“Hey. What are you doing in her room?” Noah asked once he got a view of his brother in my room.
“Nothing. He came here to tell me I can go to Sapphire Academy.” I explained before Jacen made a move to tell that.
“But I wanted to tell you first. Anyway, the guide has arrived.” Noah told with irritation that his brother ruined his plan. Now, the guide has arrived. I should get ready as soon as I can. I’m going to purchase books for Academy. I take a minute to believe everything I wanted is happening right before my eyes. If I have known this before, I won’t be worried at all for the whole day.
“Fine. Now both go out. I need to get ready.” I said, pointing hands at Jacen to wait outside. I’m beyond excited about joining the academy in just two days. Noah obeyed me and got out.
“Okay, baby.” Jacen unexpectedly kissed my cheek and got outside, smiling. OMG. I should tell you that Iam really affected by his touch. Why did he kiss me? I closed the door to hide my blush. I don’t know what’s Jacen doing to me but sometimes I feel like I want to go to Academy just to be with Jacen. My thoughts of becoming a witch like Lydia come after this. Anyway, everything in my life is perfect and I need to enjoy the flow of it.
Half an hour later, I came to the hall to see a young lady formally dressed like going for an interview, sitting next to Nina on the couch.
“She is Alice. She’s going to be your guide for today’s Academy purchases.” Nina introduced her. She gave a polite smile.
“Nice to meet you, Alice.” I returned the smile and waited for her to talk.
“Nice to meet you, too. Now you three follow me. This day is not going to be long but I assure you that you will enjoy purchases for the Academy purpose.” she kindly told and he followed her to her car or maybe it will be the car provided by the Academy. I heard the Sapphire Academy has many advantages.
“I forgot about one thing. I don’t have money. How am I going to join there?” I asked Jacen suddenly. Is Nina paying for me or my aunt will pay later after her return? I can’t let them pay for me.
“Nina will be paying for us. You don’t need to worry about the money.” Jacen assured me it’s nothing. But it matters to me. I can’t let them pay for me. If I can’t pay now, I will do it once I finish these three academic years.
“But you don’t need to do that. I will ask my aunt by myself.” I resisted. I know my aunt will be busy with her work, but I need to ask her by myself about this.
“No. You will not pay. We already paid, Sydney.” Noah shocked me by his words. How did they do everything overnight? My life is an example of things changing overnight.
Then I entered the car and took a seat near the window but when I turned around, both of them weren’t entering. They are glaring at each other and Jacen took a seat next to me while Noah seats on the other side. I don’t like being seated in the middle. Whatever, I can’t ask for a window seat behaving like a kid.
“I think Iam forgetting your names, can you say it again? As a guide, I should remember your name.” Alice asked once the car started. We introduced ourselves again and kept on talking with her like she is not just a guide to us, but our friend.
“This place is fabulous. I need a whole day to explore it.” I said once Iam out of the car. At the entrance, there is a large board ‘Sapphire Academy purchases’. This academy even owns a place for purchasing. There are many girls and boys just like us wandering with their guides. Many shops are built in order on both the left and right sides. A man over the entrance is giving some pamphlets to everyone. We there got the pamphlet but Alice is thorough with the whole pamphlet so we don’t even need it.
“The crucial thing before going to the Academy is choosing a lucky crystal.” Alice began. We are here to buy books, so what’s the need for crystals.
“Aren’t we here to buy books?” I questioned, without even letting her explain.
“Yes, but crystals are important for everyone. Sapphire Academy is the best Academy for all the students and the most competitive and complicated ones too. So, everyone needs to choose their lucky charm crystals. You may think that’s silly, but in case of any danger it will protect you.”
What type of danger are we going to face? I thought Pamela was the only problem now she’s gone too. Other than that, I consider nothing that has danger. The vision of the minotaur came to my mind, but I know I killed it. So, I can do it again if I need to face it.
“There will be some difficult practical challenges, and there may be a chance of losing your life. Don’t worry, you are not going to die, but some incidents will happen in duals and other tests which you will come across later. So, these crystals will protect you. Can we proceed now?” Alice specifically looked at me cause Iam looking so nervous. I don’t know about the challenge Iam going to face but Iam ready to do it. I wished for it, and I can’t step back from it. If these crystals can protect me, I don’t need to be afraid.
“Okay, show me those crystals.” I bravely said, not overthinking about it.
“Iam glad to do that. This is the shop we are going to find the perfect lucky Crystals for the three of you.” Alice pointed her hands at a beautifully architectures store with some crystal images on outside posters.
I need to find the right ones for me, which is going to protect me for the rest of the years.
