Chapter 338: Chapter 338

Chapter 338 Marked With Death

"It had been a long time already but why was the villa still not yet sold to anyone?" Leon Williams asked with a smirk?

James tried to keep his calm.

When the villa was being decorated, a worker fell off the patio and died on the spot.

People in the neighborhood knew that it had happened and they would not want to buy the villa.

So the villa could only be sold to outsiders.

Julia Young treated James as an acquaintance but James cheated behind her back. After all, it was all for the money.

"When you get in, follow me," Leon Williams said as he glanced at Betty Brown.

"Is there really something wrong with this villa?" Subconsciously, Betty Brown felt a hint of coldness on her back.

Leon Williams nodded with a serious expression, "If the aura is not harmonious, it is not conducive to daily living. I don't why your stepmother is now keen on buying it, I thought she was at least smart to notice that James was only fooling her."

"Well, I believe you," Betty Brown trusted Leon Williams very much.

Leon Williams and Betty Brown walked into the villa.

By that time, Julia Young and James had finished looking on the first floor and they came to the second floor.

As soon as Leon Williams entered the hall on the first floor, he felt a chilling wind coming from the patio.

It was not normal for that place to feel cold in the middle of the day, especially on a summer day.

"Leon, I'm thirsty. Bring up a bottle of water from the ground floor!" Julia Young ordered in a condescending tone.

Leon Williams paid no attention to her at all.

"Don't you have any hands? Help yourself!" Leon Williams responded in a cold voice and they continued to walk upstairs.

Julia Young was so angry that her face looked distressed. At any time she would reject the idea that Leon Williams was her son-in-law.

On the other hand, Betty Brown was standing close to Leon Williams.

Leon Williams arrived on the second floor and he stood by the window. He looked at the three tall buildings opposite the villa.

"What's wrong with you Leon? Hurry up and light a cigarette for James! Why are you trying to inspect everything?"

Julia Young stared as Leon Williams stood in front of her with his eyes filled with what seemed like impatience.

James took out a cigarette and held it in his mouth, waiting for Leon Williams to light it.

Leon Williams looked back at James with a cold glow in his eyes.

Why would he light a cigarette for him? He was only a sweaty scumbag trying to make some money for the day.

Both James and Julia Young were frightened by his sharp look.

The cold air seemed to stagnate and the scene suddenly became so quiet that even the sound of a fine needle falling on the ground would be heard.

It took a while for James and Julia Young to come back in reality.

James coughed to get Julia Young's attention, "Let us continue to look at the house!"

Julia Young also coughed deliberately to hide her reaction from Leon Williams's cold stares.

James and Julia Young walked towards the other direction and for a second James looked back at Leon Williams as he was curious about the identity of that man.

After that, Julia Young had visited all the rooms in the villa and she was very satisfied.

Of course, the final thing she had to do was to decide whether she would buy the villa or not.

"James, there are no outsiders between us. How much is this villa?" Julia Young asked with a smile on her face.

She hoped that it would not amount to 30 million dollars like back in Prosperous Age because that would be too expensive.

"The villa was supposed to sell for 30.29 million dollars but considering the relationship between us, I wiped out the change and I will price it for 30 million dollars," James said with a smile.

As soon as she heard that, Julia Young's heart felt cold in an instant.

"It's so expensive, 30 million dollars can already buy a two-bedroom house in Rainbow Villa," Julia Young said as she believed that the price was a little unreasonable.

"Auntie, as you said 30 million can only buy a two-bedroom in Rainbow Villa while you can buy a three-story villa in The Scenery which is a great bargain," James said.

"That's different. Rainbow Villa is located in the city center where there are nearby business and commercial establishments. It's the best neighborhood in the city compare to The Scenery," Julia Young said in an attempt to bargain.

"Julia, it is precise because we have a good relationship that I am willing to sell you the villa before other people could buy it. Do you know that I had received more than a dozen calls yesterday because there are rich people who are rushing to buy the villa because of its perfect location? This might be your only chance to this wonderful offer. You must decide now and you must think about it carefully."

James clung to the price that he had set and he refused to lower it.

"James, my brother-in-law works at the Sunny law firm. Maybe he should have said hello to you in advance and so you would drop the price a little further."

In fact, Julia Young had some regrets. Previously, she could have bought the King Building that she originally wanted and bought it for 25 million dollars. But if she would take James's offer then she would need to spend another 5 million dollars.

She thought that the villa at Prosperous Age was too pricy but The Scenery's villa was much more expensive.

But there was no use in regretting. Julia Young wanted to save her face from shame and she didn't want to go back to Prosperous Age even if the offer there was much better.

"It is because I am a friend of your brother-in-law that I wanted to sell the villa to you. Look, here is a certificate issued by an expert to this villa which can prove that this is a treasure land. You may lose so much money now but there will be endless blessings that you will receive in the future."

With that, James also took out a red leather certificate from his bag and he showed it to Julia Young.

"So Julia, what worries do you have? When in the future, you will be able to make a fortune and then receive endless blessings," James added

"Okay, I have decided! I will buy it!"

Julia Young raised her eyebrows and then she waved her hand in front of James to signal that she had made her final decision.

"Wait a minute," suddenly, Leon Williams began to speak.

"Leon Williams, what do you want?" Julia Young asked and Leon Williams's sudden interruption ruined her mood.

At that moment, Leon Williams didn't pay any attention to Julia Young. Instead, he approached James and he stood face to face with him.

"The certificate is fake," Leon Williams said in a determined voice.

"What? Is the document fake?" There was a look of surprise on Julia Young's face.

At that time, James's face was stunned and he immediately sounded gloomy.

"Are you saying that I'm lying and I'm deceiving my guest? Don't talk nonsense! This is an authentic certificate with an expert's signature on it."

The truth was James felt panicked on the inside. He tried hard not to appear as if he was bluffing, he was too close to selling that villa that no one wanted to buy.

He didn't understand why Leon Williams could read his mind.

"If the certificate is true then maybe the expert you are referring to is the fake one," Leon Williams said.

James was worried when he heard that, 'How come that driver could know a lot of things about the real estate industry?'

James could not let that man ruined his plans because it was not easy to sell that house.

"What nonsense are you talking about? Do you want me to sue you for slander? Why would meddle in people's business?"
