Chapter 81: Chapter 81

“Yeah, yeah. Over here.” Ellie told the driver, pointing to the side of the road. He parked the car. She and Jake got down from the car. The scorching sun hit Jake right on his skin that he winced out painfully. “Gosh, it is sunny.” Jake said muttered painfully. Ellie chuckled quietly. “Oh, my prince. You may go back into the car since you are not used to it.” Ellie teased. Jake uttered a snort and rolled his eyes. They looked around and saw that Elsa and Jayson had just gotten down from Jayson's car. “So where is your house?” Jake asked as he looked around. Low budget bungalows everywhere. Even the gutter he stood next to smelled, he had to ceased his breath for a few seconds before letting out the air. “My house is still quite far from here. But not so far.” Ellie said. Jake tilted his head to a side and narrowed his eyes on her. “Is it far or not far?” He asked. “Not far.” Ellie answered. Jake scoffed. “So you stay around here?” Jayson asked Elsa as they walked towards Jake and Ellie. “Nope. But it is okay we stopped here. We have suffered you enough.” She replied sincerely. She also did not know why Ellie stopped Jake's car. “But I really want to know your house.” Jake pouted. Ellie chuckled. “We will follow you.” Jayson implied. “No.” Elsa said firmly and they all exhaled deeply. “What are you scared of? You don’t want us to know your house?” Jake asked. “What?! We are just not sure if our granny will be around. Don’t worry, you can come some other time when we are sure.” Ellie answered.

“Anyways, thanks for the ride. We really appreciate it.” Elsa said with a slight smile. Ellie carried her bags and was about to leave when Jake held her hands. She stopped and turned around. “Take, you can give me a call.” Jake handed his card to her. She looked at it for a while before looking up to him with a smile. “Sure.” She said. “That is if I get a phone.” She added mentally. “Bye.” Ellie said simply. He smiled at her. Elsa waved her hands at Jayson and followed her sister. The guys stared at the girls and looked at each other. “You guys are sure pussy whipped.” Jace said from the audio call. They both chuckled. They got into their cars and drove off.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

Elsa knocked on the door. “Who’s there?” They heard their granny shout from inside. As Ellie was about to answer her, Elsa shushed her with her finger on her lips. When Racheal did not hear a word, she decided to come check. They heard her footsteps and smiled, anticipating her. Rachael pulled the door open and her eyes went wide open when she saw the two pairs of grey eyes staring at her, obviously waiting for her. “Granny.” Elsa called out happily as she engulfed her granny in a huge hug. Rachael gasped and returned the hug. Ellie pushed the door open and carried her brown colored bag leaving Rachael and Elsa engulfed in their hug. After they released from the hug, Racheal looked around and saw Ellie drinking water. She smiled. “Won’t you give old mama a hug?” She asked as she stretched her hands out. Ellie dropped the cup and licked her lips then she looked at her granny. She tucked her hair behind her ear and said. “You already hugged Elsa. So don’t worry about mine.” Ellie waved her off nonchalantly and walked to their room. Rachael stared at her with eyes wide open in shock and darted her gaze to Elsa who shrugged and slumped on the chair. “She has not spoken to me since the incident and yes, by the way, she did not do it. It was a girl that framed her.” Elsa disclosed to her granny who did not know what to make out from what she heard. “She… she really did not do it? Like she did not cheat?” Rachael asked, shocked. “Yeah, she did not. But the girl has been punished anyways.” Elsa shrugged. Racheal was about to go and meet Ellie when Elsa's voice stopped her. “Granny, let her be for a while. She has been reading for the past week now trying to prove her innocence.” Elsa said and closed her eyes. Rachael felt bad. She had accused her own daughter of something as shameful as that. Then she realized, she did not really know her own grand daughter. They were just living together but she does not know her. She even went ahead to compare her to her sister. “I am really a bad granny.” She cried out as she facepalmed. Elsa opened her eyes to look at her. “Granny, you are not. Stop blaming yourself. She will come around. She is just stressed out.” Elsa consoled her as she sat down beside her.

**At night**

“Hey, wake up. Granny said you should come for dinner.” Elsa tapped Ellie. Ellie removed her hands that she place on her face and looked at her sister who was already walking towards the door. She slowly sat up and stretched out with a yawn. She wore her slippers and walked out of the room, mostly like staggering. She got to the living room and saw her granny seated alongside with Elsa who had come to call her. She slowly place her butts down and stared at the plates of food before her. She swallowed lightly as she salivated them. On seeing this, Rachael smiled and said. “I cooked your favorite dish. Take a bite.” Rachael said and served some chicken noodle soup into her plate. Ellie looked at Racheal then at Elsa who was already eating. She was wondering what wrong with them. “You can eat.” Rachael notified her. Ellie nodded her head and picked her spoon. “How is it?” Rachael asked. “Delicious.” Ellie answered and Racheal beamed happily.

Elsa cleaned her lips with the tissues and carried her plates to the kitchen.

“Ellie.” Rachael called out in a soft voice.
