Chapter 25: Chapter 25

Chapter 24

When I was a kid I thought it was really Infragilis Vow what Luke and I did there on the rooftop of the Bauxacel palace but I was wrong. In the end, he still betrayed me but he didn't die like he should have if we did Infragilis Vow.

"And I will never betray you" said Sergeant Min who was imitated by Luke "And I will never betray you"

“And The kingdom of Beifang”

“And the kingdom of Beifang”

"No matter what happens"

"No matter what happens"

Sergeant Min nodded and was about to release from the grip on Luke's wrist when Luke suddenly spoke again. "Even if you still misunderstand the truth"

"What?" Sergeant Min asked in astonishment and even Trevas and the others who heard looked at Luke in astonishment and so did I but I was the only one who suddenly felt his chest throb.

"Nothing" Luke said before looking at the people and he looked right in my direction so our eyesight was right. He immediately averted his eyes and I was stunned by the absence. What was that?

--

The Infragilis Vow ceremony ended without me being aware of it and finally the whole camp marched back to the palace but until now what Luke said earlier still echoes in my brain.

I was shaken and forced to forget all that and focus on the present. So what if he remembered the infragilis vow we made when we were kids? The fact that he was one of the causes of the ruin of my life could not be changed then.

Our trip to the palace was peaceful even though we were with the barbarians and Luke's men because they didn't make a fuss because apart from the large number of Trevas' men, we also held their leaders. Luke and Alaric peacefully mingling with us.

Trevas and I were in the front lines, the other three generals, Lina and behind the six of us were Luke and Alaric and we were both riding horses.

"I have a question" I said to Trevas before walking the white horse I was riding towards him.

"Hmm?"

"Can you change your appearance?" I asked because I was still curious yesterday when they fought with Luke.

Trevas suddenly turned to me and looked at me as if my question was stupid. "You do not know?"

"Would I ask if I knew?" I stared at him and he laughed.

"As you saw yesterday in our fight with Luke, the ultimate skill of a light and dark user is to transform"

"Really?"

"Isn't the Ice user the same?" Trevas asked as my eyes widened.

“The ice, Dark, and light element is the rarest element of all because you can't get that element if neither of your parents has non. Those three are also recognized as the strongest elements because only those with ice, dark, and light elements can change form. The light user is able to transform into an angel, the dark user is able to transform into a demon and the ice user is- “

"Able to transform into a butterfly" I continued what he was saying.

Trevas nodded. "Not just a pharaoh pharaoh, you can transform into a Goddess of butterflies"

I suddenly stopped and frowned when I looked at the emptiness but I was even more confused by what Trevas said next. "I don't know much about ice users because you were the first ice user since Psyche suddenly disappeared"

"Psyche?" Who's that?

“I don't know much about him because I was only 3 years old when the news of his disappearance was announced. Psyche is also known as the goddess of butterflies ”

Goddess of butterflies?

‘Anna?’

Anna didn't answer, causing me to frown.

‘Anna?’ I called again.

‘Don’t ask me, I won’t answer your questions’

‘Aren’t you the Goddess of Butterflies?’ I asked despite her warning.

I heard him sigh but he did not answer my question.

‘Who is Psyche?’ I asked again but like my previous question he did not answer. I would have asked him more questions and tickled him until he admitted the truth but suddenly my attention returned to the present when I could see the rising wall of the capital of Beifang where the palace is located in the very center.

I lost track of what I had asked Anna earlier when the gates of the capital opened and we were exposed to people who were probably waiting for the return of whoever could catch the leader of the barbarians but they didn't seem happy to see who is the winner and will be appointed heir to the throne.

Everything was quiet as we walked in the middle of the wide road to the big gate of the palace. The reaction of the people when they met Trevas was different from the reaction I used to have when papa returned from the war when he was still alive. People shouted loudly and their smiles were wide as they greeted their defender general, the opposite of the reaction of the people when they saw Trevas was at the very front line.

