Chapter 20: Chapter 20
"Yes, I want us to leave the gang and create our own. It would be like a werewolf pack, and we can have each other's backs like we do in this gang."
I raised my hand and ran it through my hair as I thought of what he said. He watched me, waiting for my reply. I looked back at him as I moved my hand back to my side. "I think that it is a great idea, and we should do that as soon as they wake up. It is also good because we are also not as close to the other gang members like we are with them."
"Yeah, that's true. We are not sure if they will accept us, just like Rafer said." Jake added.
I nodded and looked over at our friends on the floor. "We should place them on the bed and others on the chairs."
Jake's lips quirked up in a small smile, "Yeah, we should. They won't like it if they woke up like this."
I smiled back at him before walking towards Jane. Jake walked towards Drake as I grabbed onto Jane's arms and pulled her up easily. It felt like I was picking up a feather as I dragged her to the bed. I placed her on it then laid her back. I straightened up and looked over at Jake to him, holding onto Drake's arms like I did.
He led him to the bed then placed him on it beside Jane. The bed was now full which meant that the rest have to go on the chair. He glanced up at me as the side of his lips quirked up in a smirk. "Enjoying the view, baby doll?"
I raised both of my eyebrows at his cockiness, "Cocky much, bad boy?"
He chuckled, "Touché."
I smiled as I shook my head and walked to Shane while Jake made his way to Sean, also grinning. We placed the rest on their previous chairs so that they would be comfortable when they woke up. As I finished placing Mike on his chair, he suddenly came to as he opened his eyes.
I stepped back, and Jake came to my side as we both watched Mike to see his reaction. We heard Shane groan beside him, then Alex, Sean, Jane and Drake. They all sat up as they opened their eyes. "What happened?"
That was Alex's question, and Shane frowned as though remembering what happened before he fainted. The others looked confused as Jane held onto her head with both hands. Mike's face turned angry as he snapped, "I will tell you what happened. Jake and Max bit us and turned us into werewolves like them."
"What? How can it be? I don't remember." Sean said, bringing his hand to his forehead.
"I can't remember either." Alex said, looking confused.
"I remember now, they both changed into werewolves unexpectedly and jumped on us." Shane said, and Jane nodded.
"That's how I remember it too." Drake said as his eyes stayed on Jane.
"We are sorry." I said, grimacing at how they were reacting.
"Yes, it was an accident. We didn't mean to bite you." Jake added as he looked worried, looking at them.
"It's fine, guys. We understand that you lost control." Jane said as she took her hands away from her head, and Drake nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, it was your first time changing into wolves. We're lucky that you didn't eat us." Shane said jokingly to lighten the mood, and Sean laughed with Alex.
Mike still looked angry as he stood up from his chair, "No! You ruined my life. I can can't believe that I will be a freak that turns into a wolf every night."
"It may not be every night." I said, feeling hurt that he would say that to us. He should understand that we had no control, especially since he was one of our close friends.
"We didn't mean it, Mike, and you of all people should understand that." Jake replied with a small frown on his forehead.
"Yes, they had no control over the wolves they became. You know that they would never hurt you or us intentionally." Jane explained to Mike softly.
"Yeah, and being a werewolf makes you powerful and special." Sean added, and their words made Mike think.
He nodded, and looked at Jake and I, "I am sorry, guys for acting that way. I understand now that you didn't mean it."
"It's fine, we understand how you mist be feeling." I said, giving him a small smile.
"Yeah, we didn't asked to be turned into wolves either." Jake added with a small smile.
Just then Aiden walked in through the open door, looking irritated. We all turned to him, and he looked at Jake and I, "Rafer complained to me. He said that he can't be in a gang with werewolves. That it is unsafe since no one knows when you might lose control and kill them."
Everyone looked shocked except me and Jake. I took in a deep breath and released it to calm myself down. Jake nodded at Aiden, "Actually, Max and I have decided to form our own gang with the rest of our werewolf friends. We also don't want the gang to be in danger."
"No, you can't leave. You are all an important part of this gang, and I already told Rafer no." Aiden protested as concern showed on his face.
"But Rafer won't take no for an answer, and what about the other gang members?" I stated the obvious as I crossed my arms across my chest.
Aiden sighed, "I will deal with them, but you guys can't go, especially you, Jake. Your name is even the first letter of our gang's name, and you are one of the founders. Not to talk of how good you are at shooting."
"It doesn't matter, it's for the safety of the gang." Jake said, firmly, and I nodded.
