Chapter 124: Chapter 124
"You know what, Dad, I am done with this, I am leaving here and I am taking my kids with me and I promise you, dad, if I see Sonia anywhere near my family, I am not going to hesitate to kill her..."
"What are you talking about, Kyle?" Dad asked interrupting me.
"You heard me, Dad, I am not going to stay here and listen to you defend the woman who has almost ruined my life and almost killed the mother of my children," I told Dad frankly and continues before he could say another word.
"I am going to leave this house with my family, I will leave your so-called business, and go do my business, what I have loved and has always wanted to do you hear me?" I told Dad.
"You will do no such thing, Kyle," Dad said raising his voice at me again.
"I will do that, Dad, and you are going to do nothing about it," I said to Dad and I meant it.
"Kyle..." Dad shouted behind me when I turned to leave his room.
"Let him go, Greg, let him go, you have controlled them enough...," I heard Mum say to Dad before closing the door behind me, I know that they are both going to argue about my decision, or probably fight over it, but I do not care anymore bout what the outcome of my decision will be.
I noticed Brian walked out of the room too after I did, I am going to call Doctor Sam and have him tell me his plan concerning how to tackle Sonia.
"Hold on, Kyle," Brian called after me.
"What is it, Brian? Please I do not have time to listen to your plea to reason with Dad," I told him before he could speak further.
"Slow down, Kyle, I am not your enemy," Brian told me, and I kind of agree, besides he has been the one who had called the hospital to take Kimberly there, I wonder what I would have done if Brian wasn't present in the house as at that time, who knows, I would have lost Kimberly.
"Alright, Brian, what do you want?" I asked him immediately because it seemed like he is slowing me down as I need to speak with Doctor Sam immediately.
"I want you to know that you can count on me for support any time and feel free to come back home when ever you want," Brian told me.
"Please try and forgive dad too, I am not happy with his decision to release Sonia but I think I know why he did what he did," Brian told me.
"What could be a good enough reason to release someone who almost killed the mother of your grandkids and is threatening to do it again, tell me, what could be a good enough reason for that even if the person who is shot is not related to you?" I asked Brian almost angrily.
"As I said, Kyle, I think it is because he owes Sonia's dad a debt for helping him in the past, I mean, that was the reason for the alliance before, and now he thinks it is Time he repays the debt," Brian told me.
"So if I was the person who Sonia has shot, Dad will still be paying his debt," I told Brian in return.
"Thank goodness it was not you, Kyle, I do not know what I would have done, I may probably have done worse to that Sonia irrespective of Dad's decision," Brian said to my surprise, "that is why I understand you completely, and I will support you in whatever ever decision you take, just make sure to be careful," Brian added.
I stared at Brian still surprised by his statement, I never knew Brian felt this way about me and that he would have my back like this.
"Thanks, Brian," I told him.
"Anything, Bro," he replied and to my surprise again he leaned forward and embraced me.
"I was meaning to ask you this, Brian," I said after our heart to heart embrace.
"What is it, Kyle?" He asked me.
"Why are you still with dad, I mean, don't you have something you would love to do with your life better than running Dad's business?" I asked him looking into his face.
"Look at you, Kyle," Brian said smiling now at me.
"Yeah, Brian, I meant it, tell me," I told him again.
"No, it is not what you think, Kyle, I love the work I do, I love running Dad's business if that is what you mean to ask," Brian told me.
"I see," I said in return, that explains the way he carried himself doing the work.
"Where are Alex and Sandra?" I asked him.
"They are with Belinda," Brian replied.
"I am leaving with them, Brian," I told him calmly staring at him, I think he would not want me to leave given the look on his face.
"Are you moving into your house here in the city or abroad?" Brian asked gazing at me.
"I will first move into my house here in the city, I will be staying here until Kimberly gets well, and if she agrees, I will have to move to my house abroad, Brian, I think this is going to depend on what Kimberly wants, Brian," I told him.
"Alright, Kyle, if that will make you happy," he told me.
"Yes, Kyle, I want to be able to leave my life on my terms and not how dad wanted anymore, and I also want my kids especially Alex to leave a normal life away from Dad and his silly rules," I told Brian.
"I will miss you, Kyle," Brian said.
"Hey, I am still in the country and you can always visit me even if I leave abroad, you can afford it," I told him smiling a little, at least I have the support of my brother and I know Belinda will support me too, she has never been in support of Dad's rules before.
"It's time to go, Brian," I told him, "please do take care of Mum," I added, she is the only one I care about now, not that I do not care about dad, but his words earlier hurt me real bad."
"I will, Kyle, just take care of yourself and your family," he told me and I like the way that sounds, that means he already considered me a family man, together with Kimberly and my kids...
