Chapter 25: Chapter 25

I stood up from the floor, "So what do you guys want to do to liven up? Watch a movie, play cards or something?"

"Or something." They all chorused besides Jake in which he chuckled. I chuckled too, "Alright, watch a movie it is."

I walked to the TV and switched it on then picked up the remote. It was showing a teen movie, The DUFF. I glanced over at them, "This okay?"

"Yeah." They all answered, and stood up. Sean and Shane went to the arm chairs on the left while Mike and Alex went to the arm chairs on the right. Jane and Drake went to the couch, and Jake sat down beside Drake.

I kept the remote on the center table and looked at them with both eyebrows raised. "Now, where am I supposed to sit?"

The TV was high on its stand against the wall and if I sat down on the floor, I would be straining my neck. And that would result in a lot of neck pain. Jake stood up and took my hand then swiftly pulled me down on his lap. In a second, I was sitting on his lap with his arms around my waist.

"What? Let me go!" I said as I tried to wriggle out of his hold and gripped his arms to remove them from around my waist.

"Why? I like you right where you are, baby doll." He murmured from behind me and I could feel his breath on my neck and that made me shiver delightfully. But I knew that I couldn't get carried away. I was not ready for a relationship, especially not with Jake who was more dangerous than the average bad boy.

"I don't want to sit on your lap. We're not dating and it's not right." I said as I kept trying to take his arms away from me.

"Then let's start. You know that I like you and I can tell that you like me, so why are we punishing ourselves?"

I stopped struggling as I heard his words, and I sighed. "You're right. I am afraid, afraid that my relationship with you will turn out to be just like Kane's relationship with me. I also don't want to lose this friendship that we have when we start dating and things get messy."

"I promise you it won't, baby doll. Just give me a chance and I'll prove it to you that I'm worth it. I'll treat you as the most precious girl in the world that you will forget that you were even Kane's girlfriend." Jake murmured with his head beside mine.

"Okay, I will think about it, but even if I agree, I will need more time to heal from my toxic relationship with him."

He chuckled, "It doesn't matter. As long as you agree, it's fine with me."

I smiled as I heard his laugh, and relaxed into him as I turned my focus on the TV. He did too as he didn't say anymore. The others apparently were not aware of what we were saying although they saw me struggling to get out of his grip. But it seemed that Drake and Jane did since they sitting beside us. Jane was also grinning when we were at the end of our conversation while Drake gave a small smile.

As soon as the movie finished, I looked towards the window and saw that the sun was going down when I heard Jake say, "It's time."

I turned my head to the side to see him looking at his watch. He looked up and met my eyes. "Ready to let me go now?"

He smirked and unwrapped his arms from around my waist. I turned back around and got up. I looked over at the rest to see them getting up and looking tense. "Relax, guys. It's not painful at all."

They nodded, and Jake stood up as well as Jane with Drake. "Follow me."

I walk towards the stairs and started climbing up the steps as they all followed me, Jake right behind me. I taking them to the guest room where we will lock it from inside and wait to turn into wolves. We soon reach the floor and I walked to the second door on the left.

I twisted the handle and pushed the door open. I held it open and glanced over at them. They all filed in and Jake entered last then me. Once inside, I closed the door and locked it. Turning around, I saw that they were all sitting on the twin bed inside the room except Jake who was standing beside me.

The room was decorated plainly with cream walls, beige curtains and a dresser opposite the bed. The rest were looking around the room, and Mike looked between Jake and I. "Now, what?"

As soon as he said that, they all started turning. I glanced out the window to see that the sun has already went down. I looked back at them to see that their finger nails were growing as their head elongated to change shape and fur sprouted from their skin. In less than a minute, they have all changed into large wolves. I felt confused as I looked at my hands and down my body.

I looked over at Jake to see him still in human form too. He looked from them to me, and we looked back at our wolf friends. We expected them to attack, but they padded towards us with their long tongues out. They all surrounded us and started rubbing their heads against our legs like they recognized us.

"They must recognize us." Jake said what I was thinking.

"Yeah, I think that it's because we are already werewolves so they see us as one of them." I said as I rubbed the head of one with ash fur.

"Yeah, and since we didn't change, that means that we can change when we want to." He said as he glanced at me.

"It seems so, but how do we change into wolves?" I moved my gaze from the wolf to him.

"Just like we changed into human, and remember the article, control your mind and command your wolf."

"Listen to you, being all smart. Is the bad boy now a smart, bad boy?" I said playfully with a smile.

Jake chuckled, "And look at you being so playful. I think I'm being a good influence on you."

I laughed this time, and looked back at the wolves that look excited. They walked around us, tongue hanging down from their mouth. I couldn't tell which was which since they all transformed at the same time. But they all looked adorable even though they were giant wolves with sharp teeth and claws.

Jake checked his watch and looked up at me, looking worried. "An hour has passes already. We need to get them to change back."

"Yeah, but do you think that they can hear us?"

"You heard me when I told you to change back last night."

"True, so it should work with them." I said as I realized that they all have different colors of fur. Apart from the ash one, there was a blond one, a reddish brown one, a light brown one, a dark brown one and a silver one. They all looked beautiful.

Jake looked at them as he said in a firm voice, "Change back into human."

The wolves all looked at him, realizing that he was talking to them. He nodded and said more firmly, "Change back into human form."

They all started turning back into human form as their nails and teeth shorten, and their heads turned back to their normal form with the fur disappearing from their skin. They stood still in their clothes that they changed in. Mike grinned as he said, "That was awesome!"

"Yeah, so awesome!" Sean exclaimed with a smile, and Shane nodded in agreement with a large smile.

"I have to say that I enjoyed it too." Jane said, and Drake added, "Me too. It was epic."

"More than epic! And I felt like I just want to stay as a wolf." Alex said excitedly.

"Yeah, and the urge to run outside too." Shane said, and I nodded along with the others.

"I felt that urge too when I changed last night."

"I did too, but something told me that I needed to change back into human form especially after biting you guys." Jake said, and that had me thinking.

"But it looked like you guys had more control over your wolves than us." I said, glancing between them and they looked at each other.

"Yeah, it seems so and I think it's because they felt at ease being with their kind since we already turned." Jake explained, and we all nodded as it made sense.

"Okay, so what about the running part?" Sean asked, looking between Jake and I.

"Let's try that the next time that we plan to change." I said.

"But where will we run without other people?" Jane asked, and I looked to Jake.
