Chapter 59: Chapter 59

Leo turned his innocent gaze to me and nodded, "Yes, mistress."

I turned back to Jake to see him pulling out the bag of guns that Jane brought him during the weekend from under the three sitter couch. He quickly opened the bag and we all leaned forward to grab a gun. I grabbed a black glock since that was what Jake taught me to shoot.

Shane grabbed a rifle, Sean grabbed an AK 47, Mike grabbed two hand guns, Alex grabbed a laser gun, Drake also grabbed a laser gun and Jane grabbed an AK 47. Lastly, Jake grabbed two glocks with bullet packs and quickly ran in a crouch to the window. I followed him also in a crouch to the window next to him.

He raised his head up to look out the window while the others went to the other windows. I reached it just as another round of shots rained through the windows. Jake quickly ducked before the shots reached our window and his arm shot out to push me against the wall. I turned my head to look at him with widened eyes and saw the worry in his eyes.

"Careful, baby doll." He muttered, and I nodded, "Okay."

I heard Shane's rifle go off then the laser gun, and Jake took his hand back swiftly. He gripped his two glocks in each hand and raised up so that he was standing at the window. He started shooting his guns in a smooth motion. Bullet cartridges dropped on the ground as his index fingers pressed the triggers repeatedly. Suddenly, he quickly ducked as a rain of shots came through our window again.

I moved to the side of the window then straightened up from my crouch. I leaned my head to side slightly to see our enemies and where I would be shooting. What shocked me as I looked out the window was that I didn't recognize the gang shooting at us. At all. They were standing in front of a black Jeep and yellow Jeep as they shot at us.

"One, two, three…" I started counting the people that I saw shooting at us under my breath and counted seven. Two buff guys with tattoos and piercings were shooting glocks at us while three girls, all dressed in black jeans were shooting laser guns. Two lean guys in leather jackets were shooting hand guns as they all glared at us.

One of lean guys was injured and bleeding from his arm and abdomen while the one buff guy was bleeding on his upper arm from our shots, mostly Jake's. But they all continued shooting at us. It was strange, almost like all they could do was aim to kill us.

Who in the world were they? Why were they so angry and shooting at us? They looked like they were another gang and I felt like I've seen them somewhere, but not sure where. How did they even know that we were a gang on our own now and hung out in my house? Unless they've been watching us.

I glanced at the glock in my hand as I settled my index finger on the trigger and gripped the gun in my hand. I zeroed in on one of the two buff guys that was uninjured as I moved my gun to the side of the window. Swiftly, I pressed on the trigger several times, empty bullet cartridges dropped on the floor, one by one.

Two of my shots hit the buff guy in the abdomen and blood slowly started drenching his white, sleeveless top. He didn't seem to care as he continued, and that was when I noticed that the bleeding has stopped. That meant the wound was healing, and that could only mean one thing; they were supernaturals.

They might be werewolves, vampires or other creatures that we didn't even know existed. But whoever they were, they were angry, so angry as they shot at us. That made me really want to know why they were attacking us and how they became so angry at us when we didn't even know them. What has the world turned to for God's sake?

I quickly and smoothly withdrew my gun and hid beside the window as the buff guy I hit suddenly turned his rain of shots at my side of the window. How could you defeat a gang that healed so fast? Would this go on until one gang was too tired to go on? I shook my head and glanced at Jake as he watched me with his hazel eyes, still squatting under the window.

More shots burst through the now broken window as I muttered to him, "They're healing so fast. Must be a supernatural. How can we defeat them?"

"Alright, we'll hit vital places like their knees, ankles, collar bones, but not their heads since we don't want murder on our hands." He replied then moved to the other side of the window and straightened up like I did.

"Okay. Got it." I replied as I watched him lean slightly to the side to look out of the window. He brought his hand up and aimed at one buff guy and one lean guy in one swift motion. Shots moved to Jake's direction just as I pulled his hand back and moved to the side to hide behind the wall completely.

I leaned to the side to look out of the window to see the guys that he had shot were down and in a lot of pain. The buff guy was hit in the knee, ankle and forearm. He was down on one knee as he screamed out his lungs in pain and dropped his gun. The lean guy that Jake shot was not faring any better with a bullet through his knee, shoulder blade and palm.

He fell on the ground as he screamed, staring at the hole in his palm. But to our horror, we watched the tissue and skin knit back together and heal in a few seconds. However, the bullet was still in inside his knee cap and shoulder blade with the wound still unhealed.
