Chapter 85: Chapter 85

"That's why we're thinking about it first and we're also going over to their pack to see how it is and if we want to accept the offer or not." Jake replied as he tried to make Shane understand our plan.

"Okay." Shane replied as Mike said, "I want to come with you to see the pack."

"Yeah, me too." Jane added as she looked from Mike to Jake and I.

"Okay, who else wants to come with us?" I asked as I looked over at their faces.

Shane let out a sigh as he looked at Jane. He moved his gaze back to us as he said, "I'm coming to in case they try something on you guys."

Jake lifted one eyebrow at him as he looked amused, "Give them a chance, Shane. But even if they try attacking us, we have Max's gift on our side and they know that too."

"Yeah, that's true." Shane replied, looking a bit relaxed.

I glanced at Alex, "So you, Sean and Drake are the ones that won't be going, but I think Sean would want to come after he hears about it."

Alex nodded, "Yeah, I would rather sit this one out."

Jake nodded as he turned his gaze to me, "Sean would definitely want to go with us and see it as an adventure."

I let out a laugh since he was so right because Sean was so into the scene of going to new places and trying nee things. Jane, Mike and Alex nodded in agreement as they also chuckled, but Shane only smiled at the statement. He was the serious type and couldn't take a joke or two.

That's how we like him anyway because we needed someone to tell us to do the right sometimes. And other times, Jake and I had to be serious, especially as the leaders of our pack and gang. Not all the time, Jack plays, he also works.

I glanced at Jake and then the others as I said, "So do you guys think that Abbey has what it takes to be one of us, the bad news of the school?"

Jake lifted our joined hands from his lao to place them on the lunch table as he replied me, "Well, I know that once Sean tells her what we are, and she agrees, he'll change her into a werewolf and that would make her part of our pack and gang, of course. So the matter of if she has what it takes then I think that she already has it since she's dating one of us."

What he said made very good sense, and we all knew that he was right. My lips lifted up in a slight smile as I said, "Yes, I believe so too."

"But she drugged you two before, and that makes think that she's not that trustworthy." Jane said with a worried look on her brows, and Shane nodded in agreement to her argument.

Jake let out a breath as he replied her, "We know that she can't be trusted yet, and that's why we always need to be cautious around her and notice what we say when she's there."

"Yeah, and the fact that she finally stood up to Stephanie and left her side proves that she's willing to be better." I added as I picked up my burger with my free hand and bit into it.

Jane grinned as she nodded as Mike chuckled, "Yeah, we'll see how Stephanie will function without her now. After all, she does everything for her."

"Give her this week and she'll break down." Jake said as he glanced over at their table, and I did the same as well as everyone at our table.

She was talking with Liam and touching his bicep, flirtatiously like the slut that she was. He was grinning at her as he replied to her while his two friends talk amongst themselves. Poppy kept texting on her iPhone and Cindy chewed on her salad, holding the fork in her manicured hands with a bored look on her face.

We looked back to our table as I said, "And all her social hierarchy will come tumbling down along with her so called followers in this school and on Instagram."

"Losing her Instagram followers would be the end of the world for her." Jane added with a grin, and we all chuckled while nodding in agreement.

"Oh, how I would love to see that happen." We heard Abbey's voice say and we all turned around to see her standing beside Sean with large grins on their faces.

Later that evening, Jake and I were walking from my house to his after our friends left to go home. He had left his car at home and our bikes there too when we came back from school. We trekked to my house to meet the others, so we were now walking side by side.

I glanced at him, curiously, studying his dark top, jeans and signature leather jacket. I moved my gaze to his shortly cropped dark hair and tattoos peaking out from the collar of his shirt and the sleeves of his jacket. He moved his own gaze to me and captured my gaze as a smirk formed on his lips. "Enjoying the view, baby doll?"

My own lips tugged up in a smirk as I looked back to the path that we were walking on. "Of course, but not only that. I was wondering how in the h*ll you got the title of the school's bad boy when you are such a caring person? Aren't bad boys supposed to be cold and dangerous?"

He let out a slow, deep chuckle, "And aren't bad girls supposed to be the same?"

"Touche." I said as I also chuckled, but softly.

"I am only caring to you and our friends, baby doll, but I can be very cold to enemies and those that cross me. There's a reason that my name is in the Jaggers' gang name and it isn't just because of my ability to shoot guns very well."

"Then why?" I asked as I glanced at him with even more curiosity.

He drew in a deep breath and let it out slowly as he stopped in his tracks and turned to me. "I showed no mercy to the enemies of the Jaggers' gang and never let them win a fight with us."

"They don't deserve your mercy anyway after attacking you." I said as my eyes bounced between his two hazel eyes.

Surprise crossed his features before a smile stretched on his lips, "That is the first time that I've heard that and you're right, Max. Our enemies deserve no mercy from you unless those that have shown mercy to us."
