Behind a huge fruitful tree a figure was watching the scene between the two women. It was a figure of a woman. When she saw that one of the women had left the garden, she showed her face which was looking angered.

"Alpha Jack, I never knew your son would fall deeply in love. That's interesting. I guess I have to play my little game with the Alpha's mate after you destroyed my life.

It's only fair if I, Adrene Gibson, destroys your son's life too just as you did to mine just to settle the scores. What do you think? I remember she is at her critical stage of losing a child", The woman asked herself with a chuckle.

Adrene Gibson smiled at the woman whose eyes were obviously closed. She was going to make sure the new Alpha lost his child and his woman. She will only be at peace if Jack feels the pain his son is passing through… Even if he was dead. Death was too quick a punishment for the betrayal.

Adrene was going to make sure the Alpha's mate loses her child. She heard the Royal howl too. She got her connection to look for the hospital and that's how she met up with the doctor. She was going to make sure that Aurora girl loses her pregnancy but how? She smirked evilly.

It's easy, Adrene thought. All she had to do is convince the poor girl that Jax was truly responsible for her father's death. Yes, Adrene knew all about Aurora Patterson. She gathered information about her on the day Alpha Jax claimed her as her mate. She knows every single thing happening around Alpha Jax. She was ready for her revenge on Alpha Jack's family.

That old man, Max, can no longer do anything. He is as good as dead. Slowly, she shall infiltrate the whole of the family and bring them down. Her son would finally take over the rightful position as the Alpha.

She looked towards the woman in the garden. It was time to act.

Adrene strode closer to Aurora who was resting her head as soon as Celine left. Aurora really wanted to take in the fresh air. Aurora's ears perked up when she heard light footsteps coming towards her again. She opened her eyes only to see her cousin, Mason, grinning at her. She rolled her eyes at him. This boy is something else!

"Did you forget you are already a man? Why are you grinning like that?", She asked looking at him.

"Rora, you know why I am grinning", he replied with a wide smile.

"I do? When did I become a mind reader, Mason?", Aurora asked

"Stop it, Rora. Everyone in the Pack heard it", Mason replied.

"Heard about what?," She asked, confused.

"The Royal howl that was sounded by the Alpha some days back. I thought you knew about it", Mason said.

"What's the Royal howl?'' Aurora asked, still looking confused.

"You don't even know the Royal howl? Didn't Auntie tell you anything about the rules of the Pack?"Mason asked, looking at Aurora's face.

"Well, let's just say I wasn't listening. I didn't want to come here anyways", Aurora said.

Then she whispered to herself", I never want to come to a pack that abandoned their own".

"Rora, you are a werewolf of the blood moon pack and the soon to be Luna. You need to know the rules and traditions", Mason said.

"You still haven't answered my question", Aurora said.

"Well, the Royal howl is like the announcement of a newborn baby to the Alpha family. It tells the members of the Pack that their Alpha is expecting a child. Once a Luna is confirmed pregnant, the Alpha goes to the hilltop to make the announcement by making a howl sound peculiar to the Pack for about thirty minutes. Once the Pack hears the sound, they acknowledge and welcome the baby by echoing the same thing", Mason explained.

"Oh! So that's how you knew I was pregnant, right?"Aurora asked.

"Yes, and I am so excited to be a big uncle", Mason said smiling.

"Okay, I have heard you. Can you leave me alone now?"Aurora pleaded.

"You are such a killjoy. Can I feel the baby?"Mason said.

"Well, you can feel the baby as much as you want if you don't mind losing your hands", Aurora said calmly.

"Rora, you are my cousin. Would you be so cruel to tell the Alpha?"Mason said.

"I won't but the secret guards are likely to tell him", Aurora said nonchalantly.

"Hey! But I just wanted to feel it", he said.

"Are you the father?", Aurora asked raising her brow.

"I am not but I am his uncle", he shrugged.

Aurora was short of words as she held her head. She took a deep breath and looked straight into Mason's eyes.

"Mason, I need my beauty rest now. I am sure Alpha Jax won't appreciate you clinging to me, right?", Aurora said threateningly.

"Hey, you don't have to threaten me. I am going already", Mason said making a weird sound as he walked away murmuring to himself.

Aurora shook her head at him again. This her cousin is so funny. She closed her eyes again to relax.

She had just rested for two minutes when she heard another footsteps. She was getting impatient with Mason. She really needed to rest.

"Mason, I have told you I…", Aurora said as she opened her eyes. She saw a strange woman smiling at her.

The woman was looking gorgeous. Though her face looked a little aged, she had a very gorgeous body. A body that would have made men kill each other while she was younger.

Aurora, who had wanted to scold Mason, was surprised at the woman before her. Who was this woman?

"Hello, Miss Aurora Patterson", the woman greeted her.

"Who are you and how did you know my name?", Aurora asked, still looking surprised.

