Chapter 396: Chapter 396
Chapter 396 The Contract
Suddenly, Tina blushed. "I-I didn't say that I would call you my dad!"
"What? Didn't you want a bet?" Leon bewilderedly asked her.
"Leon, you're just lucky. Fay was really nice, and she came because she simply had an appointment with Rachel." Tina argued.
"Talk about naΓ―ve." Leon rolled his eyes.
Fay didn't come on her own accord. Leon knew that. She simply went to the appointment today because Leon put pressure on her, not because he was approachable and nice.
"A-Anyway, you got lucky this time." Tina pouted.
"Does that mean I was lucky that I beat you last time?"
"I only told you that you were lucky this time because Fay would never abandon her fans out of the blue!"
"Stop lying, Tina. Just get down on your knees and call me your dad." Leon told her.
"With so many people in the restaurant, I can't just kneel in front of you. It's embarrassing!" Tina sighed. "Besides, I can just call you my dad without kneeling, right?"
"That's what makes it exciting. If you think kneeling and calling me your dad is hard enough, then don't try and make silly, random bets with me again!" Leon glared at Tina.
As soon as Tina found herself in a pinch, she looked at Rachel, indirectly telling her to help her decide.
This, however, put Rachel in a dilemma.
Rachel thought that if a person lost the bet, that person will do what the winner wanted them to do with no objections. It was obvious that Tina was trying to get herself out of the messy situation she was in, so Rachel sided with her.
"Why don't we discuss it again, Leon?" Rachel said as she looked at Leon and tried to get him to show some form of mercy.
"Rachel, your sister is already an adult. She can manage by her own, you know?" Leon told her and gave Rachel a stern look.
Rachel simply didn't have a choice anymore. After all, she really thought that Leon had a point and that Tina should suffer the consequences of a bet.
At this point, Tina was in complete despair.
"Rachel, I'm your sister." Tina said as she wrapped her arm around Rachel, which indicated that she badly needed help.
Leon simply took a glance at Rachel and she immediately knew her answer.
She couldn't afford to stand up for her sister any longer.
After Tina witnessed Rachel's cruel treatment, she sighed. She couldn't do anything about it, so she quickly kneeled down. "Dad." Tina said, with a hint of embarrassment evident in her eyes.
In an instant, other customers saw Tina's behavior and she quickly became the center of attention.
"Young people nowadays are really open-minded." One of the customers said.
"I know, right? They have no etiquette when it comes to diners like these."
"Actually, I don't think they even know about etiquette!" They laughed.
"I'm so not done with you, Leon! You've embarrassed me now!" Tina said as she clenched her teeth and slammed her fist against the table. Her face was as red as a tomato and Leon couldn't help but laugh.
After the incident, Fay came back to Rachel's table. However, a young man with a braid followed behind her.
"Miss Rachel, this is my manager. His name is David."
"Hello, David. Why don't we take a look at the contract? If there is no problem, I'd have to ask Miss Fay to sign her signature." Rachel said with a smile.
David replied with a stern look, "I told Miss Fay that it was alright if she decides to sign the contract, but we require her to get at least one heroine role on the TV series in the next six months. If you can't guarantee it that, then I'm afraid she won't be able to sign or discuss about this contract."
Leon's expression changed immediately as he heard David's request.
Sure enough, after the David offered his condition, Fay's face turned pale.
She quickly denied, "No, I didn't ask them to let me play the role of a hero."
Fay knew that David's request was strict. It was going to be impossible to meet that kind of standard especially in a TV series for a small-time company like that of Rachel's.
"It's not too much to ask for Fay. You're worth all the time and effort" David winked at Fay then she felt irritated.
However, David really wanted to maximize the profits, so he kept insisting.
"David, stop talking!" Fay said as she glanced at David and turned to Rachel. "Miss Rachel, I didn't communicate with David beforehand, so please forgive me. I didn't ask them to let me play the role of the hero, so no pressure, okay?"
Faye knew fully well that if things happened to go downhill now, the president of the Flying Group would be furious.
There was one thing about signing contracts β They mustn't make an unreasonable offer to their clients, let alone the excessive ones.
At this time, Rachel breathed a sigh of relief. She knew that she couldn't be able to exceed David's expectations and that made her scared.
Especially when it came to the president of Flying Group.
Tina, however, noticed something weird about her new idol. She felt that there was something stopping her from agreeing to David's conditions and she couldn't figure out what it might be.
David simply just nodded. "Since Fay is going to sign the contract, we have to keep it as confidential as we possibly can." He glanced at Tina and pointed at her. "You!"
David also took a glance at Leon and pointed at him as well. "And you, too. Go away!"
