From there in the carriage I watched them Lina and captain Jared talking. They were so far away from me that I couldn't hear what they were talking about but I noticed in Lina's eyes the emotions I had never seen in her eyes. Lina turned her back on captain Jared before walking away from him, I even saw captain Jared step forward as if he was going to stop Lina but he also stopped immediately and let Lina go.
Somehow, it hurts me to watch them. I don't know what's going on between the two of them but I know that their conversation didn't go well especially when our carriage started moving and Lina was quiet the whole trip to Bauxacel.
"Don't ask" said Lina, not taking her eyes off the carriage. He knew it must be hard for me to ask him what he and Captain Jared had talked about earlier. I just sighed and restrained myself from asking any more questions.
I just focused my attention on our trip and what could happen when I return to Bauxacel. Before I left people thought I was dead because I suddenly disappeared. What would be the reaction of the people that Alissa Knoxx whom they thought was dead would suddenly appear as a princess of the first rank of another kingdom?
"So what's the plan?" Trevas breaks into the silence that envelops the interior of the carriage. We have been traveling for almost four hours but it seems that Bauxacel is still far away because I can only see mountains and forests around.
"Do you have a plan for what you will do when we arrive in Bauxacel?" continued Trevas.
"I plan to clean up the Knoxx last name first before I take out all the stench of the royal family"
"And how exactly are you going to do that?"
"Secret"
"What?" Trevas, who had earlier peeked out of the carriage window, suddenly turned to me. "Secret?"
I just smiled at him. I knew that if I told him what I was planning, he would not let me.
Trevas' mouth opened and he was about to speak but Lina, who had been silent for a while, preceded him.
"Am I the only one wondering why king hermes suddenly wants to see you?" hermes is the name of the king of Bauxacel.
“Didn't all the people of Bauxacel think you were dead? Maybe only now did that king find out that he was alive. ” said Trevas, forgetting what we were talking about earlier.
“I doubt that” I said. "It's impossible that Luke didn't tell his father about me when he returned to Bauxacel a few months ago."
"Then why did he just act now to get you back to Bauxacel?" I shrugged.
"Maybe now that there is a Threekingdom alliance ceremony that will be held, he just had a reason to bring you back to Bauxacel." said Trevas so I nodded. That may be the reason, but as far as I know of Luke's race, they are the type of people who will kidnap me if they really want me back to Bauxacel and they won't wait for a good reason there like Trevas said.
"Speaking of which, you haven't explained to us what's in that threekingdom alliance ceremony" said Lina.
The threekingdom alliance ceremony is held whenever three or more kingdoms have agreed to form an alliance with each other but that alliance can only be ratified once the week -long ceremony itself is over.
On the first day of that week was the arrival of representatives from other kingdoms at the agreed venue of the ceremony. In our case, it was agreed to hold the ceremony in Bauxacel.
On the second and third days of the week, the representatives who have come from distant lands are extended to rest, but on the fourth day, the ceremony itself begins. There will be grand balls and parties at the Bauxacel palace that will last until the seventh day of the week.
On the eve of the seventh day is the performance of a ritual between the three kingdoms. It will also be like an Infragilis Vow that will be performed but the only difference is that it is for three people and what depends on it is not only the life of those three people but the life of an entire kingdom.
"Ah, Finally!" Lina strained as she got out of the carriage. We are now here opposite the large and high gate of the Bauxacel borders. This gate was open and there were royal soldiers lined up there as if really waiting for our arrival.
"We, people of the Bauxacel welcome you crown prince Trevas, Princess Lina, Princess Alissa of the first rank" at the same time greeted the lined royal soldiers before bowing in respect. I was surprised at first because I wasn’t used to being called a princess and greeted like this but I didn’t notice that on my face and just stayed calm.
"Why are you blocking our way?" Trevas asked seriously. His face had no emotion but his looks were scary so the royal soldiers in front of us were immediately confused.
"Apologies your highness, we're just here to escort you to the manor you will be staying at for the rest of your stay here in the kingdom of Bauxacel" Trevas didn't speak and just nodded. I noticed that the knees of the other royal soldiers were shaking and I couldn't help but smile. Even the Trevas staff who are with us now I noticed that I also refrained from laughing. You can't blame us because Trevas has a different attitude towards the enemy and his attitude when he talks to us.
"Lead the way" said Trevas and they took us to a big manor where we will live temporarily.
The manor where we live is in a secluded place and very few people live here because apart from being protected by the royal guards, the whole place is growing, the manors here are growing and only rich and powerful people can buy them.
"I didn't expect king hermes to welcome you to‘ tin in such a grand way "said Lina while staring at the large and beautiful buildings inside the manor. The manor itself is spacious, with a large garden, man made lake, and about ten total number of buildings.
"Don't be so sure… I have a strong feeling that the king of Bauxacel put us here so that he can monitor our every move" said Trevas.
That’s right, since royal soldiers surround this area as safety measures there are many eyes and ears watching over us. I seem to have a hard time acting and carrying out my plans.
"So we have to be careful with everything we say and do because we don't know if anyone is listening to our conversation, just like now" Trevas whispered so I looked around and my eyes widened when I saw a royal soldier guarded with the gate ofmanor and looked in our direction but he also immediately averted his gaze when our eyes met.
"Don't look at him, I'm jealous" Trevas said so I turned my gaze to him again. I couldn’t help but smile and shudder.
"Seriously?" I stared at him but the smile still lingered on my lips.
We had three days to rest before the grand ball which will be held every night for four days before the alliance ritual itself but instead of resting we agreed to go to one of the most popular shopping districts in Bauuxacel to buy clothes to wear. -suotfor the grand ball. We weren't able to prepare much because we didn't know that we had to attend four grand balls.
“May I ask where are you going your highness?” asked the guard guarding the outside of the manor we were staying in when he saw us coming out.
"In the shopping district" was Trevas's frugal answer before I was allowed to get on the carriage parked in front of the gate.
“Please allow us to escort you for safety measures-”
"No need" trevas interrupted what the guard was saying. "I have my own people to protect me"
When we went here to Bauxacel, we were accompanied by a hundred Trevas staff as protection in case something bad happened.
The royal soldier did nothing, especially when Trevas looked at him seriously. We took five of Trevas' staff to accompany us to the shopping district, we didn't want to be distracted because of the number of guards with us so we only agreed on five.
The carriage in which Trevas and Lina and I were riding started while Trevas' five men on horseback followed us.
When we got to the Shopping district I couldn’t help but be amazed. The buildings are rising here and the road is very wide with carriages driven by various animals.
Yes, I grew up here in Bauxacel but I have never been to this shopping district because I was rare when I went out of Knoxx manor because I had no friends other than Lina who was my personal maid.
It took us a few hours to shop just because of which shop Lina wanted to enter, we went to a jewelry shop, flower shop, furnitures, weapons and whatnot but we couldn't stop her because now Lina is making noise again. quiet since they lasttalking to Captain Jared.
After a few hours of recalling back to the shops it was finally over, we also sold the ones we needed.
I sat down on a bench on the side of the road and gasped for breath, the pain in my foot because we had been walking for a while. Trevas stepped aside from me before handing one of his five men the shopping bag he was holding.
"Where's Lina?" I asked when I couldn't see him.
"Nag CR" Trevas said before leaning on the bench and stretching his arm to lean. I nodded before leaning back and putting my head on his arm but I suddenly sat up straight when I saw a woman.
"What is it?" Trevas asked when he noticed my gesture. Instead of speaking, I stood up and went in the direction where I saw the familiar woman. I did not take my eyes off the woman and quickly followed her.
