As Alpha Jax ran with the bleeding unconscious Aurora, Uncle Max looked at them anxiously

"What happened to Aurora?", Uncle Max asked.

"Uncle, I don't have the time to talk right now because she is bleeding", Alpha Jax replied as he got into the car driven by Gamma Enrique.

Alpha Jax was so anxious as he continued to call on Aurora. If not that she was pregnant and bleeding he would have changed to his wolf.

His heart was bleeding as he felt her hurt physically and… emotionally. His mind drifted back to the conversation with her a few minutes ago. Did she really think he killed her father intentionally? Was that the reason she hated him so much?

He should have guessed as much when he saw her surname. It did look familiar but because he really wasn't involved directly in the Patterson case, he didn't take it into consideration.

Now, he was so annoyed at himself. He was confused on what to do.

"Aurora…I am sorry about your father…I am really sorry but I really didn't mean to kill him…", Alpha Jax said holding back his tears.

He just can't afford to lose Aurora and his unborn child. He had waited for them for too long. The car stopped at the entrance of the hospital where doctors were already on standby.

They wheeled Aurora to the operating room. She was still bleeding. She was becoming weak. They have to stabilize her before she loses the pregnancy.

Alpha Jax who was pacing around the operating ward looking tense and…angry. He was angry with himself for not looking properly into Aurora's background thoroughly. Maybe, just maybe, he might have avoided this catastrophe by explaining himself to her.

Alpha Jax silently prayed to the Moon goddess to protect his mate and their baby. As he was still pacing about, Aurora's mother rushed into the ward. She saw Alpha Jax in a distraught state.

"What happened to my daughter?", Aurora's mother asked in panic.

"Mother, I…I… I really can't explain. She was breathing heavily and the next thing I know she had started bleeding", Alpha Jax tried to explain.

"How can she just start bleeding? Was she agitated by something?", Aurora's mother asked.

Alpha Jax stopped pacing and looked guiltily at Aurora's mother. How can he tell her he was the one that killed her husband? Wouldn't she hate him too?

He really don't have the strength to deal with Aurora's mother now. So he just took a deep breath and lied to her.

"I can't remember anything, mother. Let's just wait for the doctor", Alpha Jax said lowering his head.

Sarah looked at her son in-law defeated expression. He looked dejected and…afraid. What could be the problem? Did Aurora….? She really wished Aurora hadn't done anything stupid.

"Jax, you called me mother and you can't confide in me?", She asked him.

"Mother, please can we talk after Aurora gets out of the theater? I really can't think straight right now", Alpha Jax said.

"Jax, I know my daughter very well and there's only one thing that can trigger her", she said softly", but I will wait till she is out of danger before we talk about this issue once and for all".

Alpha Jax nodded his head as he waited anxiously, looking at the red light that is still on at the theater room. He hopes Aurora is okay. He doesn't mind if he loses the child but he wants Aurora to get well. She needs to be alive.

After waiting for More than two hours, the doctor finally stepped out of the theater room looking tired. He walked straight to the anxious Alpha who was already walking towards him.

"Doctor, is Aurora okay?", He asked looking worried and scared. He can't lose her….

"Relax, Jax. Our mate would be fine", Ares said trying to calm him", you know I am also worried but you have to be strong".

Alpha Jax took a deep breath before he listened to what the doctor was saying.

"Talk to me, doctor"

"Alpha, if you had come a little later we would have lost either the mother or the child. It's sure a narrow escape", the doctor said wiping off his sweat.

"What do you mean, doctor? Is my wife okay?", He asked again still unsure of the doctor's answer.

"Yes, the mother and child are safe", he said smiling. Alpha Jax relaxed visibly as a rush of joyous emotions clouded his mind.

His mate is alright. His child is safe. They are both alive. He was so grateful towards the Moon goddess for her mercies.

"Where is my wife?", Alpha Jax asked.

"She is still in the recovery room and in deep sleep. You will need to leave her for some hours so her emotions would be calm", the doctor advised.

Alpha Jax was not too happy. He wanted to see Aurora badly. Aurora's mother saw the Alpha's mood and she quickly stepped in.

"Okay, doctor. Thank you very much. We will wait here till it's okay to visit her", Aurora's mother said to the doctor.

Aurora's mother took Alpha Jax's hands as she dragged him out of the emergency ward.

"Mother, where are you dragging me to? I want to see Aurora", he said looking displeased.

"The doctor advised us not to disturb her yet. Do you want to trigger her again?", She said to him.

"Mother…I…"

"Besides, we have an issue to trash out, right?", Aurora's mother said to him.

Alpha Jax reluctantly followed her as Aurora's mother took him to a restaurant where they can talk without being disturbed.

They need to settle this matter once and for all.

Gamma Enrique was so tired as he dragged himself towards his little apartment. Gamma Enrique who had been tired suddenly looked alert when he saw his door open. He thought he locked his door. Who opened it? Could it be her?

He took a glance inside and that's when he saw her. She was sitting leisurely on the couch with a glass of wine in her hand. She was looking happy. It seems like she sensed a presence around her as she turned her beautiful face towards him.

"Enrique, you are finally back. Where did you run off to?", She asked.

