Chapter 20: Chapter 20
“Hey meet my new friends. This is Amelia,” I introduced her to Jacen and Noah once we were out of the dorm room.
“Meet Jacen and Noah,” I added. After a little chitchat and making fun of Cassie Hale, we walked to the main hall. No one is settled in their chairs. They are many first-year students and the hall is big enough to have every student in the Academy. We made our way through the crowd and spotted many empty seats.
“Let’s go, fast,” Noah urged us and looked like he wants to run the hell out of the Academy.
“What’s wrong with you?” I asked, standing in the same place. But I found what’s bothering him within seconds. Cassie Hale is standing a few steps away from us, waving at Noah. She’s in a brand-new expensive gown, just like I saw her for the first time. So much jewellery and make-up hide her true face and makes it look like everything’s a glamour. He uncomfortably waved back. The day he talked with her without intentions. But she still remembers him.
Poor Noah.
Cassie absent-mindedly walks while waving at Noah. She knocked a girl down without seeing. The girl is got to be a vampire. She’s in a red uniform.
“Keep your eyes straight. How dare you have the courage to carelessly hit me?” She snapped while Cassie’s the one who walked stupidly.
“You are the one who...” the blonde vamp girl tried to shout back, but she was interrupted by my two guns pointing at her by Cassie’s bodyguard. Seriously, is everyone going insane?
“You know what, you can’t raise your voice against me.” Cassie simply said, looking at her long nails, which are painted in blue nail polish. That girl showed her fangs for a second and controlled herself by not making this scene much worse. But she is glaring at her with anger.
“Ask sorry or you will face some consequences till the year ends. You know I can do anything.” Cassie smirked, and the gun is still pointed at the girl. The gun won’t kill her, but it hurts her.
“CASSIE,” a voice raised from somewhere. That’s when I spotted the two thrones where Victoria Hale and Peter are seated. The voice belongs to Victoria, who looked elegant, gorgeous, and whatnot. She’s still calm but seeing her look, Cassie left the place and sat next to Victoria in the front. I walked over to the girl after Cassie and her bodyguard left.
“No need for help. Iam good. Thank you,” she got up in frustration. Her eyes are red and veins are still shown in her eyes, which are vanishing slowly.
“Don’t mind her. She’s such a stupid princess,” Jacen commented.
“I know that. She must be a rich idiot since her birth. She spoiled my mood on the very first day.” the girl spoke frustratedly and rubbed the dirt off her dress.
“The day’s not spoiled. Come with us. Change your mood,” I cheered her up and smiled a little.
“Sure. Iam Leona Lewis,” she shook my hand and after introducing us I felt like I got friends before the classes begin. The hall went silent when Queen Victoria stood up and everyone got settled in their place. Queen Victoria took the mic to talk.
“Welcome to Sapphire Academy. Iam happy that you all first-year students joined here. Iam not going to talk for hours cause it’s already late. Your time-tables board is on the corridor next to this hall. Get a Pamphlet before going. It has a map of this Academy. You should not go to the place which is marked as restricted. Other than that, you can find your classes, common study room, library, garden, physical training room, etc... There are many interesting things to do here. I hope you all have your crystals with you.”
I touched my side pocket in my skirt. That’s where I kept my Crystal. Iam feels like Iam getting some unknown power or energy whenever I touch it.
“First, me and my sister Dorothy will conduct the talent class. The class will only be conducted once a week and it will help you find and stimulate your power. Every day, class will start at midnight and no one should roam the Academy in the morning. I assure you, you will love every class, plus there are someplace just for your enjoyment in the Academy. I don’t what to break that now, but I will tell you. A class will be conducted twice a week where you will take to see many mythical creatures like dragons, unicorns, Pegasus and much more. That session will be the best moment in this Academy and ....” She trailed off when a woman stood up and approached the mic. That’s got to be Queen Victoria’s sister. She’s not looking kind like the Queen, but so unlikable in the very first beginning. She isn’t supposed to stop Queen’s speech.
“Hello students, I think you all heard the Queen’s speech. Now, at last, let me introduce the Witch princess, Cassie Hale,” she clapped for her while others staring blankly and not wanting to do clap for Cassie. I really hate to mention her like a princess. But Dorothy glared at us angrily when their no response from the crowd. Everyone started clapping unwillingly after hesitation.
“Iam not going to clap. Queen’s sister is insane,” I whispered to Jacen, who is also not clapping but holding my hands from the moment we took a seat in the hall.
“She doesn’t deserve the claps. I will clap for her if she runs out of Slateville,” Jacen said and I noticed Amelia, Leona and Noah were sitting quietly, just like me.
The Queen looked angry for the first time. It’s quite understandable that she’s angry at Dorothy, who interrupted her. Dorothy is caring for Cassie than Queen Victoria, who is their parents. But Queen and Cassie’s faces are not even matching a little. I wish they might have adopted her. She doesn’t deserve to be a royal Heir.
“Okay, students. Now you can go to your respective classes. We got so much time to discuss our Academy advantages.” Queen ended her speech with that and walked away.
