Beta Rufus was surprised to see Alpha Jax so quick. His countenance still hasn't changed but this time it looked like he was really furious just like in the morning when he saw his mate hurting.

He walked quickly towards the furious Alpha to fill him in on his investigation so far.

"Speak", Alpha Jax said.

"I found out from the Butler that Miss Aurora was going back home this morning. He tried to stop her but she said you let her go. Butler James said he escorted her to the door before he went back inside. He also sent you a message to tell you Aurora had left. Apparently, the message came too late. The next thing he heard was a sharp cry, that was when he ran out only to see the two women", Beta Rufus explained.

"Go on"

"When I questioned the servants around, I found out one particular guard was the one that let Jasmine in because of the permit. Remember you instructed me to give her the day before you met your mate. Jasmine used the pass to get inside the mansion", Beta Rufus said.

"So she was attacked inside this mansion and no fucking guards or servants could protect her?", Alpha Jax asked surpressing his temper.

"Not really in the mansion. She was attacked outside the gate. I got the recordings from the CCTV footage just outside the gate", Beta Rufus said as he pressed the recordings on his phone.

Alpha Jax watched the footage with clenched fist. How dare this insolent girl! Just because he allowed her get close to him? She had bitten more than she can chew.

"Where's Jasmine?", Alpha Jax asked.

"She is locked up in one of the guestrooms. I stationed two guards to guard the door", Beta Rufus replied.

"Good. Let's go and serve her the punishment meant for her", Alpha Jax said. Beta Rufus quickly led the way.

Jasmine was coiled up on the floor as her whole body was shaking in fear. Alpha Jax is going to kill her. She had heard from the guards how the alpha was shaking in anger when saw his injured mate.

How could Jax choose his mate over her? She had been with him for years. She had to lock her mate away just so she could be with Jax but at the end he immediately ran over to a mate he knew nothing about until yesterday.

Jasmine was so angry with Jax's betrayal. She had loved him for years but now he just threw him away like trash.

What Jasmine regretted the most was her inability to kill that wench! She would have been more than happy to die if only Aurora had died.

That's how much she hated her. She had so many plans which were already becoming reality before that girl came from no where to dash all her plans. She'll never forgive her, if she comes out of here alive, she would make sure Aurora gets out of her way. Either willingly or unwillingly.

She was still in deep thought, when the door flung open and two men walked inside. Jasmine's heart almost fell out at the sight of Alpha Jax.

He really came for her. Is it to kill her or free her?" She asked herself. His countenance doesn't look like one who came to free her.

PATTERSON HOME

Mrs Sarah, Aurora's mother, sat down outside taking the morning air. Maya was still asleep. She woke up in the middle of the night crying for her sister. It took a lot of effort and coaxing before she finally fell asleep.

Mrs Sarah could still remember Maya's pitiful cries and how she was calling out her sister's name.

"Rora, come back to me. I promise to be good"

"Rora, don't worry I will beat up that bad man"

"Rora, I promise to be good. Please don't leave me and momma. You know momma is missing you too"

That's how Maya cried till she fell asleep. Mrs Sarah was so heartbroken that she couldn't fall asleep even till the wee hours of this morning.

She had an uneasy feeling this morning…about Aurora. It's not like she doesn't trust the alpha but what about those people around him? Is her daughter safe around them?

Mrs Sarah decided to go and meet Clara when Maya woke up. She really needs to know everything about Alpha Jax. Even if he is her daughter's mate, he still needs to do the needful.

Mrs Sarah needs to be really sure about her daughter's life and welfare. Even though Beta Rufus had spoken to her last night, she is still not assured. She needs to talk to Alpha Jax, to get the assurance of her daughter's wellness from him.

She was in deep thoughts when she heard her daughter's piercing cry again, startling her. Before she got to Maya's room, she was already going towards Aurora's room. She ran to meet her.

