"Oh, now you admit that you called the reporters," I said looking at Sonia furiously, I knew she did it, even without her admitting to it.

"You don't need to be mad at me, Kyle, I did it because I need to prepare you for your father's empire, Kyle, you don't know what good I am doing for you now until later, I'm sure you're going to appreciate me then," she said.

"What? What are you talking about now, Sonia?"

"Yes, Kyle, let's face it, hopefully, you are going to be in charge of the Greenwood’s empire someday, so you need to start portraying how good and kind-hearted you are so that Brian will not stand the chance against you when that time comes because you'll be having the support of the people to take charge and rule this city."

"I already know this, Sonia, but I still don't understand where you're headed," I told her, wondering what's she's saying right now.

"Look, Kyle, this is destiny for you, Brian has not kids, no heir to present to your dad, so he is practically not fit to be in position, which means you are the best man for this, but I know Brian, he will not allow you have that position in peace, forget how he Is to you now, if eventually, your dad dies, he will take charge and no one will be there to question him, that is why, Kyle, I want you to stop this unending battle with me and let's get on with things why we still have the time," she said.

I stared at her why she speaks, now I know what all this rubbish is about, Sonia wants to be number one in this city and she needs me to accomplish her goals.

"Do you get it now, Kyle, am doing all this for you," She added.

"You must be insane, to think that I will be a part of this nonsense you have just said," I told her angrily.

"Brian is my elder brother, and as an elder brother, he deserves to be in charge of dad's empire if he wants, heir or no heir, I don't even want that position anyway, I barely even know the family business let alone run it."

"That's why I'm here, Kyle, to help you run it, I'll help you with it, Kyle, give me a chance to make you number one," Sonia said almost pleadingly, I just shook my head while listening to her speak, now I know what her aim is.

"That's not what I care about, Sonia, being number one or controlling the family business is not part of what I wanted in life, and if you know me well as you claim you do, you will know that that's not what matters to me, I value something else more than the so-called power you crave to have through me, now let me make it simple for you, Sonia, I am not interested in having or running my dad's empire, so please stop bugging me already and end this engagement and agreement you have with my parents, so that you can move on with your life," I told her.

"So this is why you called the press to humiliate Kimberly," I asked her furiously, without giving her the chance to say what she wanted to say.

"And what's this about giving Kimberly's family money? Is this one of your games?"

"No, Kyle, it's not one of my games, Brian gave that woman's friend in the hospital the money, your dad wants them out of that hospital, and Brain was going to take the glory of giving them money in your family’s name to gain more publicity as he always does, that's why I had to act fast to get you to the public before him, am sure he has gotten words already about your interview, that way he is not going to tag himself, Brian the great," Sonia said sarcastically.

Oh mine goodness, I can't sit around here anymore listening to this nonsense, I said within me, I need to find out from Brain if he still gave that cheque to them even after I fought with him about it.

"Open this door, Sonia," I said in clenched teeth turning to look at her, she locked the car door so that I won't go out of the car.

"I cannot do that, Kyle, I promised your mum that I would bring you home in one peace, and am not about to go back on my word," she said, starting the car again, ignoring me completely she drove off.

"How much longer are you going to push me, Sonia," I yelled angry at how week I feel right now, I don't think Sonia would be messing with me like this, if not for my body condition right now.

"Push you? Do you dislike me this much, Kyle?" She asked, glancing at me briefly.

"Yes, Sonia, if you must know, you make my blood boil," I said, glaring at her.

"Well, I think it's a good thing, Kyle, that I am still able to make your blood boil, that much is enough for me knowing you still feel something for me..." Sonia said and laughed out so shamelessly, sounding like her real self again...
