Chapter 40: Chapter 40

Chrystal's pov:

I am sitting at my vanity putting my hair in a long braid when the girls come in. I get up to get a better look at them. Tabitha is dressed liked me all in black she has her combat boots on. Now she will be the one going down the mountain to where they are entering and keeping an eye on them to make sure nothing gets them. She will be watching from the trees. Me and her are good at jumping from tree to tree that is one of our advantages in case we get attacked. Dad always told us to get up in trees if we were attacked no one will look for us there. It has worked for us so far and me and Tabitha are the best at it.

I look at Kimmie and she is dressed in a pixie dress, it has long sleeves and comes to her knees it hugs her figure well and showing off her tanned legs at the same time. The skirt on the dress will flare out when she dances. As for Angie's outfit she is dressed in a fae outfit, it has a black skirt with a white corset top that comes off her shoulders. Okay what can I say we all like black.

We all give each other compliments on our outfits and Angie has me sit down and finishes braiding my hair. She gets done and I sigh and turn to them and say "are you guy's ready for this."

"We are right behind you. I have a good feeling about tonight" says Kimmie.

I smile at her and say "I do to. Well lets het going we still have a few more touch ups to do and we need to help granny."

With that we all head down stairs to put the plan into action. We get to the kitchen and ask granny what she needs help with and she tells us to start taking the food she has on the counter out and put it up on the buffet table the men have set up. I look at the counter and she has deviled eggs, yum, then potato salad, pasta salad and some dinner rolls. So we all grab what we can and head out while she is taking something out of the oven.

We get outside and notice the table the men had set up and we take the food to it and sit it down. I look around and I notice my dad and a couple of other guy's around the barbeque grills. I walk over to take a peek at what's on the grill. I open up the top and my mouth starts to water and I can feel Kia getting excited from all the food we are looking at. We have hamburgers, hot dogs, steaks, corn on the cob and baked potatoes. Oh man we are going to eat in style tonight that's for sure.

I look at my dad and start laughing and kiss him on the cheek he turns to me and asks what was that for and I point to his front. He is wearing an apron that say's "kiss the cook on it." I start laughing and he just smirks at me and say's your granny's idea of a joke. I give him a hug and then go back to my group.

I can feel the excitement in the air surrounding us. No one is saying anything about it afraid we will get caught and we all know how Thor is when he gets mad at us. It is not a pretty picture.

All the food gets done and we all sit and eat. It is getting dark now and I can feel it is getting closer to the time the guy's head into the fog. I am starting to get nervous along with excited. What if something goes wrong? What would I do? I close my eyes and pray to the moon goddess to help me to keep them safe it is my fault after all that is making them curious about this mountain.

I let out a deep sigh and get up to start to help to clean up and I can feel granny's eyes on me. I look up at her and give her the best smile I can and head in with some dishes in my hands. I start some water in the sink so I can wash them up and I hear someone come in behind me. I can smell its granny. "Everything okay dear?"

I keep my head turned away from her and just say "yes granny everything is fine." I can feel her behind me I can feel her eyes boring holes in me trying to figure out what's up. But I just keep doing the dishes trying to get my mind off of all the negative things that could go wrong tonight. Like them getting lost in the eternity spell.

Before she can ask any more questions some more people come in with some more dishes and she gets busy putting the left overs away. I do my best to occupy myself with the clean up to keep my mind off the negative things going through my head so granny will stop suspecting anything. We decide to watch a movie and wait till it is midnight and the moon is high to start the celebration.

Granny goes around and puts a sound proof spell on the areas of those warriors who will not be celebrating with us so we do not disturb them. Now I knew granny would do this she has it on the house because she knows sometimes I cannot sleep and I come out late at night for my workouts and I used to wake her up. So this fell into our plans, so far so good. All's that's left now is for the ones that are not celebrating to go to bed.
