Chapter 82: Chapter 82
Ellie turned around and faced her granny. “Lower the volume of the television.” Elsa said to her. Ellie took the remote and lowered it. “I know that what happened the other day is why you are angry with me.” Rachael started out, hoping silently that it was the best way to start. Ellie lost interest in the discussion. “I should not have behaved like some bad granny there. I should have stood up for you but then I disappointed you and even your parents.” She said with tears rolling down her eyes. Ellie is definitely not going to fall for this. Elsa walked over to them. “We have been a very bad family to you. Please forgive us.” Elsa pleaded. Ellie looked between the both of them, trying to see if they were really sincere with what they were saying but she was no fool to believe it. It was all a façade. If some thing bad happens in the future like this, they will definitely blame her. She will just play along. “Granny, what made you think I am angry with you?” Ellie asked as she went to sit beside her on the three sitter chair. Rachael looked up at her with teary eyes. “I am not angry with you and cannot bear to be. Why will I? You are the only one I have and you too.” She said to Elsa. Elsa did not know how to take Ellie's sudden change in behavior. “Ellie…”
“Elsa.” Ellie cut her off. She was really tired of all the apologies they tell her every time they do something painful to her. Gosh, she needs a break from them.
“Well, I had a A grade.” She announced and Elsa looked at her, surprised. She did not know as she was still thinking of how to ask her. “Wow, congrats.” Rachael said and pulled her for a hug. Elsa hugged her also.
“Now that we are back. Granny, you don't need to do anything anymore. First thing tomorrow morning, we will have our bath and move out to look for jobs.” Elsa said. Rachael shook her head in disagreement. “No, you just came back from school and the stress that comes with it. And now without taking any rest, you want to work? Nope.” She shook her head negatively. Ellie smiled. “Mama, there is no food for a lazy man.”
“And you are not lazy.” Rachael added. They both chuckled at her. “Just a job, granny. No more arguments.” Elsa said with finality in her voice. The words were caught up in Racheal's throat. She heaved a sigh and nodded. Not like she can fight them. They both grinned and hugged her. She patted them.
“Really sleepy.” Elsa said and stretched out. “You girls should sleep early.” Rachael said and they both walked to their room.
Ellie placed the pillow down properly and slumped on the bed. She gazed at the ceiling and slowly closed her eyes. She drifted off to sleep. Elsa too did not waste time dozing off. They were really tired.

**Next Morning**
Ellie tossed around on the bed, trying to shade her face away from the ray of sunlight that lanced through their window. She groaned as she tried close her eyes tightly. Then there came the sound from radio. She groaned loudly. “Elsa, will you fvcking turn off the radio?” She shouted angrily. They had just ruined her blissful sleep. Elsa walked to the room with a broom in her hands. “It is 7:30 AM and you are not awake?” Elsa asked. Ellie rolled her eyes and slumped back on the bed. “Do you know you can be quite annoying sometimes?” Ellie grumbled out. Elsa snorted and went out. “Better get up and come do some cleaning.” Elsa yelled over. Ellie struggled out of the bed and climbed down from the bed.

“So where do you guys think you will get job from?” Rachael asked the twins as she stared at them. Ellie had her hair poured down on her shoulders, clad in blue top and a black denim jean with a pair of white sneakers to match while Elsa has her hair tied up into a bun, clad In a short deep blue skirt and a grey top with black sandals.
“I don’t know but I can ask a colleague of mine at the place I worked before, maybe she can help.” Elsa said with a glimmer of hope. “Oh, okay then.” Rachael surrendered. They were not easy to convince the moment they set their eyes on it. “Just be careful.” She warned and they both walked out of the house.
They walked along the streets and finally got to Elsa's former working place.
“See who's here.” Claire said in a singsong tone as she hugged Elsa who returned it with a little smile. Claire smiled at Ellie, acknowledging her presence. “Come in.” She urged them. “So what brings you here?” Claire asked. “Is there still vacancy?” Elsa asked as she looked around.
“No, not really anymore. Boss got two other workers. So we are filled up.” Claire said in a sad tone. “Do you perhaps know of any jobs available around?” Ellie asked.
Claire thought about it for a while. “Yes, I do. But it is a one time job. Serving during a birthday party but the pay is quite okay.” She explained. “Do you know the head server?” Elsa asked.
“Yes, of course. Even, they have been asking for helping hands.” Claire said. “Oh, thanks.”
“I remember clearly, the birthday is in just three days' time.” Claire said. “How do we get the job then?” Ellie asked.
“Let me give the man a call first.” Claire spoke up and excused herself. She dialed some numbers on her phone and placed it close to her ear. “Hello, sir.” She greeted. Elsa and Ellie tuned her conversation with him out and looked around. It was quite busy for a restaurant. People eating and jabbing the spoons on plates, making noise.
“Congratulations. You got the job.” Claire announced.
