Chapter 47: Chapter 47
“Since the J-stars came into this school. Other basketball players could not beat them but you. You just came and you already have a draw with them. Tell me, what charm did you use?” Mark asked.
“When you have all it takes to win and you are determined, you will definitely win. I was told you were their captain. Well, I must say that you are not fit to be one as your hatred for them keeps getting in your way of thinking. Always wanting to make them lose.” Christian replied and stepped forward before him. They were now closer.
“Your desire to see them lose was greater than your desire to win.” Christian said and was about to walk away.
Mark chuckled and said, “I don’t care about that. For as long as you are able to beat them hands down.”
“We have no enmity between us.” Christian stated before walking off.
“I don’t think that will last long.” Mark said and smirked.
“J-Stars has finally found their match.” He said and laughed humorlessly.

Crystal and Ellie came out of the dressing room, giggling.
“I never knew something like that could happen, to be honest.” Crystal said amidst laughing.
They threw their bags over their shoulders and bade the rest of the girls bye.
They walked out of the class, still talking and smiling at each other.
“Crystal?” Shawna called out with eyes looking at who she was smiling and talking with — Ellie.
Crystal looked up almost immediately. The smile on her face dropped as soon as she saw that it was Shawna that had called her.
“Hey, Shawna.” She greeted with a fake smile. Shawna faked a smile an d signaled to Ellie to take a leave. Ellie getting the message said, “Hey, crystal, See you later.”
“Okay, bye.” Crystal said.
“What’s your problem?” Crystal asked with a look of anger as they continued walking.
“Since when did you guys become friends?” Tessy asked.
“Does that affect you in any way? And besides I can make friend with whosoever I seem deem fit to be my friend.” Crystal replied.
Shawna narrowed her eyes on her friend but did not utter a word.
“She must have been charmed.” Tessy silently whispered.
Shawna side glanced at her and looked away.
“That’s her problem.” She stated and walked in a different direction.
“Hey, Shawna. Wait up.” Tessy called out and was still trying to call Crystal.
“You..” She ran after Shawna.
“Two stubborn girls.” She scoffed out.
Shawna did not react at all. She only looked forward.

“Did you hear that the J-Stars had a draw with the other team?” A female student whispered to her friend. This got Ellie's attention. She stepped closer to them, trying to eavesdrop on what they were saying.
“Yes. That new student that just arrived yesterday was the team blue's captain and he really did well.” The other agreed.
“Yeah, I think the J-stars finally met their match.”
They both smiled. “He is so handsome.” She cooed.
“Yeah, yeah.” The other mimicked.
“But you don’t know about his academics performance, do you?” Ellie thought aloud as she dropped her book in her locker.
“Christian will be a big problem for the J-Stars.”

Elsa stepped out of the block to go in search of her sister. At that time, Christian had also did. He looked up and saw her.
“Elsa.” Christian called her. She stiffened and increased her pace.
“Elsa.” He called out as he ran after her.
“Yes, yes. How may I help you?” She said almost like yelling.
“What exactly do you want?” She asked out of frustration.
“I told you it is over between us. There is nothing that can happen between us anymore so leave me the fvck alone.” She warned him.
“Elsa, I know that I fvcked up a big time and I am really sorry. Please, forgive me.” He pleaded with her.
“Look here, Christian..” She said and breathed out.
“I have forgiven you a long time ago for what you did. But as for getting back together, it’s a no no for me.” She said shaking her head.
“Elsa, I am sorry. Since that day, I could not stop thinking about you. I realize your worth. I am really sorry. I was ignorant.” Christian begged as he grabbed her hands. She struggled to get her hands away and almost fell down.
“Christian, let this be the first and last time you will ever touch me. You understand?” She asked angrily and walked out.
He dropped his hands and watched her leave.
“I won’t give up.” He thought with determination.
Shawna has been listening to their conversation all this while. As Christian was about to leave, she stepped before him with a smile.
“Hi.” She greeted.
He narrowed his eyes on her and muttered, “hi.”
“Seems you are a new student in the school, I could take you on a tour, you know.” She suggested.
“No, don’t worry. I can find my way.” He said and was about to leave.
“If you need direction, you can just let me know.” She said.
“And I said I can help myself.” He replied again and walked out before she could talk.
“Bad temper.”
“So they are ex?” She thought as she stared at his retreating figure.
“How did she always manage to get all these handsome guys to fall for her?” She thought aloud.
“Maybe if you stop picking at her and mind your business, you might attract to yourself an handsome guy that even more good-looking than Jayson that you are all dying for.” Crystal said as she came to stand beside her friend.
Shawna flinched a bit and turned towards her.
“I thought you already left me.” She said.
“And I thought eavesdropping on someone else's conversation is considered mannerless.” Crystal said in return.
“You..” Shawna said it finding words to put together.
“You just called me mannerless?” She asked in a demanding tone.
“Shawna, know this and know peace. You are no alpha or queen bee of the school. Try to focus more on your academics.” Crystal advised.
“And you know how your parents are quite demanding.” She warned her.
“Never mention my parents. It is my life.” She said turning on her heels and left.
Crystal sighed. She had tried her best. At least.