"I do not just know your name but I also know many things about you that you might be interested in", the woman replied.

"Who are you?", Aurora asked again.

"Who I am is not important. What I have to analyze to you is most important", the woman smirked.

"If you can't tell me who you are, I can as well call the secret guards to send you off", Aurora warned.

"You can call them, I don't have a problem with that", she replied looking nonchalant", It's just that, it is a pity because I wanted to tell you something about your father".

Aurora, who was about to signal to the guard, stopped in her tracks when she heard that the woman had information about her father's death.

"What do you mean? Do you have any information about the murder of my father?", Aurora asked.

"Do you need any evidence? Let's just say I know your father, Robert Patterson", the woman replied.

"Stop beating around the bush and tell me what you know about my father", Aurora said trying to control her emotions.

"I know Alpha Jax killed your father", she answered.

"You know? You just don't know that kind of stuff. You have evidence for it", Aurora asked looking straight into her eyes.

"Actually I don't have concrete evidence but I have something your father gave me", the woman said, bringing something out of her bag.

"What is that?", Aurora asked, narrowing her eyes.

"Take a look at it", she gave Aurora a locket.

Aurora narrowed her eyes when she saw the locket. Was that her father's golden locket? Aurora's hands were shaking as she looked closely at the locket. It was indeed her father's locket. It has the family's carving on it. The carving was a "P" shaped like a snake.

She opened the locket and saw their family's portrait. It was indeed her father's locket but how did this strange woman get hold of it? Did her father really give her?

"Why? Why did my father give you his locket?", Aurora asked as she started sobbing softly.

"Like I said, your father gave me this locket. He came to see me two days before he was murdered", The woman explained.

What… what…did my father tell you?", Aurora managed to ask.

"He said the Alpha of Blood Moon Pack wanted to kill him. He asked me to give the locket to his daughter and also…tell her to avenge him if the alpha did kill him. He told me to tell you he was innocent of all charges", the woman said.

"No…it can't be true…are you lying to me?"

"Why should I? I have been searching for you for a long time. I went to your residence but it had been occupied by new owners", she replied.

Aurora looked at the woman. She doesn't trust her but if her father didn't visit her, she wouldn't have the locket. Is she telling the truth?

"Miss Aurora, I know that you are Alpha Jax mate but I hope you are a filial daughter. His last wish was to see her daughter avenging his death", she said.

"I don't care who you are but I just want you to please leave me…I need to be left alone", Aurora said as more tears flowed down.

"As you wish but remember…", she said but Aurora cuts her off.

Adrene smiled as she quietly left Aurora alone. Though she was not sure if Aurora believed her or not, she knew she had succeeded in planting the seed of doubt in an already distrustful relationship.

She knew Aurora would surely react in no matter of time. If what the doctor said was accurate then she is sure Aurora might lose her child.

She smirked evilly as she left the venue unnoticed.

Aurora was on the bed thinking deeply about what the woman from last night had said to her. They had gone back to their ancestral home after the party two days back.

She had been troubled over the issue of the mafias and Jax's involvement in her father's death for some days now. She really wishes to get things over with him. She needs to know everything but what that woman told her was still resounding in mind.

After Rufus' mate 's welcoming ceremony that night, she had been really disturbed. She barely concealed her emotions when she went back to the party. She had been filled with different thoughts.

Though the woman had no evidence but her father's locket was with her. Did her father really meet her? But her words don't make much sense.

She looked at the handsome devil before her. People like to call him the god of death or the handsome devil. The man was too handsome to be connected to that name.

Aurora had once asked Mason how the Pack members viewed their Alpha. His response was a shock to her because she expected him to be afraid or even hate him. But obviously it was different.

"Aurora, you won't understand. Though people view the alpha as a ruthless person, he is actually not ruthless to the Innocents. He is only ruthless towards betrayals and enemies of the Pack. He has no mercy for people like that but he is a very good leader to us all in the Pack", Mason had told her.

Aurora had wondered which category her father fell into to deserve being murdered brutally. Was her father really guilty? What exactly was her father's crime if actually the Alpha is as people say he is? Aurora couldn't help asking herself.

"Is there something on my face, sweetheart?", Alpha Jax asked.

"Nothing. It's just that I…I wanted to ask you something but..I don't know if it's okay by you", Aurora asked as she gripped the edge of the bed tightly.

Her face was becoming pale as she tried to suppress her emotions. Alpha Jax felt her pains shooting through his heart.

"Baby, please stop stressing yourself. You need to calm down. Remember what the doctor said about your health. You know you can tell me anything", he assured her as he moved closer to her but she suddenly got out of the bed. He was surprised at the change in her emotions.

"Tell me honestly, do you know anything about the blood mafias? They are gangs of well trained assassins delegated to killing people in the human world. I want to know about them. Do you have an idea about them?", Aurora asked, looking at the Alpha's expression.

