Chapter 21: Chapter 21

"I will follow what Jake and Max decide." Jane said from the bed, and Drake added, "I will too."

"I'll also go with what they say." Alex said.

"I agree with them. It is not safe for us to be here." Shane said, and Sean raised his hand, "I second that."

Mike nodded in agreement. Aiden shook his head, looking amazed at Jake, yet sad. "I really don't want you guys to leave. But since that is what you want and it is for the safety of the gang, I will support you. I also want you to know that you are always welcome here, and I want you to stay in contact."

"Of course, we will." Jake replied, giving him a grateful smile.

"Yeah, no one will forget the old man!" Shane joked, referring to Aiden because we thought that he acted like an old man, being so serious all the time.

We all laughed including Aiden, and I turned to him. "Even though, I would rather we leave right now, but it's too late. We will leave in the morning."

"Alright, I understand. Let me know before you guys go."

"We will, but what will you tell the gang?" Jake asked, and we all stared at Aiden, waiting for his answer.

"I won't let them know that you are werewolves. I will only say that you left due to some personal reasons and wanted to make your own gang."

"Yeah, that sounds good." Alex commented and we all nodded.

"Okay, warn Rafer not to tell them either." Jake said, looking a bit worried.

"Alright, I will do so. But now, I will be going to bed to rest." Aiden said, and that was when I noticed how tired he looked with bags under his eyes. He did say that he had just finished a six hour shift at work apart from the work he did at home in the morning.

"See you in the morning." Jake said, and I added, "Good night, Aiden."

The rest all wished Aiden good night and he left. After he closed the door, Sean looked from Jake to me, looking concerned as he asked, "But where will we stay for our change into wolf form tomorrow's night?"

"We can stay at my house since my dad's not home and I'm the only one. We can lock ourselves inside a room so that we won't get out." I said, looking over at all of them.

"Thanks, Max." Shane said, and Mike added, "Yeah, that's a great idea."

"Thanks." Jane said while the others nodded in agreement.

Jake turned to me, "I hope it won't be too much on you."

"Not at all. I'm lonely anyway." I smiled at him to reassure him.

"Then we can also hang out there as a gang after school." He said, smiling back as he stared at me.

I felt a blush rise on my cheeks at his hot stare and I looked away, "Yeah, that will be great."

"Awesome! Now that it's decided, let's rest because I feel like I've been run by a truck." Sean said with an exaggerated sigh as he held his head.

Jake turned to him with an amused look, "Quit exaggerating, Sean."

We all laughed at their banter especially since we know that Sean only wanted to lighten the mood. And we needed that after going all that we did the last few days.

The next morning, I parked my bike in the school's parking lot just as Jake parked his next to mine and the rest our gang parked their cars beside him. I climbed off of the bike and he did the same as our friends came out of their cars and approached us. Jake and I met up, walking side by side as we walked towards the school double doors.

Our friends joined us and walked with us. Drake with his arm over Jane's shoulder were both beside me, on the right, Shane and Sean on the left, beside Jake. While Alex and Mike were on the ends, Alex being on the right end and Mike being on the left. Jake and I pushed open the double doors when we reached them. We walked in with our gang as everyone in the school turned to look at us, some amazed, some scared.

They gave way for us to pass as they stared at us. Jake glances at me, "How are you feeling today?"

"Even better than yesterday. So much stronger. I took my bathroom's door off of its hinges when I tried closing it this morning." I replied as I remembered how shocked I felt when it happened.

Jake did not look surprised, but he only nodded. "I'm feeling the same too. I tried turning on the faucet, but I ended up breaking the metal."

I looked at him, surprised because that was metal, "Whoa!"

"I know. We are strength is much more now, and we have to find a way to control it."

"Agreed, I have already started researching on it since last night. I will let you know what I found out once we reach home." I said, and Jane moved closer to me as she glanced at us.

"I am feeling so nervous about our change into wolf form tonight."

Jake and I both turned to her as I said, "Don't worry, there's nothing to worry about. You will actually feel so much better and healthier after the change."

"Okay, thanks for the reassurance." Jane smiled, and I smiled back.

"The change seems scary, but exciting to me." Alex said as we all continued walking.

"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it." Shane said, and Sean added with a grin, "Yeah, me too. I can't wait to show the ladies my strength."

We all laughed at him, and Mike added, playfully, "But it's true."

We chuckled again, and as the laughter died down, Jake said, "Yeah, but let's not talk about this in school in case anyone hears and thinks that we are going kuku."