"Baby, what's the matter? Why were you crying?", Mrs Sarah asked worriedly.

"Mother, I saw my sister. She was fighting with another Sister and the Sister put a knife in Sister Rora's body. Mother, where is Sister Rora?", Maya asked.

"Maya, it's just a dream. Your sister is very fine. She promised to come and see you after she finishes what she is doing", Mrs Sarah said.

"Are you sure, mother?"

"Yes, sweetheart. Now, we need to get you dressed so you won't be late on your first day in school", she said.

"Okay momma", Maya nodded hesitating, she still doesn't believe her sister was going to come but she had no choice, her mother said she would and her mother does not lie so she had no choice than to believe.

She walked slowly, back to her room to dress up for school. Since her sister wasn't around to dress her up, she had to do it herself. She missed Rora so much.

Mrs Sarah got dressed in less than an hour and went to drop her daughter at the Pack's junior School. After filling in the necessary information, she left the school.

She decided to go and meet Clara. She really needs to see her daughter. One thing she had noticed about her second daughter is her ability to foresee something that has happened or about to happen.

She had been unsettled since Maya told her about her dream this morning but she had to act brave and not let Maya see how worried she was. It might affect her daughter more.

Since the death of her husband, Aurora had been the one taking care of Maya. Aurora believes she sees her father in Maya.

She stopped the cab at the front of Clara's mansion. A servant escorted her directly to Clara's room. After exchanging pleasantries, Mrs Sarah went straight to her reason for visiting.

"Clara, take me to the Alpha's place. I need to see my daughter. I would never be settled if I don't see her today…and now", Mrs Sarah said with all seriousness.

"Is something wrong? You sound agitated. You know you can talk to me", Clara said, sounding concerned. She wondered what happened within just a night. Was she wrong about Alpha Jax?

"Clara, I am just worried about my daughter. Please take me there", Mrs Sarah said as she tried to fight off her tears.

"It's okay, Sarah. I will ask the chauffeur to take us there", Clara said, trying to calm her down

What has happened to Aurora? Sarah heart wouldn't stop thumping loud against her chest, she fears for the safety of her daughter.

ALPHA JAX MANSION

Jasmine was staring at the two men that walked into the room. Her body was shaking, She wondered if she was going to die or live but the latter is unlikely to happen.

Alpha Jax is definitely going to kill her.

The Alpha moved slowly towards her and held her chin up. His eyes were as red as molten lava. He stared deep into Jasmine's eyes as he questioned her one word.

"Did you plan to kill my mate?"

"Jax…", Jasmine wanted to say but was cut off with a slap that got her head spinning.

"How dare you! You dare call my name?"

"For…forgive me…Alpha…please have mercy on me! I didn't do anything for her anything. She attacked me first", Jasmine decided to deny all allegations after all, there wasn't any witness.

It will be Aurora's word against hers. And she was certain Jax would choose hers.

"She attacked you first? How?", Alpha Jax asked in a relaxed tone.

"I..I…I wanted to come and visit you this morning to apologise for what happened the night before. But I didn't know I was going to bump into…into..that girl…I mean Miss Aurora. When I told her I wanted to come and see you, she grew furious and attacked me. I had to defend myself", Jasmine explained in-between sobs.

"You defended yourself using a silver dagger? Why did you carry the dagger with you?", Alpha Jax asked.

"I..my father gave me, for defense if I am going out at night", she said.

"So you swear you are telling me the truth?

"I swear by my love for you, I am telling the truth", Jasmine said more determinedly.

"So my mate attacked you first? But that's not what the video showed. It also means your love wasn't real. It was fake just like your story now", Alpha Jax responded with a chuckle.

"What…what video?", Jasmine.

Beta Rufus steps forward to show her the footage.

"What do you have to say, Miss Jasmine Davis?", Alpha Jax's tone turned serious.

Jasmine knew there was only one way out. She would only use one tactics to defend herself if she wants to live.
