Chapter 96: Chapter 96
Jake pulled away and we both grinned, "Fine, let's go on those sick rides that we came for."
"Okay, babe." I replied as we started walking forward towards the roller coaster of doom.
"Sure, Alpha." Jane also replied as she, Shane, Sean and Abbey were walking beside us.
"Alpha?" Abbey asked with a confused look.
Sean glanced at her with a small smile touching his lips, "Yeah, I told you that Jake's our leader, so he's the Alpha just like in Twilight, but not exactly. Alphas have Alphas blood and are very strong, responsible and do what's the best for the pack members."
"Wow! It feels like I'm in a movie." Abbey said with a grin.
"Yep, it feels that way until you realize that things have changed for good." I said as we reached the roller coaster of doom.
I started towards the short line of two people, but Jake stopped me by tugging me back. I stopped and looked at him with both brows raised in a question.
"You've got a little something in your hair." He lifted his free hand and moved it to my hair to pull out something from it. As he moved his hand to in front of me, I saw a little bit of a dried up intestine.
It was small so it had to be an animal's organ, and not human unlike the heart that we saw inside the haunted house. My eyes widened in surprised and excitement as I took it from Jake's hand, "That's sick! I'm keeping it."
He grinned as he took it back from me and placed it inside his leather jacket. "Alright, I'll keep it for you."
"Awe! You two are so sweet." Abbey said, drawing our attention to her as she held a hand against her chest.
"More like cringey." Sean said with a chuckle.
"Just say that you're jealous that our relationship is cringier than yours." I teased with a smile spreading on my lips.
Jake, Jane and Shane laughed while Sean rolled his eyes, but then moved them back to my face, "Yeah, I'm definitely jealous."
What he said made me remember when he confessed his feelings for me during Stephanie's party and after I saw her pushing herself onto him. Jake must have known too even though he found us during the latter part of our conversation.
But we knew that Sean must be over it by now since he now has not only a girlfriend, but also a mate. However, that statement made me pause and think maybe he wasn't completely over me. I would rather not think about it, especially when he has a mate now and he was also Jake's closest friend after Shane.
"Alright, let's go. It's our turn." Shane said, drawing our gaze to the man in front of us that was helping people climb into the roller coaster.
I moved my eyes around the ride to see it clearly. The roller coaster of doom was very large, and red and blue in color. It had a design of red flames against the blue, and a small, scary clown head on each of the doors to its seats. The seats were sleek, black leather with straps that people would use.
We moved to the front of the line with Jake and I at the front. He glanced at me when we reached the man, "You first."
I let a small smile touch my lips, "Okay."
The man opened the door for me, and I climbed in. Jake climbed in after me and the man closed the door. We started putting on our seatbelts as Shane and Jane climbed the cart behind us then Sean and Abbey. I gripped the metal rod in front of us as the roller coaster started moving.
"Are you scared of heights, bad girl?" I heard Jake ask, and I turned my head to him to see a playful smile on his lips.
"What answer do you wanna hear, bad boy?" I retorted with a smirk on my lips.
He let out a soft chuckle, "The right one, baby doll."
I also let out a laugh, and the ride started moving faster, and going upwards. "Yes, a bit, but I love a mean challenge."
"Now, that's the bad girl that I know and love. But don't worry, I'll be here for whenever you can't take it."
My smirk turned into a smile, "And what are you going to do if I can't take it?"
"I'll hold you close so that you wouldn't have to see the scary heights.
"How sweet of you, babe."
"I can be even sweeter." He said with a wiggle of his brows.
I laughed at his playfulness, but suddenly stopped when I felt the roller coaster reach the top of the rail. In a second, we were going down, almost falling and in more speed than we had gone up. I didn't know when I started screaming and laughing at the same time. Turning my head to Jake, I saw that he was laughing along with me as he also gripped the metal rod in front of us.
The ride went through twists and turns before we finally reached the end of the it. The doors opened automatically and our belts unstrapped automatically too. Jake and I were laughing as we stood up from our seats and climbed down. As our feet touched the ground, our laughs subsided into grins and Jake glanced at me. "I guess that cured your fear of heights."
"Yes, definitely 'cause that was so much more fun than I expected." I replied, still grinning.
"Tell me about it." We heard Sean say, and we both turned around to see him, Abbey, Jane and Shane standing behind us after getting off the ride.
"Yeah, it's so fun that I want to go for seconds!" Abbey exclaimed, excitedly as she grinned.
"But we were about to go to the lover's tunnel or will you two come after us?" I asked looking between her and Sean.
"Uh…" She started then looked over at Sean.
He gave her a small smile, "What do you wanna do, babe?"
"I think that we should go to the tunnel of love with them then come back later for seconds on the roller coaster of doom?" She gave her answer in a very unsure way. She was way too insecure, no wonder Stephanie always pushed her around and made her do everything for her even though she was part of the mean girls.
"Sure, let's do that." Sean replied.
"Okay, now that it's settled let's go." Jane said with an excited grin on her face. She turned to Shane and gave him a suggestive look. Oh wow, they must be planning on doing some stuff in that tunnel. Let's hope that they stay safe while doing it.
