Chapter 75: Chapter 75

I turned my gaze to Jake who was still looking at the window, "So that spaghetti and meat balls?"

He turned his own gaze to me and his lips tugged up at the corner in a smirk. "Coming right up, baby doll."

After having an early dinner of Jake's spaghetti and meat balls, we decided to watch a movie. The food was fantastic as expected and I almost couldn't have enough that I ate most of it. He didn't mind eating a smaller proportion. He said that he was full and was more than happy have me meet most of it since that meant that I liked his cooking a lot.

Yes, that was right. Anyone with a taste bud would love his cooking. He and I were now cuddling on the couch with his arm around my shoulders while I rested my head on his shoulder. We were watching a romantic movie where the guy tries to win over the girl's love by giving her flowers, gifts, and even a car.

"I had no idea that you have to try that hard to win over a girl." Jake commented with a clueless look as he stared at the screen.

I glanced at him as I let out a small laugh, "Yeah, that's 'cause all the girls at school are falling all over you. Maybe I should have made you work harder to get me."

He turned his gaze to me as he shook his head with a pout, "Oh no, baby doll. I think that I've already suffered enough."

I raised one eyebrow in question as I asked, sarcastically, "Suffered enough? For how long?"

He smoothened out his pout and nodded, "I've liked you a lot for a long time, Max. Before we became werewolves and before the rest of the Jagger's gang accepted you. It was after we were werewolves that I realized that what I feel for you is actually love."

I get butterflies flutter in my tummy as my lips widened into a smile, "Aw, aren't you the sweet talker?"

His lips curved up into a smile as he said, "Only for you, baby doll."

I let out a laugh, and he joined me. Our gaze connected and soon our laughter died down. He lifted his hand and brushed a few stray hairs away from my face to behind my ear. "Your laugh is beautiful, baby doll. Just like everything about you."

I bit my bottom lip as I resisted the urge to smile like a geek for his sweet words. The action made his gaze fall to my lips and his hazel eyes turned dark with heat. I let my bottom lip go and his eyes traveled back up my face to capture my gaze again. I felt myself become hot from his gaze and became more aware that we were the only ones in the house.

That meant it was even riskier to make out because we might not be able to stop and do something that we might regret. Jake's heated eyes bored into mine as he breathed out, "I know what you're going to say. We need to stay away from each other until dad returns from his trip, but I don't know of I can stay away from you, Max."

He lifted his hand and traced my lips with his index finger as his gaze moved back to them. I felt my breathing become heavy from his touch and gaze. I didn't know if I could stay away from him either. Not just that, but I didn't want to stay away from him. I wanted to be with him in every way possible and complete the mate bond. But I didn't feel ready to lose my virginity, and I didn't want to lose it now either.

"I don't wanna stay away from you either, Jake." I murmured with his finger still against my lips. He stared at it on my lips for a while before taking it away.

He quickly replaced it with his lips and in a second, we were having a full on make out session. But it ended too soon and he moved back. We were both out of breath as he stood up from the couch. "I'll go and cool down in my room for a few minutes 'cause my wolf is trying to surface."

I took in a deep breath and let it out, "Sure, I think we need some time apart to think straight anyway."

He flashed me a charming smile before he turned around and used his werewolf speed to run up the stairs. He didn't become a blur like Sebastian since vampires were faster than us. I turned back to the movie to see that the guy had succeeded in wining the girl and they were now hugging each other in joy.

My own wolf was trying to get to the surface in excitement of getting close to our mate. I took in another deep breath and let it go to cool down when I heard knocking from the door. I felt startled, but kept my cool and stood up from the couch. Making my way to the door, I pulled it open without a second thought.

Three ripped men were standing on the porch and their skin was tanned just like most werewolves I knew. Before either of us could get a word out, Jake ran over to me and stood beside me using his speed. He growled at them with his fangs extending slightly. His reaction shocked me and made me wonder who the men were.

"What do you want? I could smell your werewolf blood from upstairs!" He growled as he stared them down, taking them as a threat to us.

The man in the middle who had shoulder length dark hair and was wearing blue jeans and a black top lifted the side of his lips up in a smirk. "We are no threat to you, Max and Jake. We came here before in wolf form and made the mistake of fighting you two."

"You're the teleporting werewolves?" I asked in shock, but still cautious while Jake still looked tense and on guard. They did attack us and we didn't know them. Who knew what they might try to do to us?
