Chapter 83: Chapter 83

Elsa's and Ellie's happiness knew no bound as they heard what Claire said. They yelped up in joy and hugged each other. Claire smiled as she watched them. They released from the hug and embraced Claire in an hug also. “Can't breathe.” She said in a choked voice. The twins released the tight hold on her. “Wow, thank you so much. I really really appreciate it.” Elsa said with a bright smile. “Come tomorrow, since I am taking a day off tomorrow, we might as well meet the man.” Claire uttered. They nodded their head in agreement.

“Okay.” Ellie replied. “Now, before I get fired. You may leave.” Claire said, pushing them out of the restaurant. Elsa giggled at her.

“So Elsa, what do you think about Jayson?” Ellie asked. The question has been bothering ever since she came back from that *stupid* one week break that they had gone for. They walked through the streets and they could see their little bungalow with dim light ahead of them already. “He is a cool guy and sometimes funny. He is quite humble and not like those rich kids.” Elsa answered, not minding at all. Since her sister had always liked to talk about Jayson and also their relationship as of now seems shaky. She can endure to answer her questions. “Do you… Erm…” Ellie pursed her lips. “Do you perhaps have a crush on him?” Ellie asked. Elsa came to an halt immediately she heard it and stared at her with wrinkled eyebrows before bursting into a laugh. “Ridiculous.” She exclaimed. “Ellie, you seem to be forgetting something here, I have made it clear to you from the beginning that Jayson and I have nothing to do with each other. We are just friends.” Elsa explained.

“Okay, okay. Just that the way he stares at you… forget it.” Ellie mumbled.

As they got to their house, Ellie knocked. “Who’s there?” They heard their granny ask. “Twins.” Elsa replied. “Oh, okay. I’m on my way.” She announced and they could hear her footsteps coming towards the door. She twisted the doorknob and pushed the door towards herself. They looked up at her and walked in. She closed the door and locked it.

“So did you girls get any job?, since you have been gone since morning and only coming back in the evening.” She asked with her hands on her waist. “Yes, granny. It is a serving job though. A birthday party and we will be serving the guest.” Ellie answered. “Oh, thank goodness. But where is this party being held?” she asked again. “We don't know yet. We will meet the man tomorrow and talk it out.” Elsa replied.

“Okay then. If you say so. But after you are done with the serving and all, what job will you take after that?” She inquired again.

“Granny, let’s at least do this one before moving to another.” Ellie replied and stood up. “I am quite sleepy, I need to rest. Granny, please cook dinner. I ate nothing this noon.” Ellie said with a yawn and left for her room. Elsa sat down on the chair and slowly dozed off. Racheal shook her head and walked back to the kitchen.

“So, mom. You know her?” Jake asked his mother with furrowed eyebrows. His mother stood with her hands curved at her back while she backed him. “If I don’t, I would not have asked that question.” She replied coldly.

What led to this?

*Earlier In the morning*

“So you said you want to come and visit me?” Jake asked as he forced himself up from the bed and walked towards the mirror. “Yes.” Aria responded with a smile that he could visualize. He nodded his head. “Hope dad won't be angry with or have you even asked for permission from him?” He asked and brushed his hair with his hands before moving towards the gym.

“No, he won't. I already talked to my mom and besides dad already travelled. Just let me come, okay?” Aria answered with a pout. “No, problem then. Will send you the address. Hope you don’t get lost.” He said jokingly. She giggled and rolled her eyes. He disconnected the call and typed some digits and alphabets before clicking the ‘send’ button.

She had called him the previous day to inform him that she would be coming to visit him. He had tried to convince her not to come but Aria was so stubborn so he just gave up.

*Three hours and some minutes later*

“Good morning, sir.” He heard a maid greet him from behind. He looked at her and nodded. “A lady named Aria is here to see you.” She notified him. He dropped the bottle of water and said. “Tell her I will be right there.” She nodded her nodded head and walked out of the gym. He walked out after some minutes with sweats all over him. As he got to the living room, he saw Aria staring at an art work that was hung on the wall. She felt a presence behind and she turned back. She beamed immediately she saw him. “Good afternoon.” She greeted and went to give him a hug. She stopped when she saw how sweaty he was. “Hey, you have not taken you bath.” She wrinkled her nose. He chuckled silently. “Give me some minutes.” He said and went back upstairs.

Some Minutes Later…

“I’m good.” Aria heard Jake's voice say. She looked up at him. He had his right hand in his pocket while his left hand held his phone to his left ear. “Yeah, yeah.” He joked and rolled his eyes. She smiled. He looked just like their dad except for his eyes. He probably took that from his mother.

He got to where she was and threw a small smile at her. “Okay, talk to you later.” Jake said and disconnected the call. “Hope you have been served some things?” He asked. “Yes, just juice.” She answered.

“And you are okay with that?” He asked. “Yes.” She replied.

“So where is your mom?” She asked as she looked around, trying to see if she would get a glimpse of her or her portrait.

“She is not around. She went on a business trip.” He replied.

“Business trip my foot.” His subconscious mind scoffed.
