Chapter 74: Chapter 74

After school, Jake and I returned to his house instead of going to hang out at my house since Jane and Shane had a date to go to while Drake, Alex and Sean planned to play some games online at Drake's. We haven't heard from Greg or Grey that day, so we decided to just go back to his. And he could even make that mean spaghetti and meat balls for me.

We entered his living room, walking side by side as we laughed at our conversation of Sean's attempt at a back flip that day. But our laughter stopped short when we saw Sebastian sitting on the three sitter couch with a smirk. He had his legs crossed with one leg's ankle on the other leg's knee.

He was leaning back against the couch in a care free way with his arms placed on the top of the back of the couch.

His gaze was on us as he said, "Took you two long enough."

I blinked at him as I tried to understand what he meant while Jake crossed his arms against his chest. He strode closer to him and stayed in front of me, it was obvious that he was ready to protect me if need be from this vampire. "You couldn't wait for us to call you?"

Sebastian's red eyes had a glow pass through them as he moved his gaze to me before looking back at Jake. "You are taking too long and I'm an eager, old vampire. So tell me your decision, do you accept to be allies with me or not?"

Jake looked at me over his shoulder and I glanced at him. Our gaze connected and we knew what we wanted. He looked back at Sebastian while I also moved my gaze to him. Sebastian looked amused at our little exchange as he waited for us to answer his questions.

"We will accept if you tell us what you are hiding." Jake said as he looked at him, firmly.

Sebastian raised one eyebrow, "What I am hiding?"

I nodded as I also crossed my arms against my chest, "Yes, why do you really want us on your side? Is it only because you want to get our power or is there something more?"

"It sure as h*ll seems so." Jake added as we watched him for our answers.

He sighed as he moved his arms to in front of him and interlaced his fingers together on his lap. "Fine, you got me. That isn't the only reason that I want you guys. I need you two on my side because there's a vampire that I need to defeat, and I am sure that he will become an enemy of yours too soon."

"A vampire? Who is he?" I asked with furrowed brows in curiosity while Jake also looked curious as he asked, "Why do you need to defeat him?"

"Yes, Hades. He is an evil vampire that is trying to create an army of vampires that he will use to enslave humans and other creatures including werewolves." He explained as he stood up from the couch. "The only way that I can stop him is by having you two fight him with me. Your strong Male Alpha blood and her strong Female Alpha blood that brings power to those around her will make us win against him for sure."

"So you're saying that you're the good guy here?" I asked with one raised eyebrow in question as I walked closer to stand beside Jake.

"Yes, is it that hard to believe?" He asked as he moved his red eyes to me.

"Yeah, considering you attacked us in the middle of the road." Jake said with a nod, bringing both of our gaze to him.

He let out a chuckle as he shook his head, "I do have to apologize for that. I was only thinking of defeating Hades and preventing werewolves like the Drillers' pack to use your power that I didn't think things through."

What he said shocked me because I didn't know that many people know of the Drillers' gang. "Wait, Drillers' pack, Kane's gang? How do you know them?"

Jake watched him quietly as Sebastian moved his gaze to me, replying, "Yes, of course. Everyone knows them, they are the one of the oldest packs, but the name was recently changed because that Kane took over."

Jake grimaced along with me as he said, "He is the worst."

Sebastian moved his gaze to him as he nodded, "Yes, the pack changed after he took over. They rob and attack other werewolf packs along with mistreating women in their packs."

"Wow, I knew about the abuse in their pack, but had no idea of the one on other packs." I said as my eyes widened in surprise, and Jake looked just as surprised.

"It is quite unfortunate, but you two are still yet to give me my answer." Sebastian said as he looked at both of us expectantly.

Jake and I looked at each other for a moment before looking back at him. I took in a deep breath and let it go and said, "We accept to be on your side."

"And work together to defeat both Kane and Hades." Jake added, evenly.

Sebastian's lips widened into a smile as he placed his hands in his slack's pockets. "I see that it is Kane that you want out of the way the most."

"Yes." I replied, and Jake looked at him curiously as he said, "I have a question, why do you care so much about stopping Hades? Do you have a grudge between you two?"

He smiled wider as he replied, "Let's just say that he took away something precious from me." He moved his eyes between the two of us as he took his hands out from his pockets. "Alright, I will take my leave now. I will get the whereabouts of Hades while making a plan to stop both him and Kane."

"Okay, we'll see you whenever then." I said as a small smile touched my lips.

"Until next time, vamp." Jake said, still looking tense and not trusting him completely.

"Good bye you two. Just call my name if you need my assistance."

"Okay." We both said at the same time, and in a second, Sebastian ran in a blur out to the window and jumped out of it.
