Chapter 98: Chapter 98
Max's POV
I walked into the school's bathroom during the first period of school. I had to pee so early in the morning because I drank so much water during breakfast. After I entered the bathroom stall to do my business, I heard someone open the faucet of the sink.
I quickly finished up and opened the door of the stall to walk out when I saw Stephanie. She was with Poppy and Cindy, and she seemed different, but I wasn't sure why. She turned around and smirked when she saw me. "Max, just the person that I've been waiting for."
"And what would make you wait for me?" I asked as I placed my hands on my hips.
She walked slowly towards me in her five inch, white heels that matched her pink skirt and blouse. "You'll find out once I take you to Hades."
My brows furrowed as I felt confused, "Hades? How do you know him?"
She didn't reply, she only swiped her long fingernails at me as her eyes turned red and her canines grew into fangs. I dodged her fingernails by moving to the side as I realized that she was now a vampire. She hissed and glanced behind her at Cindy and Poppy. They immediately jumped to action and hissed at me too.
They ran forward with their fangs growing longer and eyes turning red. Stephanie looked back at me as she also lurched forward, and the three of them attacked me at the same time. Stephanie swiped her long fingernails at me, but I dodged low and Cindy threw a punch at my stomach, it hit me slightly as I went to move aside.
I felt angry at them for attacking me and my brown eyes turned dark as my fingernails grew longer and my short fangs grew with light fur dusting my face and body. I was in the half wolf and half human state as my wolf and I worked together to fight off these bimbos. Poppy threw a kick at my side, but I caught her foot and spun her around then threw her aside. She crashed into the stall doors and fell down.
Stephanie threw a punch at my face and I grabbed her wrist before it reached my face. I twisted her wrist until I felt the bone crack and she let out a shriek of pain. Cindy threw a back hand at me, but I bent my head down to dodge it while still holding Stephanie's now broken wrist.
Stephanie kicked out her leg, but her I raised my leg to kick her heeled one. She groaned and I kicked the side of her knee, making her scream. I released her wrist and kicked her. My heeled black boots hit her abdomen, making her double over while holding her tummy as she groaned.
"Ahhh!" I heard Cindy shout as she threw another punch at me.
I turned around just in time to duck and head butt her stomach hard into the wall behind her. She shrieked as her back and head hit the wall, and I moved back to see her slide down to the floor in pain. I was breathing heavily as my chest rose and fell fast.
Moving my gaze around the bathroom, I saw Poppy groaning as she tried to stand up from the ground while using the bathroom stall's door as support. I moved my gaze to Stephanie to see that she has already stood up and was cradling her wrist with her other hand.
"Let's go, girls! We'll come back for her later!" She yelled at the other two. She turned around and used her speed to run out of the bathroom without looking back to see if they were following her.
I glared at the bathroom's door then looked back at the other two to see them straighten up and run out of the bathroom using their speed too. My short fangs went back to normal canines and the fur disappeared from my body as my fingernails shortened to their original length. My breathing calmed down as my dark eyes returned to light brown.
My wolf had retreated, but I was still angry at them. So what? They met Hades and he turn them into vampires so now they were after me too? I wasn't gonna let them go easily. Stephanie was already on thin ice since age drugged Jake and I, and she better be careful or she wouldn't like what will happen next if she attacked me again.
I walked over to the sink and glanced at the mirror s I twisted open the faucet. Water gushed from the tap and onto my hands. I could see sweat on my forehead and my hair matted to it. I bent down closer to the sink and splashed some water on my face.
I straightened up and closed the faucet with my left hand as I ran my right hand through my hair. A sigh escaped my lips as I looked at my image in the mirror again. The door to the bathroom suddenly opened, and I turned my head to it to see Jake standing in the doorway.
He looked worried as he looked me over with panic in his eyes. He ran over to me and wrapped his arms around me, holding me tight.
"Baby, I've been so worried about you. It's second period already, but you still haven't come back from the bathroom." He murmured as he rested his head on mine.
"Yeah, Stephanie, Cindy and Poppy attacked me to take me to Hades since they're now his vampire minions." I murmured against his shoulder.
He pulled back, but kept his hands on my arms. His brows furrowed in even more worry as he looked me over. "Are you Okay? Are you hurt?"
"Yeah, I'm fine, Jake. Don't worry, I made a number on them." I replied with a small smile to reassure him.
His lips widened into a smile as he looked proud, "That's my Luna. Stronger than the enemy."
I let out a soft chuckle and glanced at the opened bathroom's door, "Yeah, but let's get out of here before someone sees you in the girl's bathroom."
He chuckled in his deep voice and nodded, "Okay, let's go."
He dropped his hands from my arms and moved back. We made our way out of the bathroom with him walking out first then me, and I pulled the door closed. As we walked through the empty hallways towards our class for second period, Maths, I glanced at him. He was already looking at me with a concerned look on his face.