"Aunty Adrene, I was with the Alpha", Gamma Enrique replied.

"Oh! Really? So tell me, did something happen to Aurora or the bastard in her womb?", Adrene asked with disgust clearly evident.

"Aunty Adrene, did you do something to Aurora?", Gamma Enrique asked.

"No, I didn't do anything to her", she replied.

"If you didn't do anything to her then why are you asking if something happened to her and her child? ", He asked again as he began to lose control of his emotions.

"I already told you, I didn't do anything…directly. I just threw in a little information. Something like an advice. If she took it to heart and reacted, it's really not my fault", Adrene explained.

"Aunt Adrene…you didn't even spare an innocent child in pursuit of your revenge?", Gamma Enrique asked.

"Why don't you ask Alpha Jack if he spared the innocent one too? ", She suddenly screamed.

"Alpha Jack is dead, Aunt Adrene. He is dead…you don't need to blame others for the crimes of another", he tried to talk to her.

"I don't care! I don't give a damn about whatever you are saying. Alpha Jack is dead but his son is alive! He must pay for every single tear I shed for Timothy", she shouted as she began to get irritated and angry.

"If you want to deal with Alpha Jax, do it with him and let others out of the plan"

"Alpha Jax is impenetrable. So, I can only get him through the woman he loves", she replied with an evil smirk.

Then she added,"Tell me all about what happened to her. I want every details".

"You are becoming sick…", Gamma Enrique said. But before he could finish his sentence, a loud slap landed on his face.

"Don't you dare open that mouth of yours to call me sick! You owe me your life! I can use it as I please!", Adrene shouted at Enrique, looking frustrated and angered.

She owe no one an explanation if she wants to continue her revenge. Everything that the former Alpha had done the her was still fresh in her memory.

Adrene flashed back to how she begged Jack on that cold stormy and rainy night. But he pushed her away and left, without looking back.

It wasn't her fault, she was a woman in love with the Alpha of the Blood Moon Pack. He knew of her feelings for him and he played with her emotions.

If she hadn't been so ill after that night, Timothy wouldn't have rushed to buy her drugs. He wouldn't have been hit by a car.

Timothy died on the spot. Alpha Jack caused his death and she won't forgive him ever for killing her son.

Alpha Jack must pay!!!

Tears fell down Adrene's eyes as she stared into space thinking about her past. She wasn't this bitter before nor was she this revenge thirsty.

But her life some days before and after that fateful night changed her drastically. She was just a young girl going through a rejected life with her son.

FLASHBACK!!!

It all started when Adrene had to work to fend for herself and her son. She was a werewolf who lost her mate. She lost her mate to someone else. There is this saying about werewolves and their destined mate.

That they never leave each other. It was also said that the moon goddess blesses you with the person you crave for. Sometimes, when you find your mate, it might not necessarily be your soulmate.

She learnt her lesson the hard way. When she saw her mate, they were filled with passion and made love that day. She was filled with overflowing love for him. She thought he was her everything but sadly she was dumped like a piece of trash. He left her the next day and since then she didn't see him again. The next month, she found out she was pregnant.

Yes, Adrene was carrying the child of her mate who abandoned her. She was so devastated that she went to the clinic to get rid of the baby but at the last minute she couldn't get rid of it.

The child was her own blood too. She decided to give birth to her child and it was a beautiful son. She loved him from the day he was born. He reminded her of the love she shared with her mate.

Adrene never saw her mate again. She was struggling to survive with her six years old son. Life at Blood Moon Pack wasn't that rosy in the reign of Alpha Jack. He was busy defending his territory from Invaders.

As at that time Alpha Jack hasn't found his mate. Alpha Jack met her at a dinner party where she acted as a waitress. Adrene was a beautiful and attractive young lady who would catch a man's eyes at a glance. This was what drew Jack to her.

Jack who was without a mate got attracted to him with her beauty. He couldn't take his eyes off her. He sent his Beta to inquire about her and also bring her to him.

That night after her work she went home to relax and also take care of her son. It was almost midnight. After she took care of her son, she heard a knock on her door. She was surprised to see Beta at her door.

Alpha Jack's Beta who already got his information about her made a signal for her to come out with him. Though she was surprised she still went with him and that was her first step to her destruction.

That night she met with their Alpha. She fell in love with him at first sight. Looking at Alpha Jax, he completely took his father's look and attributes. That's why she always have that hatred anytime she sees Jax.

Adrene was smitten by the Alpha's look and generosity. She and her son was well taken care of by him. They met each other several times and in her mind Alpha Jack was the perfect man she ever wanted in life.

They dated for the first six months and Adrene was very happy. She had her hopes built on a happy family for the three of them. Though Alpha Jack hardly sees her son.

Everytime she mentions that they should go on a family picnic, the alpha always brushes it off. She thought it was because he was too busy so she would just ignore it.

Exactly one year after their relationship started, Alpha Jack met his mate. And that was the beginning of her doom.

Alpha Jack cast her aside and began to lessen their meeting. At first, he never told her anything but she slowly realized that he had changed.

Due to the fact that her mate left her, she had been living in the human world. That was where Alpha Jack met her. Even when he met his mate, he never left her. He never told her and she never knew because she wasn't living in the Pack.
