Chapter 85: Chapter 85

“So you guys are okay with the pay?” Claire asked them as they stood before the twins' house. They had gone out in the morning to see the man that would hire them. They agreed on a relatable amount of money. “Yeah, we are and besides, it is a day job. The pay is quite good.” Ellie said with a tight smile. Elsa nodded as she listened to them. “No problem then.” Claire said.

“See you later.” Elsa waved at her. Claire waved back and walked off to her own apartment.

They looked at their house and walked towards the door.

Elsa knocked on the door and their granny came to open the door, knowing fully well that it could not be any one other than them. “You could not ask who was at the door.” Ellie said as they walked into the living room.

“Who else other than you would knock at the door?” Rachael asked. “One of the people you are owing.” Elsa teased. Rachael chuckled and shook her head at them.

“So how did it go?” She asked them.

“Fine. We agreed on the pay and after we are done, we will get it.” Ellie answered her. She nodded her head. “you guys should have something to eat. I think there is still few loaves of bread and butter to eat it.” Rachael added.

“Gosh, I’m so full.” Ellie pouted as she rubbed her stomach. Elsa rolled her eyes at her and sat down on the chair.

“Ellie, please. Come and help me to massage my foot.” Rachael said. Ellie frowned her face and said. “Granny, we have to sleep early. Please.”

“Just because I asked you to massage my feet for me? You are telling me you want to sleep?” Rachael asked. Elsa stood up silently and said. “Granny, see you tomorrow morning. Gotta sleep right now.” She ran towards their room before Racheal will turn towards her and ask her to massage her.

“Lazy. You girls are lazy.” She said in her old aged voice. Ellie and Elsa giggled at her.

**Next Morning**

Ellie and Elsa woke up as early as possible. It could be said that they hardly had any sleep as they do not want to be late for their new job. They had their bath and picked out their uniform. A white shirt and black pair of trousers with a matching red tie. “Do we really need this attire of a thing?” Ellie mumbled as she wore the pair of trousers and tucked the shirt in. Elsa chuckled at her and wore her pair of black sandals.

Ellie stood in front of the mirror and combed her hair. She packed it into a ponytail and applied some lip gloss. “Why do you see the need to use that?” Elsa scoffed. “Because my lips can't be dry.” Ellie replied in a duh tone. She bent down to tie the lace of her white sneakers.

“When you are done, meet me in the living room.” Elsa said and left their room. Ellie nodded and went to put down the curtains before exiting the room.

Ellie met Elsa putting some stuffs in the kitchen. “Granny is yet to wake up,” Ellie said. “Yeah.”

“Don't wake her up, since she already k,ows that we will be going early.” Elsa told her.

“But let us leave some note for her at least.” Ellie suggested. Elsa saw that it was a perfect option and went towards the drawer. She took out a jotter and a pen. She t, re out a sheet of paper and wrote.

“Dear, granny. We see you, were quite asleep and we decided not to wake you up. We have gone for work and also don’t worry yourself, we will have something to eat when we get there. Don’t forget to take your meds.”

Regards,

Elsa&Ellie.

“That's okay, right?” Elsa asked as they stared at what she wrote.

“Yeah.” Ellie heaved a sigh of relief.

“So where should I place it?” Elsa wondered as she looked around for a place that would be quite visible for their granny.

“Over there.” Ellie pointed to the jug on the little dining table. Rachael never fails to use the jug in a day so it was just the perfect place. Elsa nodded her head in agreement and placed it under the jug. “Ready?” Elsa asked. “Yeah,” Ellie replied.

“Good, let's move. The man said the bus will arrive at 6:30 AM.” Elsa told her. Just as if on cue, they looked up at the old clock that hung just above their television.

“6:05 AM.” Ellie read aloud.

“Let's move.” Elsa urged her. They walked out of the house and Elsa made sure to lock the door with her spare key.

They headed down the streets and stood. They looked around and saw a white bus with its led lights shining, driving towards them They stood at alert. The bus parked before them. “Get in.” They heard the man's familiar voice. They hopped in and saw other people that would be helping them also. The bus drove off and stopped at other two bus stops to pick other people.

After what seemed like few hours, they finally got to the place the event will be taking place. “You can all get down.” The head waiter announced. They all got down from the bus and Ellie looked up, it was morning already. The sun had risen. She looked around and saw that decorators were already doing their jobs.

“Let's go.” Elsa whispered. Ellie looked at her and followed the rest. “You all know the rules, right?” The head waiter asked. “Yes, sir.” They all chorused a reply. “No problem then, the party starts late this evening. Get ready.” They all nodded and got into various works.

Ellie and Elsa walked towards a particular banner. The picture of the celebrant was on it with her name and also her age. “Why does this girl have a slight resemblance of us?” Ellie thought aloud as she took in the girl's feature. “The fact that you not eat anything must be having an effect on your eyes.” Ellie snorted with a chuckle before walking off.

“What? I was just thinking anyways.” Ellie scoffed and walked towards the tables.

“Wow.” Ellie's mouth went agape as she stared at the house. No, not house. Mansion before her.

“This is beautiful.” She said. Elsa rolled her eyes at her behavior. “Ellie, be composed. Please.” She said and dragged her to the store. They carried some things and walked out.
