Chapter 22: Chapter 22
I am glad that the Queen understands me. But her power looks the same as mine. I already knew the royal witches always have blue magic, which is rare for normal witches. I think Iam one of the rare ones. Queen Victoria’s is much amazing and fantastic than mine. I never know someone has the power to reverse something.
“Hey, Sydney. Did you score well?” Amelia appeared in front of me when Iam out of the room.
“Yeah, it has gone pretty well. I was the one who scored for myself. I will explain it later.” I winked at her. Then she nodded and excitedly went inside with no fear. She seems to be a pretty cool and carefree werewolf. I have got a good wolf roommate.
I came back to the same place where the timetable board was kept. Now I got a magic portion class. So, neither of my friends is my classmate. I need to go alone and make some friends there. After getting my portion book from the dorm room, I walked to my new class absent-mindedly and bumped into someone. I hit my head so hard it hurt.
“Ouch. Iam sorry,” I looked up and wished I could take back my words and curse that person.
“Pamela,” I said those words angrily.
“You are supposed to help the Queen in Talent class,” I said disgustfully. She doesn’t deserve to work as a teacher at all. I don’t want to see her face again but here she is in front of me again and again.
“I asked permission to come out. Anyway, Like I said, I will never forget to have my revenge. I proved it right. You will be here for three years and you will feel sorry that you never met me.” she gave a victorious laugh. I don’t want to look scared and I won’t be.
“Let’s see that. Now I got a class. Move aside, bitch.” I crossed her, tossing my hair back and didn’t look back. I won’t respect her whether she’s a teacher or not.
I don’t care.
I entered the right class and noticed everyone has already settled. The place smelled of some chemicals and can’t able to figure out what Iam smelling. There’s a man in his forties with specs standing and motioned for me to take a seat somewhere. Everyone is sitting with their books. The place has a look like some chemistry lab in the human world. Except for here, the class will differ from Earth.
“Hi, you can sit here if you want to,” a boy kindly offered me. I sat there as all the other seats were full.
“Iam Sebastian and before you can introduce yourself I have to say sorry,” He spoke the moment I opened my book. I don’t understand why he should be sorry when he didn’t even know me.
“Excuse me,” I looked at him, raising my eyebrow. He stayed silent, but his eyes moved to someone who’s sitting next to me. I slowly looked and turned back again to shout at him.
“How dare you, Sebastian?”
“Silence,” the teacher firmly said, looking at me. I shouted at Sebastian because Cassie came to sit next to me. If I knew it before, I would have taken a seat on the ground.
“I asked you, sorry. It’s just for this one day. So, what’s your name?” he asked keenly, looking at his book.
“Iam Sydney,” I said, frustrated.
“Today is the very first day at Sapphire Academy. Iam Christopher, I will teach your portions class for this whole year. As it’s the first day, I will teach you something easy. Turn to page 422. You need to see all the ingredients and find it from the cupboards.” He explained, showing his hands at over ten cupboards.
“There are enough ingredients for everyone. If you got the portion rightly, we can proceed further. If you got any doubt. Feel free to ask me,” he smiled at us.
“It’s a healing potion. Interesting right?” Sebastian said, trying to be friendly with me. But he selfishly makes me sit next to Cassie, the girl everyone’s hate. But she didn’t mind my presence. So, what’s the problem?
“Yes, it’s interesting. Do you know how to do it?” I replied calmly.
“Yup. I know some of these ingredients.” he showed his book to me, which is marked with pen marks many times.
“Did you already study it?”
“Yes,”
“No discussion,” Christopher said to us by lifting his hands. Some white light appeared in between us, making an invisible shield to maximize the distance.
“No Offense. I will do it myself,”
“Okay. Now, this healing portion will heal any injury in your body. But it will only work if the injury is small. The first work is to learn the information and ingredients of the whole portion.” he said, pacing around the class slowly.
Iam good at learning so it’s not a problem at all. After some minutes of silence, every ingredient needed for the portion stored in my mind.
“Iam done with this. Can I proceed?” I asked Christopher at first.
“Sure. Whoever finished can proceed now,”
“Show off,” I heard someone’s voice near me.
“Iam not showing off anything,” I glared at Cassie, who talked with me for the first time. I hated her since the moment she treated Leona badly when the fault was on her. Now she finally talking with me.
She didn’t continue the conversation but stood up, walking towards the cupboard to take the ingredients. Everyone bowed to her and moved aside.
“Why are you looking at her like you want to kill her?” Sebastian muttered near my ear.
“Iam not. Am I? “I questioned. I can’t figure out why am I feeling like I have some vengeance when it comes to Cassie. Do I know her? It can’t be. But I have never been angry with anyone for a reason. She may be hard to others, but she did nothing to me. Then why am I feeling like she’s my long last enemy. Iam going crazy each and every day.
“Come on. Don’t stand like a lost kid in a crowd.” Sebastian grabbed my arm, and we both took a necessary bottle, portion glass, some herbs. It’s easy to find everything except one thing.
“Sebastian, I can’t find the lavender liquid. Did you get it?”
“Nope. Because everyone already got in before us.” he scratched his head and looked at Christopher, who approached us.
“I already said there are enough ingredients for everyone. You need to search again,” he simply said and walked away.
“Duh... no one is helping us,” I complained and looked at the last cupboard, which was almost empty.
“Almost is never enough. No use in searching this,” I searched while complaining to myself. Luckily, I spotted a small blue bottle named ‘Lavender’. I got it. Who stupidly poured the Lavender liquid into a bluebottle? I touched the small bottle and felt its coldness from outside.
No, the bottle is not cold, Iam feeling something colder in my hands.
“Get your hands off this bottle.” I felt Cassie’s icy presence next to me. It’s her hands. This is the last liquid in the cupboard and who’s going to take it now? It’s me or her.
Oh god, I never thought there will be a problem with the princess for a portion.
