Chapter 42: Chapter 42

"Why didn't you give them an answer, Miss Sonia?" I mockingly asked her, imitating the way the reporters questioned her back there.

"Answer to what, Kyle?" Sonia asked in return, I bet she knows what am talking about but she's trying to avoid the question.

"When is your wedding coming up, Miss Sonia Roberts?" I asked again still in a mocking manner rephrasing the question one of the reporters asked a few moments ago.

"No... no... you can answer the question without looking at me, keep your eyes on the road," I told her when she turned and glared at me.

"Why should I keep my eyes on the road?" She asked sarcastically.

"That's because I'm not ready to die yet," I replied her too in a sarcastic way.

"And why, Mr Kyle? She asked still in a sarcastic manner glancing at me, "Are you afraid of death?" She added.

"No Sonia actually, I'm not afraid of death, if I were I would have run away from you a long time ago, but I don't want to die today, at least not with you neither do I wish to die with you by my side," I told her bluntly.

"Well, I'll be sure to be by your side when you die, or better still, take you with me." Sonia snapped furiously, increasing the speed of the car, her hands folded tightly on the car stirring.

"You are one crazy b*tch you know that, Sonia?" I asked holding tightly too on to my seat belt.

"You think you can scare me like this?" I asked again, glancing at her briefly and then my eyes back on the road as she continues to accelerate the car.

"Scared of death already, Kyle?" She asked furiously glancing briefly at me too.

"I am not scared, do you know why?" I asked, letting out a smack on the corner of my lips so that she can see it, I bet she saw it, and furrowed her brows the more still in a high speed, am only thankful the road is clear at this time, because with a speed such as this one, we are sure to have an accident any time soon.

"Why, Kyle? Why are you not scared of death?" She asked, "I know you, Kyle, you are scared out of your wits right now, only you are too shy to admit it." She added almost immediately before I could respond.

"Your wrong, Sonia, I'm not scared at all because the Sonia I know loves herself too much to get herself involved in an accident because of a petty thing called love, lets face it, Sonia you love yourself so much that nothing else matters," I told her bluntly.

"Let's see you get us into an accident, Sonia, go ahead then, I'm prepared to have that accident with you," I challenged her.

"You must be crazy, Kyle," Sonia told me, suddenly reducing the speed of the car.

"Hahaha..." I laughed out triumphantly the best way I can given my body condition, I wished that I am strong this minute like my usual self, I would have given Sonia a victorious dance even while sitting in her car.

"I told you, Sonia, you love yourself more, and all you are doing, you do it for yourself alone,"

"That's not entirely true, Kyle," She said, driving at a normal speed now and keeping her eyes on the road as well, take today, for instance, Kyle, I did it for you," she told me.

"Delude yourself, Sonia, but definitely not me," I told her looking out of the window, "I know you for who you truly are,"

"It's the truth, Kyle can't you see? I came back here to free that woman for your peace of mind,"

"Stop saying nonsense, Sonia, you came here because of my mum, you wanted to please her to keep her on your side,"

"I'm not saying nonsense, Kyle, I did come here because of you,"

"Seriously, what about the reporters then, why did you call them here?" I asked rather calmly, I am exacting so much energy already talking to Sonia like this.

"I called them for you too, Kyle, for your image," she said...
