Chapter 48: Chapter 48

**Four days later**

“Christian, Jayson, Matt, Jake and Jasper will be the one representing us.” The coach announced. They all nodded their in agreement.

“Since tomorrow is the day, go rest and prepare to win.” He urged them. They all smiled tiredly and went to sit down.

“So we will be facing Scholars high tomorrow?” Jeremy asked.

“Yeah.”

“But that does not mean we won't have our practice.” Jace said.

“Bring success to us, Jayson and Jake.” Jeremy said while patting their shoulders. They nodded their head at him.

“Hey, babes.” Julia hollered at the twins. They both looked up from the plate of shrimps that was placed in front of them.

“This extra curriculum activities be taking people time.” She complained as she took her seat.

“Yeah.” They chorused and nodded their head in agreement.

“So, what’s popping?” She said making the ‘pop’ sound.

“Nothing. Just alone.” Ellie said as she tiredly picked a shrimp and ate.

“Have you guys seen the news?” Julia asked.

“News?” They asked with confused faces.

“Yeah. About the new student.” With that said, Elsa hissed out and looked away.

“Huh? What happened?” Julia asked.

“Nothing.” Elsa replied simply.

“Well, why don’t you have a phone, girls? You know, all these things you should know about it.” Julia said. They only stared at her.

“Well, there was another heading that said a week after the twins arrived, they caught the J-Stars attention but just a day that the new handsome, good-looking and well-dressed student, they already attracted him to them. What charms do they use?” She read aloud as she looked at her phone.

“Where was this posted?” Elsa was the first to speak up.

“In the school group chat. More like students group chat.” Julia answered back and took some shrimps.

“Who posted this? Was this supposed to be posted?” Elsa asked almost angrily.

“Elsa, this is a school and you don’t expect it to be as quiet as a graveyard. Rumors will whirl around like wind. They will make headlines. Until you become the popular and the talk of the school.” Julia explained.

Elsa scoffed and said, “Let them say whatever they want to say. I am holding no one.”

“You know. Sometimes I don’t just understand you.” Julia said.

“I am hungry. This shrimps are not enough for me.” Ellie said and stood up. She walked towards the counter leaving Julia and Elsa.

Christian walked into the café and ‘awwnns’ erupted from the girls who were gushing over him. He ignored them all and walked gracefully into the place. He scanned around with his eyes and saw just the table the table he was looking for. He smiled satisfactorily walked to meet Elsa.

“Elsa.” He said. She looked up to him with anger boiling deep inside her.

“What do you want?” She asked gruffly.

“Can I have a seat?” He asked politely.

“As you can see we are already occupied here. Kindly go look for another seat.” Elsa said faking a smile.

“Oh, gosh. This girl is so rude.” Someone said.

“Yeah. Assuming I was the one he talked to, I would have been under him already screaming.” Another purred and Elsa had a look of disgust on her face.

“Oh my gosh, you are a bad girl.” Another said which followed by a fit of laughter.

Everyone shook their heads at the girl's stupid behavior and got back to what they were doing.

Julia cleared her throat. Ellie came back with a tray of food in her hands.

“Oh, hi. Christian.” She greeted him.

“You can sit.” She said again and Christian happily sat down with a look of nervousness.

“Julia, don’t you think we are already plenty here?” Ellie asked signaling to her with her eyes. Julia narrowed her eyes on her and soon got the message passed across.

“Oh, yeah. You know. Two for a table is okay.” She said and hurriedly stood up.

“No.” Elsa said suddenly.

“The only person that would be standing up is Christian and not you or you.” She said, pointing fingers at them.

“But Elsa..” Elsa raised her hands shunning Ellie.

“You can leave.” She said with eyes straightforward.

“Julia, let's go.” Ellie urged her and with the tray in her hands went to sit on another table.

Elsa's eyes kept twitching in anger. She slumped back on the chair without looking at Christian.

The J-Stars came into the café and looked around. They saw that the place was already filled up.

“Man, the place is filled up already. We will come later.” Jace said. As they were about to turn around and leave, a group of students stood up and packed their things, leaving the place for them.

“Thank you.” Jake whispered. They smiled.

They all sat down.

“What will you take?” Jeremy asked.

“Grilled chicken with salad.” Jace said and licked his lips.

“Pasta and sauce with a little salad.” Jasper said.

While Jake and Jayson said, “Some french fries and potato chips.”

“Alright. Jace, come with me.” Jeremy said and Jace followed him.

Jayson turned off his phone and looked around.

“They ain't back yet?” He asked.

“Nope. They left a while ago. Give them some time.” Jasper said. Jayson's eyes caught two people sitting on a table and that gripped his attention.

Elsa and Christian sitting on a table.

“Hey, man. I’m back.” Jeremy announced his presence as they both gently placed the trays in their hands down.

“Thanks, man.” Jake said and picked a spoon.

“Jayson.” Jake called his attention to him as they have started eating but he was still stuck at staring at Elsa and Christian.

He blinked his eyes rapidly and looked at Jake.

“Any problem?” Jake asked and Jayson shook his head negatively.

“Eat up.” Jake said.

Jayson looked at Elsa again and saw her walked out. He sighed and started eating.

“You don’t mean it?” Julia said.

“Yeah, I do.” Ellie said as she drank out of juice.

“So tell what is the relationship between your sister and this new student?” Julia asked after some minutes passes. Ellie stopped doing whatever she was doing and looked at her.

“Ask her yourself. I am in no position to tell you.” She said.

“Wait, don’t tell he is her boyfriend?” Julia asked but Ellie did not answer.
