Chapter 84: Chapter 84

"That's what I said." Mike added, and I sighed, "Fine, do as you wish, but I'm gonna tell you that you'll miss out on a big part of their life and regret not finding them sooner."

"Yes, Luna." Sean and Mike replied with amused smiles.

"So what do you guys think of doing a double date with us?" Jane said as her eyes darted between Jake and I. Alex and Mike started talking about the girls that they were going on a date with while Sean and Abbey started whispering between them.

I glanced at Jake and saw that he had turned his head to me with one brow raised. "What do you think, baby doll? Want to join our date with theirs?"

I lifted my index finger to my chin and tapped it as I thought about her suggestion. After a second or two, I replied, "Okay, let's do it. The double date sounds like it's going to be fun."

Jake's lips lifted up into a smile, "Okay then, we'll go on a third date after with just you and me."

"Sounds great." I replied as Shane smiled and Jane grinned, "It's going to be awesome with just us couples. We'll go to an amusement park or something where we'll go on rides, eat junk food and have fun."

I let out a laugh at her excitement and that made Jake chuckle as he watched me. I nodded my head, "Yep, we're going to have the time of our lives."

"Hello? What about us?" Sean said as he and Abbey stopped whispering to each other and turned to us. Abbey also looked at us expectantly.

I gasped as I said, "I forgot that you guys are a thing now. Sorry for excluding you, and we want you to come with us."

"Yeah, sorry, man. We can go as a triple date then. What do you say?" Jake said as he gave him an apologetic look.

"I forgot that you're not single anymore too. So let's all go together." Jane said with a grimace at herself.

Sean grinned, "That's fine, I understand you all, and think that it's a great idea. What about you, Abbey?"

He turned to her as we all did to hear her answer. She gave us a small smile as she nodded, "I think it's a great idea too."

"There's also something that we've been meaning to tell you." Jake started as he looked at our friends then trained his gaze on Abbey.

Realization passed over his face as he seemed to remember something else about Abbey. That made him turn to Sean, "But first, Sean, can you and Abbey excuse us? It has something to do with our 'pack'. We will fill you in later."

He placed emphasis on pack to make him understand that meant we couldn't have Abbey overhearing our discussion about our pack or werewolves yet. That should be after she became more comfortable with Sean and he told her what he we all were.

Abbey looked confused when she heard Jake use the word 'pack', but didn't say anything. Understanding passed over Sean's face as he understood what he meant. He stood up from his chair and took Abbey's hand, "Let's go out to the field while they discuss and I also have something to show you."

Abbey looked a little left out, but she gave him a small smile and stood up too. Well, she should understand that she just joined our table for lunch and not our gang or pack. She shouldn't expect us to let her in on any little secret. Especially not when it has to do with supernatural stuff.

"But remember that you're always welcome, Abbey." I added to make her fell better, and she moved her gaze to me.

As she realized that I was trying to comfort her, her smile widened and she replied, "Thanks, Max. You're really not what I expected, you, Jake or the rest of you."

I raised both brows in question, "Then what did you expect us to be?"

"I don't know, rude, uncaring, bad…" She grimaced as she realized what she said was rude, uncaring and bad. But who could blame her when she was only answering my question and saying what she really thought. "Sorry, I mean, I didn't expect any of you to be nice with how bad you show yourselves to be and then there's those tattoos."

Jake let out a deep chuckle, "Well, I'm glad that we're better than you expected."

I lifted my lips into a smile, "Me too."

"Me three." Mike and Sean said together with grins on their faces, and Alex nodded along with Jane while Shane said, "Us too."

"Great, and I better get going to let you all have your private convo." She replied and turned to Sean.

"Okay." I replied as the rest nodded, and Jane said, "See you later."

Abbey and Sean nodded in reply before they turned around and made their way out of the cafeteria still holding hands. Jake moved his gaze to me and his lips tugged into a small smile. Our gaze connected and my own lips widened into a smile. He took my left hand in his and intertwined our fingers.

He placed our joined hands on his lap and started rubbing circles on the back of my hand. His smile widened a bit as he stared into my eyes before he moved his gaze to our friends who were looking at him expectantly.

"So what I want to talk to you about is that an Alpha of a strong and old pack came to us. He came to us with an offer to join our pack with his while we maintain our position as leaders just as he and his Luna will."

"That means we will have two Alphas and two Lunas?" Shane asked as he looked between Jake and I.

"Yeah." Jake replied.

"How did you know this Alpha?" Mike said, looking curiously at us.

"He's the leader of the teleporting wolves that attacked us."

"What?!" Mike replied with widened eyes while Alex and Jane had a frown show on their faces.

Shane shook his head, "What if they try attacking you again or this is all a plot to get you to trust them just to gain something from you and back stab you after?"
