected that a Vampire actually killed his parents. Not only Vampire, the lady looked like a hunter too.
A growl escaped out from his throat angrily,
" Vampire! Hunter! "
But why couldn't he see her face clearly?
