Chapter 23: Chapter 23
She removed her hands from mine and wiped her hands with her handkerchief like she touched some dirt.
“I expected you to bow down. Well, you didn’t. Never mind, just give me the liquid.” Why she’s thinking I will give it to her? She can be a princess, but I don’t mind it.
“I won’t,” I crossed her, tossing my hair back.
“How dare you?” She shouted.
“Don’t you know any other words than ‘How dare you?’ It’s boring just change it,” I imitated her voice and chuckled a little without control. I sat next to Sebastian again.
“You should have not talked like that. She will go mad,” he advised me while seeing the liquid.
“Whatever. Now, what will you do without the Lavender essence?”
“You saw the description right. Half of the bottle is enough per person. We can share it.” he opened it and poured half of it in his bottle without waiting for my reply.
“Um... okay,”
“Now everybody give your books and do it on your own. I hope you all remember in which order you should make the portion?” Christopher said, taking all our books to his desk.
I got such a good memory. I mixed all the herbs, other ingredients in order and stirred it. At least it’s time for the liquid. If I can do this right, I will score well. Then I heard someone’s pleading voice near me.
“Please princess, we two can share this liquid. Don’t mind that silly girl, I will share with you,” a boy pleaded to Cassie, and he mentioned me as silly.
“I don’t have a habit of sharing with anyone,” she snapped and glared at me. I turned away like I never heard them. I was about to pour the liquid suddenly the whole portion pot exploded. For a moment all I see is some blue light and when I open my eyes everything is messed up in my class except for the liquid which Iam holding in my hands. I looked at Cassie, whose hands were lifted up and there’s a spark of some blue light visible in her hand. For a second, she was talking with that boy. The next moment, the explosion happened. She’s the reason for it. I tried hard to do this. I can’t reverse it back.
“YOU DID IT!” I shouted loudly. Everyone’s eyes in on me.
“If you can’t do this, you should have told me. Why did you mess with everything? Now you should clean it all. I won’t score you at all,” Christopher yelled at me madly.
“No... I didn’t. She…”
“Stop talking. Clean it up or get out,” He shouted from his throat. Now I can’t get out. No one is believing me. Cassie’s the reason for my failure. What did I do to her? She’s such a crazy person. Right now, I need to calm down the professor.
“Wait, I will clean it up. Just give me time. I will do it again and prove to you it’s not my fault,” I pleaded with him, but the professor doesn’t seem convinced.
“It’s not her fault, Professor. She did everything right. Just give her some time,” Sebastian helped me. I think the professor knew him already. He only calmed down after hearing Sebastian.
“There’s only fifteen minutes remaining for this class to get over. Do it before that or I can’t do anything,” He ordered me and left.
“Oh, my... now I don’t have a damn idea how to do it again within fifteen minutes. It already took me thirty minutes to do this. How can I...” I panicked and closed my face with my hands. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder.
“I know Cassie did that. It’s difficult to make it again, but I will help you clean it up,” Sebastian assured me, which is not helping at all. I want to do this again.
“If I could reverse it all, I would have done something different,” I muttered. I would have avoided sitting next to Sebastian. That’s the least I can do.
“Reverse... reverse...” he murmured the words again and again.”
“What?”
“I know a spell to reverse it, but Cassie or the royal family can only do that. It’s difficult for others. It needs more practice.”
“Then tell me please, I will try it.”
“I said it needed practice,” he stressed those words.
“PLEASE,” I shouted those words getting more attention from other witches.
“Cool down. I will tell you but if you can’t do it. Promise me, you will clean it up,” He waited for my reply.
“I will. Now tell,”
“Αντίστροφη. Say it three times,” he spoke something I don’t understand. I just repeated it, closing my hands and concentrating on it fully, feeling my power which is radiating through my body to my hands and finally I opened my eyes. The broken pot is moving very slowly. For a second, I lost my concentration when I realized it’s working.
“Don’t get distracted. Do it. Do it.” he urged me and I got in control again. After minutes everything slowly went back to itself and I fell down on the ground, losing the strength to stand.
“Oh god. You didn’t tell me you have some blur powers. I never saw anyone with these powers except for the Royal family,” Sebastian, astonishingly told. I got up, realizing the time is going to be over. I added the last liquid and called the professor loudly.
“You finished it...” he asked with a wide-open mouth.
“Yep,”
“Let’s see whether it’s ....”
“I get it. I get it,” I hurriedly took a knife and lightly made a slight cut on my palm without hesitation. But in my urgency, I cut my palm a little deeper. Without caring about it, I drank the portion and looked at my hands.
The injury vanished within moments. My pain in my palm also decreased within minutes. The pain wasn’t that hard. But I feel like I already felt something much worse than that. For a second, this class and Academy felt similar.
“Wow, you did it. You can go now. You got full marks,” Professor said, still with a wide-open mouth.
“Thanks, Bash.” I winked at Sebastian and looked back at Cassie.
“You are not the only one with blue magic.” with that word I left the class without even taking my book from Professor’s desk.
When I happily got out again, I saw Jacen leaning over the wall. I walked over to him but got stuck in the same place when I realized he’s holding the hands of a girl. It’s not Amelia or Leona. She’s someone new, and I never met her. The next moment, she kissed him and I felt something so heartbroken. Why Iam a feeling like this? Jacen’s my friend and...
I can’t able to think about anything. My heartbeat gets louder, and I took a step backwards. I may not know about his true character. Is it his type to kiss every girl? I thought Iam something special to him. He cared a lot about me and he even kissed me. He’s my first kiss and what if for him it means nothing?
“Who the hell are you?” I heard a loud voice that broke them apart, but the voice didn’t belong to anyone but me.
