I ran to the window and looked down, but they were already gone. I looked down, sideways and everywhere, but no vampires were seen, only people in the amusement park walking about and having fun. "Shoot!"

I turned back around to the others to see Jake has changed back into his human form. His eyes were hazel again and his short fangs were gone. His gaze connected with mine and he ran up to me in his wolf speed. He was the only one among us that had activated his and that showed just how powerful he was.

He reached me and wrapped me up in a hug. I wrapped my arms around his waist, hugging him back. He pulled back and took my hand as he searched my eyes with his eyes full of worry, "You okay, baby doll?"

I drew in a light breath and let it out, "Yeah and you seem okay too. Not only that, you scared Hades away."Jake let out a deep chuckle, "Nah, it was actually a fair fight. He must have gotten tired since we've been fighting for a long time."

I let out a small laugh, "Look at you being so humble."

He grinned and I turned to the rest. Sebastian was standing a few feet from us with a frown on his face as he stared at the window that Hades and the vampires jumped out. Jane and Shane were also standing some away feet from us, but opposite him. They both had worried looks on their faces.

"Who were those people? Why did they attack you?" Jane asked as she looked between Jake and I.

Her question made Sebastian and Shane move their gaze to her. Jake let out a sigh, "That was Hades."

"And his vampire minions. They claim to kidnap me for my powers." I continued Jake's statement.

Jane and Shane still looked confused and Sebastian let out a breath as he explained further, "Hades is an old vampire that is very evil. He feeds on humans AND werewolf's blood, and seeks to turn them into his army of the undead."Understanding crossed their features and Shane said, "That sounds like a pretty evil dude."

"Yep, he is and very lewd too from the looks that he has been giving me." I added.

Jake turned his head to me as his brows furrowed slightly, "He wouldn't dare try anything on you."

"No, he won't with how protective you are of her." Sebastian said with a chuckle.

Jane, Shane and I joined in chuckling with him while Jake grinned as he studied my face. "Good, that was what I was aiming for."

I moved my eyes to him and our gaze connected, making me feel lost in his eyes as a smile spread on my lips. We were caught in the moment until we heard a throat clearing. We both turned to the sound to see that it was Shane.

He looked apologetic, but also expectant as he asked, "So what are we going to do about Abbey knowing?"

"Kill her?" I said as a joke, but with a straight face.

Shane looked terrified as he stared at me while Jane, Jake and even Sebastian laughed. I raised my free hand in a 'stop' gesture as I said, "Sheesh, calm down, I'm joking."

Shane looked visibly relieved and he cracked a smile as he tried to pass it off, "I knew that."

"Yeah, right." I said in a sarcastic, yet playful tone then said in a more serious tone, "We're just gonna have to tell Abbey everything."

Jake nodded in agreement as he said, "Yeah, you're right. She already saw the vamps and she's Sean's mate which means that he'll have to turn her into one of us."

"So she's going to eventually find out anyway." Jane added in a low voice with a frown on her face.

"It'll be nice to have another girl in the pack. Just us two is kinda lonely." I said, gesturing to Jane and myself.

"I know, right?" Jane said in support of my statement, the frown leaving her face.

"But you have me, how can you be lonely?" Jake asked with a pout on his pink.lips as he placed one hand over his heart.

I let out a chuckle as I watched his enticing lips, "Well, I mean in a girl friendship kinda way."

"As you all talk about your personal lives, I'll be on my way home to make another sandwich." Sebastian said with a small smile tugging at his lips as he watched us.

We all turned our attention to him and I said with a grimace, "Sorry for calling you and interrupting your snack."

"Oh, it's fine, Max. I'm glad to be of help to all of you and you were also completing part of your deal to help me defeat Hades."

"True. Anyway, thanks." I said as I gave him a grateful smile.

"Yeah, thanks for today, Sebastian." Jake added as he gave him a small smile.

Sebastian smiled back at us, "It's no problem, like I said it's part of our deal."

He then glanced at each of our faces as he said, "So I bid you good bye."

"Wait! Before you go… I want to know why you appeared when I called your name." I said as I looked at him with a curious look on my face.

His lips stretched into a grin as he replied, "You'll have to find that out on another day."

Before any of us could reply or react, he turned around and also used his vampire speed to run to the window. He immediately jumped out of it. Jake shook his head as he said, "Man, what's with vamps and jumping out of the window?"

"Yeah, it's like their thing or something." I replied with a laugh.

"We should go look for Sean and then continue our date or do you guys wanna go home?" Jane said with a look like she was almost pleading at Jake and I not to leave.

"No, of course not, but what do you think, baby doll?" Jake replied her then turned to me, "We can go home if you want."

I turned to him, shaking my head, "No way, we're not letting those bozos ruin our fun."

They all laughed, and Jake said, "That's my bad girl."