Alpha Jax was surprised at how Aurora knew about his Mafia organization but he quickly masked it with a smile.

However his surprised look didn't pass the watchful eyes of Aurora.

"Oh! The blood mafias? Why are you so interested in them all of a sudden? Did you have an encounter with them?", Alpha Jax asked jokingly.

"You can say that I had a very terrible and life-scaring encounter with them. My hatred for them bore deep into my heart", Aurora replied with hatred evident in her eyes.

Alpha Jax was obviously taken aback by the hatred in Aurora's eyes. What really happened to her that made her hate his organization? He suddenly felt his heart squeezed tightly. She just said she hated the Blood Mafias, right? What would happen if she found out he was the leader of the Mafia organization? Does that mean…she would also hate him?

It took him a lot of effort and time to win her heart. Infact, he is not even sure if she had given him her whole heart and now she is talking about hating his gang? It invariably means she hates him. He really doesn't know what to do at this stage.

Alpha Jax was at loss for words as he stared at Aurora. He became increasingly worried.

"Aurora, please tell me what happened between you and…the blood mafias? Did they hurt you…or someone you know?", Alpha Jax asked with a shaken voice. He was trying to hold his emotions. Moon goddess, please don't let it be that she was hurt!

"You haven't answered my question, Jax", Aurora said.

"Aurora…i ", Alpha Jax tried to say.

"Jax, be honest with me because I will only ask you once", Aurora cuts in.

"Okay, Aurora. I promise to answer your question but you have to answer mine too", Alpha Jax said looking shaken.

"Are we bargaining here now? Alright, I promise to answer yours. So let me rephrase my question", Aurora said as she looked him in the eyes.

"Aurora…"

"What is your connection to the blood mafias, Jax?"Aurora asked, hitting the nail on the head.

Aurora had been wanting to confront him ever since she found out he was the leader of the dreaded mafia gang that killed her father. She dreaded the answer to her question yet she can't stop wanting to know the answer.

It's killing her deeply. She needs to know.

"You knew…you already knew about it, right? You just want to confirm your suspicions. But I thought it was confidential enough? My identity is of utmost secrecy", Alpha Jax wondered as he stared at Aurora with a complicated expression.

"You haven't answered my question, Jax", Aurora said, sounding impatient.

"I am the boss of Blood Mafias", he said dejectedly.

"Do they operate without your consent, like assassination?", She asked as she balled her hand tightly.

"Never. But, Aurora I can boldly say that my gang had never involved themselves in any unwarranted activities. I can attest to that. If my gang has ever been involved in any assassination, that means the said person must be guilty of treason, fraud or that person is an enemy of mine or the Pack. I assure you, Aurora", Alpha Jax explained.

"How can you be so sure that the person you want to kill is guilty?", Aurora flared.

"I am sure, Aurora. My men always gather comprehensive information and evidence before executing their plans. Please, Aurora…talk to me", Alpha Jax said with a hint of fear. What really happened? Aurora is looking really scary.

"Comprehensive information? Really? Ahhh! Then you must be aware that the Mr Robert Patterson that was murdered by your men brutally some years back had a family! He had a daughter who is your mate and presently carrying your child!", Aurora roared angrily as she was turning pale from anger.

Alpha Jax was rooted to the ground in surprise. He couldn't take in the information passed out by Aurora. Her father was killed by…his gang? Does it mean he signed the death of her father?

"You fucking psycho! You killed my father! You took the only man who was by my side!", Aurora said as she began breathing heavily. She held her chest as her heart began to beat faster and heavier. She was turning paler.

The stupefied Jax quickly ran to her to help out but she pushed him away from herself. She stared at him in anger…and sadness.

"Don't you fucking touch me! I already hate myself for letting you touch me. Though I have started loving you but I wished I don't…I wish I could only hate you…but I can't stop loving you no matter how hard I tried", Aurora sounded heartbroken.

"Aurora, please…allow me to explain.."

"I fucking hate you… why Jax"

"Aurora calm down, please…"

"Shut the fuck up Jax! You fucking killed my father! I can't take it that I am carrying the child of my father's killer", Aurora said as she sobbed. She was shaking from anger.

"Aurora…you.. you are…", Alpha Jax was horrified as he saw blood dripping from Aurora's body. He quickly mindlink his Beta and Gamma to bring his car and arrange for a doctor as soon as possible.

"Aurora…please stop! You are hurting yourself and the baby!", Alpha Jax said as he tried to carry her.

"Get your fucking hands off…", Aurora couldn't finish her words before she suddenly fainted.

"Aurora….", Alpha Jax rushed to grab her before she fell to the ground.

He carried her as he ran out of the room and he mindlink Beta Rufus to bring the files of Aurora's father to him as soon as possible.

Don't die on me, Aurora. I need to explain everything to you.
