Chapter 24: Chapter 24
Chapter 23
I didn't know where I was going so I decided to go back to Lina and I's tent to prepare for our return to Beifang tomorrow. But I knew in my heart that I was not only using what I had to prepare for our return but myself because no one knew what could happen now to Trevas to ensure the appointed heir to the throne.
I don't know how the ministers and generals will react when they find out that the 'demon' prince they recognize and not the 'supposed' real son of the king will be their next leader and add Trevas' demonic mother for sure was furious when he found out he had defeated his favorite son Alastor.
I suddenly stopped walking when I suddenly remembered Alastor. Is that still alive?
*
In the middle of the forest, on the branch of a large tree, a man was hanging upside down and he was very close and his face was red because he had been hanging from the tree for several hours.
"Aren't they coming back yet Chief Alaric?" a barbarian man asked his companion who was with him guarding the hanging Alastor.
"I don't know, no one is sending a signal yet" a man turned to Alastor before shaking his head.
"Maybe it's going to die" said a man before pointing at Alastor but before those with him could speak again they heard footsteps and they realized that they were surrounded by ten mages and wizards.
"Who are you?" the two men asked.
"Soldiers from the kingdom of Beifang" replied a man who probably had the highest rank in the sampo.
Alastor suddenly breathed a sigh of relief when he heard the word ‘Beifang’ because he was finally safe. Who was looking for him? His queen mother? Or his father the king himself? He doubted that it was Trevas who was looking for him because apart from the fact that they were enemies, he had a strong feeling that Trevas had been dead for a long time because of the onslaught of the barbarians but he was surprised by what he said next when the man he thought would save him.
“We are here under the command of General Trevas. Our camp has already defeated your camp so you have no choice but to surrender ”said the man before trying to handcuff the two barbarians. They even tried to struggle and fight to escape but they had nothing against Trevas' ten men so they did nothing but surrender.
"No ..." Alastor whispered when he realized that Trevas had won the war and he was sure that he was the winner of the battle that took place. What will his queen mother say? What will happen to him now that Trevas will actually be the permanent crown prince?

Alissa ”
I suddenly woke up when I heard Lina call me. I close my eyes for a moment before I marealize what is happening.
Lina was sitting on my bed and smiling at me which surprised me.
"What's up?" I asked in a rather hoarse voice because I just woke up. I got up and my eyes narrowed because of the sunlight coming from the sun. I rolled my eyes before yawning and stood up while stretching.
"I just don't want to wake you up" Lina said before taking a mirror and combing her hair.
I stopped stretching and doubtfully looked at him. I rarely see Lina combing her hair because apart from the fact that she's not the type to fix it, she doesn't care even if her hair is loose.
"Seriously what's up?" I asked him before walking closer to the luggage on the floor that we had prepared last night for our return to Beifang tomorrow.
"Nothing, just Feeling inspired" Lina said laughing before hiding the mirror and combing that I was the owner because she didn't have her own comb.
“Feeling inspired? Why? Jared wants something from you too? ” Lina suddenly calmed down and I seem to have a hunch why.
"Of course not"
"What did you like about that damn thing?" I asked because until now I was still thinking about why she liked that man.
"I don't know either, as long as when I first saw him in the palace I knew he really was" Lina said laughing before standing next to me and helping me pack our clothes.
“In the palace? Did you first meet at the palace? ” I will ask. If my memory is correct we were already here in camp when I first saw Lieutenant Jared.
"Oh, do you remember the first day Trevas took us to the palace?" Lina asked.
I stopped what I was doing and remembered the first day we went to the palace, that was the time when the ministers and generals were in the middle of the meeting with the king and queen but Trevas just came in and took me with him. Now that I think about it, Lina wasn't next to me then because she said she saw a handsome royal guard.
I suddenly looked at Lina. "He's the handsome royal guard you saw before?"
Lina laughed. "At first I thought he was just a royal guard but I didn't think he had a high rank but I don't care if he's just a royal guard or a general as long as I like him"
"You're crazy" I whispered before continuing to pack.
