Inside the artistic room, the old man sat looking worried. He can't seem to understand his nephew anymore. Jax had told him he was coming to see him with his mate but he had been waiting for some days now yet no sign of that brat.

Uncle Max wondered if that brat was telling him the truth. If he had really found his mate, why hasn't he brought her over to see him? It's been more than a month. What could be the problem? He had tried to probe his nephew's Gamma, Enrique, but he refused to say anything.

He sighed softly looking at the portrait in the room. He remembered his promise to his brother. He needs to fulfill it.

So many thoughts kept running through his head. Maybe he needs to take fresh air again to cool his mind. But he will definitely go to the mansion himself if he doesn't see them at the end of the day.

He rang the bell close to his bed to summon his Butler, Kent, so he could escort him outside for fresh air.

As he awaits the Butler's arrival, he hears a loud howl. It was not just any howl but the Royal howl. He didn't want to assume until he was sure. It howled for thirty minutes before it stopped.

Uncle Max was so shocked that he almost jumped out of his bed if not for the timely intervention of his Butler. His body was shaking with excitement. If not for the Butler, he would have fallen down.

His Butler, Kent, was quick to hold him as terror filled his eyes. He would be dead if anything happens to Uncle Max. Alpha Jax would make sure he was dead without a trace.

Butler Kent knew the reason the old man was so excited but he was terrified nevertheless. The alpha won't act kindly towards them if anything happens to the old man. He was the only relative he had now.

But he could also understand the old man's excitement. It must be because of the Royal howl he just heard not long ago. Uncle Max had pestered his nephew, Alpha Jax, so many times to get married and keep the lineage going.

Hearing the Royal howl, Uncle Max must have gotten excited because he was now relieved to see their family lineage would still go on.

Butler Kent went to the drawer and brought out the old man's drug. He has to stabilize the old man's health. The doctor had advised that he shouldn't be stressed and he shouldn't be too over enthusiastic. He tried to feed him the drug so it can reduce his stress but Uncle Max waved him off.

"Did you hear that, Kent?", Uncle Max asked with an excited but shaken voice", There's going to be a little Prince or Princess. It might even be both, hahaha!".

"I heard it too, Sir but your health is….", Butler Kent answered, trying to make him sit down.

"It's really the Royal howl, brother. We are having a grandchild soon. That rascal is surely a sharp shooter. Hahaha!!", Uncle Max was so excited.

He was staring at the huge portrait of the former Alpha and Luna. Tears started streaming from his eyes. He wiped it off as he sat down on a couch in the room

Butler Kent looked at him helplessly. The old man was stressing himself out. He was worried about his health.

"Sir, I will send someone to go and confirm where they are. Then we can go and visit them, what do you think?", Butler Kent suggested.

"There's no need, Kent. Just make a call to Enrique", Uncle Max said.

"Okay", Butler Kent said as he quickly made a call to Enrique.

Gamma Enrique put down the phone as he looked troubled. He didn't know if he made the right decision to describe the hospital to Uncle Max. But, he can't afford not to. The old man would have his neck.

"What are you thinking about, Enrique?", Alpha Jax asked as he entered the ward. He saw Enrique's deep frown.

"Uncle Max might be coming over here. His Butler just called me", Gamma Enrique said.

"Oh, I knew he won't sit around after hearing the howl", Alpha Jax said as he sat on the bed looking at the sleeping Aurora.

"Yeah, he had been expecting this news for a long", Gamma Enrique said, nodding his head.

"Any developments after I left?", Alpha Jax asked.

"None, except that her mother and sister came to check on her. They just left to prepare something for her to eat. I sent guards with them for protection. I received reports from the troops stationed outside our boundary. I sent the file to your office. And one more thing, Beta Rufus and his mate might delay by a day or two. He says he had something urgent to rectify", Gamma Enrique explained thoroughly to Alpha Jax.

"I wonder what is happening to Rufus and his mate. Why are all mates so stubborn? I can understand Rufus, I was once in his shoes. But, I really need him now so I can focus on Aurora and our baby. Send him a message that I need him as soon as possible", Alpha Jax said.

"Okay, Alpha. I will do as soon as I leave here"

"As for the files, I will check on them later or I think you should send them to the mansion in the morning. I will read through it properly", he said looking at Aurora.

"Roger that, Alpha", Gamma Enrique replied.

"She hasn't woken up?", Alpha Jax said as he rubbed her hair. She wasn't looking pale anymore. Her cheeks were looking rosy.

"No, the doctor said he had to make her sleep so she can rest well. He says she had been stressed too much these days. If it continues, she might lose the baby", Gamma Enrique said.

"Okay, no problem. I will go and talk to the doctor. I want to take her home in the morning. She will be better in a more familiar environment", Alpha Jax said.

"Yes, I agree with you", Gamma Enrique said.

As Alpha Jax wanted to go and see the doctor, Aurora opened her eyes slowly with a yawn. He immediately sat down beside her again. Aurora looked at the man sitting close to her. She noticed he was looking at her lovingly. Her face flushed red.

"This guy is such a flirt but he is so handsome. I wish I could eat him up", she said as she licked her lips.

"I can hear you Aurora. Just wait till we get home, then you can eat me up", he said, winking at her with a grin.

"In your dreams", she glared at him.

Alpha Jax chuckled at his cute mate. She still hasn't learnt how to block her thoughts from him. He won't teach her yet, he will make good use of it for some time.

"I am very hungry. I can eat two horses right now", Aurora said, rubbing her stomach.

"I can get them for you right away, baby", Alpha Jax said as he held her hands.

"Hey! It's just a figure of speech. I am just telling you I am very hungry", Aurora said, hitting his hands.

"Ouch! You are so mean. See, I am being a caring husband and you are here hitting me. Sweetheart, it's not fair", Alpha Jax teases.

"Am really hungry. I want a big bowl of ice cream and pickles", Aurora said with a pout. She looked so adorable that Alpha Jax was ready to do anything for her.

"Don't worry, sweetheart. I will send Enrique to go and…", Alpha Jax said.

"Young lady, you can eat the pickles but no ice cream for you, not even a small bowl", her mother's voice cut Alpha Jax off.

"Mother, why are you so mean?", Aurora cried out.

"I am not mean. I am only cautious for the baby's sake, sweetie", her mother insisted.

"But a little won't hurt", Aurora said as she turned to Alpha Jax", Baby, please. Just a bite".

"Mother….", Alpha Jax turned to Aurora's mother.

"Jax, it would be detrimental to the child's health. She can take it later but not now. The doctor advised against it", her mother explained. Then she turned to Aurora", I have pickles here".

"Really, Mom? Let me have it, I am dying of hunger", Aurora snatched the bowl from her mother and started munching on it.

Alpha Jax stared at her with mouth agape. He drew closer to his mother-in-law and whispered.

"Is she going to be like this in the next nine months? Do I need to stock up my home with pickles?", Alpha Jax asked.

"I'm afraid, yes. There might be other cravings as the pregnancy progresses. Some might be very weird", Aurora's mother whispered back", Are you afraid?".

"Never, mother. I can even bring down the heavens for her. She's worth more than trucks of pickles", Alpha Jax said looking at Aurora who was focused on her food. Munching away with joy filled face.
