Chapter 87: Chapter 87

Elsa pushed the door open and Ellie trailed behind her as they entered the house. “It is quite dark in here.” Ellie whispered as she strained her eyes to see in the dark.

“Just hold onto me.” Elsa said in return and they tiptoed, making sure they don't hit their legs against something. Thankfully the door was slightly opened so there was a ray of light piercing through. Elsa saw this and a glint of hope lit up in her. “There is the door over there.” She said and pointed towards it. They practically ran towards it and pushed the door open fully then they walked out. As they were busy taking in how decorated the house was, they suddenly heard a voice crying out in distress. This caught their attention and they looked around. They saw the same two people that had snuck in. “Drop me.” The young girl which was the celebrant cried out as she hit the man continuously who was carrying her over his shoulder.

Ellie gasped. “Oh my goodness,” Elsa shouted and they ran after them.

“Shit, someone is here. Walk faster.” The woman yelled at the man. They soon started walking faster. “Hey, stop,” Ellie shouted at them.

“Drop me.” The girl cried out. Elsa ran with all her might. “Ellie, go and call the parents first,” Elsa said to her. Ellie stopped and turned on her heels towards the door. Elsa kept chasing after them as they ran down the stairs into one of the numerous corridors. The mansion was a big one.

“Ma'am, please where is the celebrant? Kindly bring her out.” The MC asked. The mother nodded with a smile and joined hands with her husband. They walked into the house and walked straight up the stairs. They saw that the door of the girl's room was slightly opened. They pushed it and walked in. “Mercy darling.” Her mother said in a caring tone. She furrowed her eyebrows when she saw that she did not hear her voice. Her dad checked the bathroom but did not see her. Her mother checked the closet but she was nowhere to be found. “Mercy, it is time to go out.” She said again but got no response.

“Mercy, I have brought the juice you asked me to get for you.” Their maid said as she walked in to meet them with confusion written on their faces. She looked around.

“Where is Mercy?” Her mother demanded. The maid furrowed her eyebrows. “She told me that she was craving juice and I went downstairs to get it for her. I don’t know where she went to.” She answered as she dropped the juice on the stool close to her. “Where has she gone to, Austin?” She asked her husband as they exited the room. Ellie ran across the corridors and towards the girl's room. She saw people come out of the room.

They looked around and saw a lady who was running towards them. Liliana's heart started beating at a faster rate. She finally got to their place. “Your…” Ellie breathed heavily with her chest moving up and down.

Liliana urged her. “Your daughter was carried by two people just a while ago…” Ellie was still talking.

“What?!” Liliana screamed out. “Take us there.” She shouted. Ellie without wasting time ran forwards while they followed her. They passed through the corridors. Austin was starting to regret making the house big. They saw the two people and Elsa fighting against the woman. The man that had carried Mercy was lying down with his hands holding unto his head. Mercy had hit when she caught hold of a vase that was standing as an environmental decoration in one of the corridors, which had given Elsa more chance to catch up with them. Mercy on seeing her mom, Liliana, ran towards her. “Mom.” She called out with tears rolling out of her eyes.

“My baby.” Liliana cooed as she hugged her tightly. Liliana looked up to see who had dared to kidnap her child and her eyes went wide in shock as she saw the person.

“Natasha?!” Austin yelled out in surprise. Natasha stopped and looked at him. Elsa stood up and adjusted her clothes properly. Ellie went towards her and stood by her side. “Austin.” She said with her jaw dropping in surprise.

“What are you doing here?” He asked.

“Isn't it quite obvious that she came here to kidnap my child?” Liliana scoffed out angrily as she glared daggers at Natasha. Natasha slowly burst out laughing hysterically. “W-what? Yes, I came here to take your child away from you. You know the way I took your first kids nineteen years ago… I was supposed to take her… but…” She laughed out crazily. Like she had gone out of her mind.

“But… these girls won't mind what they came here for…” She pointed towards the twins and the words were caught up in her throat. Her eyes were widened like they wanted to bulge out of their sockets. “You… what are you doing here? Wasn't she supposed to keep you away from here?” She yelled making Liliana and Austin look at the twins properly.

Liliana looked at the girls with scrutiny and her lips twitched up in shock.

“You…” she gulped down hard.

“Even fate is against me. The twins I wanted to separate from you nineteen years ago are back now to this same house.” Natasha wailed angrily as she demonstrated in a way that one strangles a person. Austin looked at the twins who were staring at them in return.

“Call the cops.” Liliana alerted the maid.

No sooner did the cops arrive with their sirens blaring.

“Arrest her.” Liliana pointed towards Natasha. One of the cops nodded his head and went to meet her while the other took the man that had accompanied Natasha. She got handcuffed her and they dragged her away. But she would not stop laughing out like she was crazy and insane. “I will come back for you.” She yelled.

Liliana glared at Austin and hissed out. “Take care of your insane Ex.” She spat. Ellie and Elsa stood dumbfounded. They did not know what to do or how to react to what has just been revealed to them.

That the ones who raised them were not their real parents?!

Liliana walked towards the twins with a sad smile on her lips.

She touched Ellie's face and felt how soft it was. She smiled. Just like hers.

She looked at Elsa who was looking away in anguish.

“You don’t believe what that lady said, do you?” Elsa asked.

“Yes, I do. She was my husband's Ex-girlfriend and she was quite obsessed with him.” Liliana answered.

Elsa scoffed and looked away.
