Chapter 80: Chapter 80

Aria looked around and saw him walking out of the class. She hurriedly waddled her way out and went to meet him. “Hey.” She called out. He stopped and turned around. He exhaled deeply as he saw that she was the one calling him. “Thank you.” She said with a smile. “It's nothing. Helping can't be that bad.” He answered. “Are you sure you don’t want me to tell them you were the one who gave me the recording?” She asked. “Nope, just let be like this for now.” He answered truthfully. “You have a nice heart by the way.” She complimented him. He chuckled and said. “Thank you.” She nodded. “So how was your results?” She asked, not knowing how to end the conversation she had began. “A grade.” He answered. “Really? I had a B+.” She said with a pout. “Just keep trying, I will take my leave.” He said and left.

“What a good soul he has?” She thought. Finally, she was going back home. She can't wait. But something was bothering her. Her father. Jake. Her family.

Gosh, she never knew her life was this complicated.

She walked back to the class and saw Ellie talking to her friends. She went to meet her and tapped her. Ellie flinched a bit and turned around. “So what was your grade?” Aria asked. “A grade.” Ellie said in a spell-out tone. “What?! A grade!.” She exclaimed. “Yeah.” Ellie said out of excitement. “Wow, I had a B+ grade.” She said with a sad pout. “Awnn.” Ellie cooed and drew her into an hug.

“Time to pack my bags. See you later.” Aria waved her hands at her and ran out of the class with her results in her hands.

Ellie walked towards her dorm and entered. Elsa had already returned and had changed her clothes. Ellie wasted no time and changed hers too. They zipped up their bags and carried it out of the room. They dragged it out of the dorm and to the parking lounge. Ellie saw Jake standing besides his car. She walked over to him.

“Hey.” She hollered at him. He looked up from his phone and smiled at her. “You really passed.” He commended. “Having an handsome tutor like you made it possible.” She teased him. He laughed and said. “There was a time I thought you were falling head over heels with me while I was teaching you.” He teased back and she rolled her eyes.

“But let's be honest here, I could not have done it if you had not guided me.” She said. He beamed a bit and said. “Stop all this appreciation. You are a friend to me. So… it is nothing.” He replied. She looked around and saw different cars with different designs. There were some parents there too to pick their kids. “Where is your mom?” Jake asked. “Mom?” Ellie said, caught unawares. “Yeah.” He answered. “She is not coming.” Ellie replied. “Why?” He asked. “Oh, that's my sister over there. Let's go.” She pointed towards the place Elsa and Jayson were talking.

“Hi, Jayson.” She greeted him with a little smile. He looked up from Elsa and stared at her look alike. “I just wanted to thank you for helping me yesterday.” She said. “Oh, that. Your sister is a close friend of mine so helping you should not be a problem.” He answered. But she felt hurt by what he said. So if he was not her sister's friend, he would not have helped her. “But since you took the thoughts to thank me, you are always welcome.” He said in a dismissive tone. He just does not like her. Not like she was smelly or stinky or… He is quite choosy. But to him, he does not feel like getting drawn to her. She frowned internally but smiled outside. She turned to Elsa and said. “Let’s go.” As Elsa was about to move, Jake held Ellie’s hands and she stopped. She looked at her hand and trailed it up to meet Jake's face. She raised an eyebrow. “I can give you a ride if you don’t mind.” He said with a smile. He prayed internally that she should accept. “And I can give Elsa a ride in mine.” Jayson added. Great. Just great. They shared them in between themselves. The twins stared at them, knowing fully well that they would still insist and besides, they don’t have any transport fare and they doubt their granny will be at home to pay. “Okay, no problem.” Elsa replied with a forced smile. Ellie followed Jake to his car while Elsa got into Jayson's car. Christian watched from afar as they entered. He lost. He already did. A long time ago. “Drive off.” He ordered the driver who did not waste in igniting the car's engine.

Crystal looked around searching for Ellie. She wanted to give her contact number. She saw her moving to towards a car. “Ellie.” She called out and ran towards her. Ellie stopped immediately as she was about to enter Jake's car. Crystal got to her place, breathing hard. “Hey, calm down.” Ellie urged her as she patted her back slowly. “I wanted to give you my phone number. So when you have a phone, give me a call immediately.” She said and handed a card over to her. Ellie collected and went through it with her eyes. “Okay. Sure.” She answered and dipped in her pockets. “Bye.” She waved her hands at Crystal who stepped back for her. Ellie entered the car and smiled at her. Crystal walked away towards her own car.

“Give the driver the direction.” Jake said to her.

“If I remember clearly, you were like ‘I don't need your ride' the first time I asked you. So tell me, what happened this time?” Jayson asked teasingly. Elsa chuckled with a snort and looked out of the window. “Hey, better give the driver your direction unless you want to follow me to my house.” He taunted and she rolled her eyes at the statement he made. “In your dreams.” She snapped.
