“Since when?” He asked, not looking at her but past Jake's head.

“Huh?” She did not get what he meant.

“I said for how long have you been with him?” He asked, raising his tone a bit.

“Hmm.. I… Ermm…” She stuttered as she looked at Jake.

“I will repeat myself, how long have you been with Jasper?” He asked in a very low dangerous voice.

“Erm… you see… brother… I… erm.. It is not what you are thinking.” She stuttered.

How the hell did he find out?

Then she saw Jace walking towards them.

“Man, you need to take it easy and besides what is with the overprotection?” Jace scoffed and took a seat beside Jake. Jayson turned to him with angry eyes.

“Let's go visit Jasper.” Jake suggested and reluctantly, Jayson stood up and walked past Julia. Jake and Jace who had just come follows him also.

Julia ran after them.

They soon got to the hospital block. They went in and did the necessary procedures before finally heading to Jasper's room.

“Wait, what is his room number?” Jake asked. Jace looked at them and scratched the back of his neck. They had all forgot to ask.

Jace walked back to the receptionist and asked.

“Ward number 112.” She said, typing away on the computer.

“Thanks.” He said and ran towards his friends.

“112.” He pronounced. They all nodded and started walking towards his room. Julia made sure not to walk ahead of her brother and stared nervously at the back of his head. Her heart was beginning to beat like a drum.

They got to Jasper's room and Jace pushed the door and they all went in. They saw Jasper with band aids on his face and arms.

“Oh my goodness.” Julia gasped and ran towards Jasper. She cupped his wounded face in her hands with teary eyes.

“Who did this to you?” She asked with her voice almost breaking.

She slowly turned on heels and stared at Jayson with a murderous look. Before she could talk, he already raised his hands thereby shunning her.

He walked towards Jasper with his hands in his pockets. He closed his eyes tightly and exhaled deeply.

“I am not saying she can't see you or that you are not worthy of having her as a girlfriend but she just eighteen and you are twenty. The age gap…”

“The age gap means nothing bro.” Jeremy cut him off.

“This two love each other but you being the stupid overprotective brother don’t want to see it.” Jace said and snorted.

“I am not against dating her but she is my sister. Anyways, if you dare think of hurting her, I will surely rip your balls off.” He threatened pointing his finger at Jasper. Jasper choked out a chuckle.

“But that does not mean you should not focus on your book.” He glared daggers at Julia. She nodded and turned to look Jasper.

“I'm sorry for hitting you. Just got angered and take care.” He said curtly before exiting the ward.

Julia looked at Jasper with a smile on her face and he managed to smile a little.

“Congrats, bro.” Jace said as he patted Jasper at on his shoulders. Jasper winced a little.

“Oops, sorry.” He apologized.

“Will leave you both.” Jeremy said and dragged Jace along with him.

“Jasper really got the guts.” Jeremy whispered.

“Yeah.” Jace agreed as they ran after Jayson and Jake who had left earlier on.

“Crystal.” Ellie called out as she ran to approach her. Crystal turned around and her lips curved into a smile on seeing who was calling her.

“Hey, babe.” She said gaily.

“Hi.” Ellie said and smiled a little.

“You did not go with us for the camp. I had mistaken your sister to be you.” Crystal said as they walked around. Ellie laughed.

“Elsa is lucky, you know.” Ellie said.

They were both talking about some things when they saw Jayson and Jake laughing and hitting each playfully.

They smiled at the both of them.

“They are really good friends.” Crystal complimented.

“Good? They are best friends.” Ellie corrected while Crystal shook her head in agreement.

“So how was the school when we left?” Crystal asked.

“Normal. All we did was go to library. Eat. Sleep. And do other activities. Well, Jake became my tutor.” She added. Crystal looked at her.

“Really? You asked him?” She asked in disbelief.

“No, not really. We just studied together alongside Aria.” She explained.

“Oh..” Crystal trailed off.

“So you guys have gotten close that much?” She asked while Ellie nodded her head and waved at Jake who was also waving at her. He also waved at Crystal. She smiled and blushed.

Ellie looked at her face and smiled.

“So every girl I know now has a crush on Jake?” She said and smirked at Crystal.

“Don’t be silly. It was all in the past. I gave up when he did not give me attention.” She said and looked away.

“Just joking. I agree he is handsome so it is normal for girls to blush at the simple gestures he makes.” Ellie said.

“Ain’t you tired of walking?” Crystal asked.

“Dummy, we already gotten to the café already.” Ellie said and dragged her in.

**At night**

“You know I still find you and Jayson talking really strange and unbelievable.” Ellie said as she wore her pyjamas.

“Things happen. I know I have always generalized people in my opinion. And also Christian and I are no longer together.” She said and dropped the comb in her hands. Ellie looked at her with surprise on her face.

“You… you are no longer dating?” She asked, taking her gaze away from the mirror to Elsa.

“Yeah, before we resumed.” Elsa said and slumped on the bed. She blew the hair on face away.

“Why?”

“Huh?”

“Why? What was the reason?” Ellie asked as she looked at her sister.

“Just don’t feel like it. And besides, because Jayson and I are friends doesn’t mean my opinion about kids from wealthy family changes. I am just giving him a chance to prove me wrong.” Elsa said. Ellie uttered a silent scoff.

“Never knew a week could do such magic.” Ellie said while Elsa just smiled a bit.

“You know… forget it. I am not as lucky as you are.” She muttered and went to sit on the bed.

“Good night.” Elsa said, putting the blankets over herself.

“Good night.” Ellie mumbled, placing her head on the headboard.