"It's as if you haven't experienced liking someone" Lina said laughing but I didn't immediately shut up because I suddenly remembered the memories I thought I had buried in oblivion. Yes, I experienced wanting but it only caused me pain so I tried to lock and fence my heart so that I would never experience it again.
"Get ready, Infragilis Vow will be performed for Luke and Alaric later" said Lina before walking out of the tent.
The infragilis vow is a kind of promise in which whoever breaks that promise will suddenly feel sick and seem to be eaten by some insect inside his body before gradually dying. We agreed yesterday at the meeting to perform the infragilis vow with Luke and Alaric to make sure they don’t sow terror while they stay in the Beifang kingdom.
After I put all of Lina and I's clothes in the trunk, I closed it before pressing a button on the very handle of the trunk and at the same time it suddenly lit up and gradually disappeared and the only thing left on the floor was a bracelet that is the color of the luggage and at the bottom of the bracelet there is also a button that will return him to being luggage.
I put on the magical bracelet before I got dressed and walked out of the tent and as soon as I came out the mages and wizards appeared to me who were ready to return to the kingdom in their respective homes.
I walked to the very center of the camp where a campfire is often lit for cooking food but not the campfire is found here now but a stage platform made of concrete and there they stood Luke, Alaric, Trevas, lieutenant Jared, Sergeant Min , Colonel Jay and Lina on the edge of the stage.
There were many people around the stage platform, whether from Beifang or Bauxacel and they were here to witness the swearing in of Luke and Alaric.
"Everyone here today witnesses the oath of the crown prince of the kingdom of Bauxacel Luke and the leader of the virgoths barbarians Alaric" said Sergeant Min who signaled the beginning of the infragilis vow.
Sergeant Min said a lot more but I didn't understand that because the memories kept flowing in my brain that I tried to bury in oblivion but I only remembered those memories even more when Luke and Sergeant Min held their wrists. which is the first step in making the infragilis vow.
~ Flashback ~
"Do you know what the Infragilis vow is?" 10 year old Alissa asked 11 year old Luke. They were now at the top of one of the palace towers and from there they could clearly see the whole kingdom of Bauxacel.
"It's a promise, and if one of the performers of that ceremony violates their agreed promise, he will feel severe pain before he gradually dies" Luke told him seriously while not taking his eyes off the setting sun.
Alissa turned to Luke and she couldn't help but stare at his gentle face that seemed to be shining because of the yellow orange light coming from the setting sun but she also suddenly looked away when Luke suddenly turned around.
"Do you want us to try the Infragilis vow?" Luke asked Alissa for a reason to turn her around again.
"Can you do that?" Alissa asked in her sharp voice.
Luke nodded before taking Alissa's hand and holding her by the wrist and Alissa did the same to him.
"What do you want to promise?" Alissa frowned before biting her lip as if thinking deeply about what she really wanted to promise.
"I want you to promise that you will never forget me and you will never betray me" said Alissa.
Luke paused for a moment before nodding. "Repeat after me"
"I ..."
"I ..." Alissa repeated what Luke said.
Luke Bauxacel
"Luke Bauxacel" Luke suddenly smiled before laughing. "Your name is what you say, not mine"
Alissa nodded and laughed as well.
"Let's repeat ... I ..." Luke said.
"I ..."
Luke Bauxacel
"Alissa Knoxx"
“Is pledging my loyalty”
“Is pledging my loyalty”
"To you" Alissa smiled. “To you”
"And I will never betray you"
"And I will never betray you"
"Even if you misunderstand the truth" Luke said as a reason to frown at Alissa.
"It doesn't seem to be with that" Luke just laughed before looking back at the sun but he could hardly see it because it was covered by a mountain.
"Is it really Infragilis vow we made or are you just fooling me?" Alissa asked before peering into Luke's face as her hands rested on top of the balustrade.
"What do you think?"
“It’s not” I whispered to myself before looking back at the stage where the Infragilis vow is currently being performed between Luke and Sergeant Min.