I turned to Trevas and saw how he reacted but nothing changed in him and also quietly started the horse he was riding in the middle of the deafening silence around. I rested deeply as I watched Trevas's back because he was ahead of me and I couldn't help but be upset and sad because of the way people treated him and I didn't realize that my determination to help Trevas get the throne was growing. . I didn’t realize that my desire to win Trevas was no longer because I needed power but because I wanted the day to come when respect and admiration would be seen by everyone and no one would try to belittle him anymore.

When we reached the opposite side of the palace the big gate immediately opened and at the same time trumpets and drums sounded. I, Lina, Trevas, the three other generals went straight to the palace hall to report to the king what had happened while Trevas' men, along with the rest of Luke's men and the barbarians at the training camp next to the palace but their leaders Luke and Alaric we also included in the palace hall.

When we entered the Palace hall we caught up with the king who was sitting on the throne while talking to one of the ministers and it looked like the meeting had just ended. The two immediately stopped talking when they saw us enter the hall so the king motioned for a minister to leave and he followed but he bowed in Trevas' direction before walking out of the hall.

"You won" the king calmly promised as if he already knew that Trevas would win.

Before Trevas could speak, the big door of the room suddenly opened and Vivian entered, obviously in a hurry because she was out of breath and her hair was messy. He looked at the King before turning his gaze to Trevas and looking around as if looking for someone.

“Where’s Alastor?” he asked so I also looked at Trevas because even I didn't know where Alastor was.

Trevas didn't answer immediately and just stared at his queen mother with a look of concern on her face.

"Won't you even ask how I'm doing?" Trevas asked calmly but I noticed the clenching of his fist.

“Answer my question! What did you do to him? ”Vivian approached him and held him by the dress on his chest. "What did you do to him you demon!"

"Vivian" the king called but Vivan didn't budge and even shook Trevas while forcibly asking where his most beloved child was.

"I asked my staff to look for him because the barbarians caught him-"

“LIAR! I know you took the opportunity he was busy fighting to kill him to make sure the throne would be established, You killed him! You killed my son! ”

Trevas removed his mother's hand from the tight grip on his clothes and he pushed harder on it so it fell to the floor.

"Mother, are you ok?" Trevas asked and hoped to help him stand up but I was shocked when his hands suddenly caught fire and stood up before facing Trevas but I was even more surprised when the fire in his hand was blue with only fire user level 8 nakakagawa.

"Oh shit" I heard Lina whisper before hiding behind Lieutenant Jared.

"Vivian Firlame, Enough" shouted the king and he still stood on his throne but Vivian ignored him and increased the fire in his hand and it reached up to his arm.

Vivian turned to the king before grinning. "You've always been over protective to this son of yours" he pointed out to Trevas. "And I bet deep inside you, you're so happy that your son won and Alastor is gone"

"Alasto isn't dead yet-" Trevas's words were suddenly interrupted when Vivan stretched out his hand in Trevas' direction but even before the fire could approach in our direction, Sergeant Min suddenly blocked and from his outstretched hand flowed the rushing water and met the blue fire but due to the intensity of the heat of the fire the water made by Sergeant Min just evaporated but fortunately the fire coming from Vivian suddenly disappeared when the cement he was stepping on cracked and at the same time it suddenly opened causing Vivian to fall there. The ground closed quickly, causing Vivian to be covered, but before it finally closed, it suddenly cracked again and again because Vivian was probably trying to get out.

“Guards! Take the prisoners to the royal chamber ”Luke and Alaric frowned when they heard the king call them prisoners but they didn't say a word when four royal guards grabbed them by both arms who came from outside and took them somewhere but I didn't. they ignored when I saw the crack in the floor where Vivian was buried even bigger and from those cracks the blue flame was coming out.

Luke stopped in front of me and in his hand reappeared the black magic that wrapped up to his elbow.

"Why is he so angry?" I asked myself.

"Maybe I'm going to menopause" replied Lina who was on my right but I didn't pay any attention to her when the ground opened up and from there Vivian slowly got up.
